1st 3887 - Wansleydale Dorian Gray JW ShCEx OSW (Mrs L A Lawson) Handsome lad who I have judged previously and I still like him very much. Carries a level topline and is excellent over the croup with a correct tail set. Lovely head, soft expression, low set ears. Moves so easily on a long stride showing a clean pair of heels and carries his head high.

1st 3866 - Latjeata Jack's The Lad (Mrs L A Beasley) Longer in loin than the MPD and doesn’t have the spring of rib. Well boned, tight feet, good return of upper arm. Good head with stop and a defined occiput. Has great forward reach and carries his head high, lashing tail.

Junior Dog

1st 3901 - Radbrooks Brothers in Arms (Miss F Tompsett). This 14 mth old impressed me very much with his clean and elegant outline, short level back and wide quarters. There is no mistaking his type. He has muscular rounded bone, very good angulation, big ribs, plenty of depth and a tail set that is just below the level of his back. I loved his head and soft expression and his big nose. He moved so well holding his head high and lashing his tail. He was in my mind throughout all the other classes and I knew that he had to be up for top honours. RCC.

2nd 3893 - Ravensett Illusionist of Settavista (Miss R & Ms K Stead) Longer in back and loin than the winner so tended to crab on the move. Decent head with squarish muzzle, kind eye. Lovely silky coat.

3rd 3914 - Wandsfell Keep Me Close (Mr M Williams)

2nd 3909 - Culverwell Magic Touch (Mrs W & Miss K Whittington) A bit throatier than the winner and not as good in front movement. Balanced head, reachy neck, well ribbed up, excellent tail set.

2nd 3889 - Bournehouse Sirocco over Marissolo JW (Mrs M Osman) Handsome head with oval skull, low set ears, clear stop and lovely chiselling under his eyes. Plenty of heart and lung room, good shoulder placement, longer cast than the winner and doesn’t have the width of second thigh although has wide hips. 1st 3899 - Sh Ch Wansleydale Maybee JW (Mrs L Taylor). This striking very dark blue came into the ring and he owned it. He is masculine, full of breed type and elegant in appearance. He is stylish and noble, short in back and couplings and has excellent angulation. His head is so well balanced; oval skull, clear occiput, moderately deep and fairly square muzzle and a lovely big nose with which to scent game. His oval eyes are dark with the softest of expressions. He has a muscular and lean neck with a slight arch that adds to his elegance and it fits so cleanly into his well laid shoulders. He is well boned and stands on tight feet. I particularly liked his round and well sprung ribs giving him plenty of heart and lung room. He carries a long and silky coat. Impressive as he is on the stack he wowed me with his effortless and graceful movement. He has tremendous forward reach and shows a clean pair of heels going away. He possesses two very, for me, vital breed features; a head held high and a lashing tail. CC & BOB. I was delighted that he made the cut in the group.

2nd 3870 - Sh Ch Dyrham Desert Storm (Mr K & Mrs J Bishop) I found him a tad heavy in head for my preference and with that said he is very well made, presents a clean outline, has lovely big ribs, a deep chest, wide quarters and a strong loin. Powerful mover.

3rd 3896 - Sh Ch Tattersett Golden Sunrise (Mrs H S & Prof S M Stewart & Quenby)

1st 3879 - Sh Ch Tattersett Dark Honey JW (Mr & Mrs A Grimsdell) What an exquisite girl! I loved everything about her. Feminine, elegant and so clean in outline. Her head is a thing of beauty with plenty of brain room, long and reasonably lean, moderately deep and fairly square muzzle, oval eyes with the most benign expression that looks right into one’s soul with delicate chiselling underneath. Muscular neck, superb front assembly giving plenty of dog in front, short back, well muscled quarters and correctly set tail. She was wonderful on the move and set the standard for the rest to match up to. In the challenge she had to give way to a bitch on top form and I was delighted to award her the RCC. BVIB.

2nd 3867 - Wansleydale Amaretto at Latjeata (Mrs L A Beasley) A super bitch who holds her shape on the move, has great forward reach and a lashing tail.

2nd 3868 - Wansleydale Mayflower at Latjeata (Mrs L A Beasley) Another very lovely head with plenty of work in it. Bit longer in loin than the winner whose tail set I preferred. Has a graceful action and carries herself well.

1st 3919 - Sh Ch Bournehouse Guilty Secret (Mrs P D A Williams) This BB&T is full of type and epitomises the breed. She has elegance and substance and presents a stunning outline on the stack. She is so very well balanced, has an excellent forechest, well laid shoulders and length and return of upper arm. She has the very best ribbing, a deep brisket, short back, strong and muscular loin, excellent croup and tail set, wide thighs, well bent stifles and excellent second thigh development. Her head is well balanced and utterly beautiful, has dark oval eyes with a melting expression, exquisite chiselling, a definite stop and excellent finish to her muzzle. It fits cleanly into her rather long and muscular neck that has an elegant arch at the crest and flows into her shoulders. Her coat is long and silky to the touch, well feathered and expertly presented. She is a graceful mover carrying her head high and lashing her tail. CC.

2nd 3900 - Leilasett Northern Lights over Radbrooks (Miss F Tompsett) A lovely bitch who doesn’t have the depth of muzzle of the winner but has a strong neck fitting cleanly into well laid shoulders, a level topline and good quarters. Moved well.
