Special Beginners Dog (3,0 absent)

A class of 3 young promising pups.

1st and Best Special Beginner. James’ , Piacente Uomo Saggio. 8 month old White and Orange. Balanced young man, head yet to develop but with correct planes and ear set. Strong neck into well laid shoulders and forechest. Of the desired body proportions and topline , good hindquarters with a developing width of second thigh. Best mover in the class.

2nd Gilman’s, Piacente Incenso. 8 month old White and Orange Litter brother to1 and many of the same remarks apply. I preferred his head, but not yet as well developed bodily as his brother. Moved well when settled.

3rd Preston’s, Cartrefyspin Oren Seville

Veteran Dog (1,0 absent)

1st Blythe’s, Sh Ch Larlilo Morello.10 year old Brown Roan of excellent breed type. Divergent head planes with correct roof like skull giving the desired spinone expression. Powerful neck with desired crest, he was well balanced for and aft . Correct croup, good width of second thigh. Excellent coat texture and desired thick skin. Obviously passing on his qualities as sire of my Best of Breed.

Puppy Dog (6,0 absent)

1st Rossiter’s Inostricani Time Will Tell. Best Puppy in Breed. Lovely 10 month old Brown Roan , very typical of this kennel with his lovely correct height to length ratio. Good head with correct head planes and pronounced occiput. Short strong neck into well laid shoulders. Excellent feet and bone. Loved his easy Spinone trot, moved well for one so young. Good texture to his coat and desired thick skin

2nd Beecham and Sharp’s Affiliato Jump with Style at Rydonmist. 11 month old White and Orange boy with lots to like about him and much more mature than the other pups in the class. Good head. Well muscled strong neck into good shoulders and front and balanced hindquarters. Moved well. I just felt that my winner was more mature in body which gave him the more typical outline.

3rd Jame’s Piacente Uomo Saggio

Junior Dog (2,0 absent)

1st Blythe’s Stowledge Soul of Blymara. Square and well balanced Brown Roan Good head with correct skull to muzzle ratio. Good shoulder placement but a little shorter in neck than I would like, Well ribbed with short strong loin. Coat of good colour and texture. Moved well.

2nd Beecham and Sharps Affiliato Jump with Style at Rydonmist – repeat

Graduate Dog (1,0 absent)

1st Cook’s Connomar Ciprello of Roughmoor. Beautifully balanced brown roan, just needs a touch more maturity to complete the picture . Pronounced occiput and lovely crest to neck of correct length. Shoulders well laid back , correct topline . Good coat and skin. Moved well with such a typical Spinone trot, looked like he could go all day.

Post Graduate (5,0 absent)

1st Hope’s Testaverde Selwyn Flogit. Brown Roan boy with correct outline. Particularly good well balanced head with the the desired expression. Strong neck into well laid shoulders, best front in the class. Correct length of loin , well muscled hindquarters and good tail set. Good coat and skin. Moved well , pushed hard for top honours.

2nd Watt’. s Diggmere Baby Bear Another lovely brown boy, who is maturing nicely. Lovely head and expression. Well muscled fore and aft with sufficient angulation. Bodying up nicely but first slightly more mature. Good coat and skin. Moved well.

3rd Etche’s Tintibel This Is The One

Limit (5, 1 absent)

1st Cayford and Hanscombe’s Diggmere Winwood Ranger. A lovely robust Brown Roan dog , who played his handler up a bit but his placing and RCC could not be denied. Typical outline, strong bone with good head and expression, ears well set on . Very good front, well ribbed , plenty of heart and lung room. Well muscled loin. Hindquarters were muscular with good width of second thigh. Moved well, coat and skin good.

2nd Wain’s Talpalupo Lazzaro at Lajatico. Giving away a bit in age and maturity to 1 but a White and Orange boy with lovely head and expression, correct head planes and pronounced occiput. Powerful crested neck into well laid back shoulders, topline correct. Hind quarters well muscled and with good bend of stifle. Good large feet . Moved with a relaxed trot. Just needs a little more body to complete the picture, which I am sure will come with age.

3rd Giles Fiducia Cho Oyu at Miavita

Open (5,0 absent)

1st Whittingham, Bexon and Wrights Rubino Spinone Del Mucrone with Riccini. WOW ! White and Orange boy that just comes alive on the move with that typical trot, maintaining his topline, and just looks like he could work all day without tiring. Divergent head planes with pronounced occiput , lean skull. Eyes giving the desired expression. Crested strong neck merging into well laid shoulder , strong oval bone and correct feet. Good topline into powerful hindquarters with good width of second thigh. Coat and skin typical of the breed. Well handled particularly on the move where he was allowed to demonstrate his lovely movement at the correct speed. Delighted to give him the CC and BOB and can only get even better with maturity.

2nd Hinton’s Inostricani On A Mission. White and Orange boy, different type to 1 but I liked his square balanced outline and good bone and feet. Head a little broad in back skull for my taste but a well constructed dog that showed power and substance throughout. Moved well. .Pushed hard for RCC

Special Beginners Bitch (1,0 absent)

1st De Grave’s Stowledge Sahara. 14 month old White and Orange bitch, still has some maturing to do which I would expect at this age Shown in good coat and condition. Nice head with correct head planes and expression. Good bone and width of second thigh. Moved well.

Veteran Bitch (5,1 absent)

Tough class to judge, with 4 beautiful bitches, really little to choose between them all

1st RCC and Best Veteran in Breed – Guest’s Sh Ch Bardontop Spells Chaos, White and Orange bitch of 9 years. Have admired this bitch since a pup, and delighted to get the opportunity to judge her . Such a typical mature spinone outline with correct angulation fore and aft, excellent bone and feet. Feminine head and expression. Good coat and skin. Well muscled and moved soundly Pushed hard for the CC

2nd Hibb’s Testaverde Rule the World. Lovely to see this “young” lady out again. Brown Roan of nearly 8 years. Beautiful head with lean roof like skull. Another that was balanced and so square in outline Good coat, skin and colour. Moved well with a powerful trot.

3rd Woodwards Sh Ch Connomar Zambana

Puppy Bitch (4,1 absent)

1st Rossiter’s Inostricani Blossom White and Orange litter sister to my puppy dog winner and many of the same remarks apply. Square in outline with good body and maturity for her age ,which is where she scored over the other pups in the class. Good head with correct head planes and expression. Good front and rear assembly. Excellent bone, moved well and very happily, enjoying her day.

2nd Gile’s Piacente Mocia at Miavita. White and Orange of 8 months. Good overall shape, with correct angulation front and back, width of second thigh. Body developing nicely for her age. Presented in good coat and condition , moved well.

3rd Davies Cartrefyspin Oren Sunburst

Junior Bitch (3,0 absent)

3 bitches of very much different types.

1st Barret’s Barold Forever Faithful. White and orange , liked her height to length ratio, topline good with well muscled loin. Well laid back shoulder and good well muscled correctly angulated hindquarters. Sufficient bone, nice feet and good coat and skin. Would of liked slightly more length of muzzle to balance head proportions. Moved well.

2nd Kruglow’s Stowledge Scilla at Inacntevole. White and Orang. Preferred the head of this white and orange young lady. Very good front , would have preferred slightly more rear angulation to complete the balance in outline,

1st Lawton’s Quebaikei Heather ‘n’ Honey for Oaklaw. Very sound White and Orange bitch. Lovely head and expression , strong neck in to well laid shoulders. Loved her good length and depth of rib , short coupled with moderate bend of stifle and with correct width of thigh. Good bone but would of liked larger feet

2nd Wain's Lajatico Bobini Slightly younger Brown Roan bitch giving a bit away in maturity ,good head planes and pronounced occiput. Correct top line and minimum tuck up. Very good skin and coat. Lovely bone and feet Moved well.

3rd Guests Connomar Ramacca with Bardontop

1st Lewsley’s Limincello Sunrise at Estover Z Niedzwiedziej Jamy. White and Orange bitch with balanced outline. Good head and expression. Well bodied with good depth to chest , well boned with good feet. Moderate angulation to the rear and moved well

2nd Davies Valska Vd Turfhoeve Am Cartrefyspin (imp Nld). 5 year old White and Orange , loved her colouring. Mature in body with well laid shoulders, pronounced sternum and good heart and lung room. Correct rear angulation , lovely muscle tone and condition. Just felt she was slightly longer cast than 1

3rd Boyes Weston Inostricani Athena

Open (8,1 absent)

1st Anderson’s and Mayne’s Sh Ch Annilann Temptress Del Michiamo (JW). White and Orange bitch that won this strong class on her movement. Beautifully balanced in outline , with a good lay back of shoulder. Correct depth and length of rib. Short coupled in to very good hindquarters. Well muscled and exhibited in correct coat and body condition. Lovely feminine head and expression. In the challenge her lovely movement gave her the CC in a very strong line up.

2nd James Sh Ch Inostricani Fianna Sh C Ex. Another quality White and Orange bitch. Mature and balanced in outline. Handled and presented to advantage. Correct angulation fore and aft. Well bodied , good bone and feet. Nice head with good eye and expression.

3rd Cove Print’s Colourbox Fanny By Gaslight
