Breed: Finnish Lapphund
VD 5(1) 1. Samuel’s Oberitz Upponalle. 10 year old brown wolf sable male in lovely condition and defying his veteran years, broad masculine skull with defined stop, dark eye and keen expression, nicely angulated throughout with straight forelegs, oval feet, balanced outline, he moved out well with a free stride and presented in good coat, BV. 2. Small/Thompson’s Ansalfrose Jani. 8 years, wolf sable, masculine head and expression, well set ears, broad skull, dark eye, good neck, well set shoulder, sound body proportions with firm top-line, coat condition could be better especially on his tail, moved ok but would like him more settled in his front action. 3. Williams/Soar’s Thistleglen Sir Basil. MPD 1(0) 1. Smith/Ross’ Starlapps Varri. Smartly presented black/tan young male of 8 months, lovely masculine head with dark expressive eye, well set ears, strong muzzle, straight forelegs of good bone, well set shoulder with depth of brisket, sound body proportions, well muscled in rear, good tail carriage, a little loose going away but this should improve as he matures, in lovely coat. PD 1(0) 1. Smith/Ross’ Starlapps Varri. Repeat. PGD 3(0) 1. Lloyd’s Arianrhod Havukruunu (AI). Well presented black/tan male of 18½ months, lovely expressive head which was broad with well set ears, dark eye and strong muzzle, well placed shoulder with ideal body proportions, he held a firm top-line and had balanced angulation, took time to settle but when he did he showed some brisk effortless movement, good tail carriage, in excellent coat and in well muscled condition. 2. Matheson’s Thistleglen Gandalf. 3½ year old tan/white male where I preferred the head and body proportions of 1, could be broader in skull, straight forelegs and oval feet, good depth of chest, firm top-line, quite erratic when moving especially when going away. 3. Williams/Soar’s Thistleglen Apollo. LD 3(0) 1. Whyman/Murray’s Lappviken Keltainen of Manu JW. Really liked this black/tan young male of nearly 2 years, see he was the son of my DCC and had many of his father’s attributes, masculine and expressive broad head with well set ears, dark eye and strong muzzle, lovely balanced angles front and rear with firm top-line and sound body proportions, he was fit and well muscled all through and dressed in an immaculate coat of excellent quality, moved with a free brisk gait covering the ground well, RDCC. 2. Small/Thompson’s Ansalfrose Weikko JW. 2½ years, well presented wolf sable, not quite the strength of 1, he had a masculine head with expressive dark eye, well set ears, straight forelegs and good depth to his chest, sound body proportions, firm top-line and lovely short strong loin, he moved out well with an effortless stride. 3. Matheson’s Lihkku Jahki at Thistleglen (imp SWE). OD 5(0) 1. Forsey’s Ch. Arianrhod Black Sun Aeon at Muzoku. Really liked this black/tan male of 5½ years, broad skull with well set erect ears, dark expressive eye, defined stop, well placed shoulder and neat elbows, good depth of brisket, lovely body proportions, ideal outline standing and moving, he was fit and well muscled and this showed in his effortless brisk movement, presented in an excellent quality coat, DCC & BOB. 2. Anderson’s Limishka Vainamoinen. Another well presented male of 4½ years, wolf sable, alert and on his toes, masculine head with broad skull, defined stop and strong muzzle, dark eye, ideal body proportions, good layback of shoulder and depth of brisket, short strong loin and good spring in rib, well muscled in rear, he moved out well, just not quite as clean in rear as 1. 3. Meikle/Henderson’s Elbereth Etiainen at Lintukoto JW. SBB 2(1) 1. Clark’s Aateli Koira Vakker Yuna at Lumenico (imp FRA). Pretty wolf sable bitch of just 17 months, feminine expressive head with well set ears and dark eye, presented in lovely coat, she moved out well in profile although a little close in rear going away, well let down hocks, she was fit and well muscled and was well handled, BSpB. VB 2(0) 1. Stanley’s Ansalfrose Jojanna. 8 years, red/white, feminine head and expression, strong neck and shoulders, dark eye, well set ears, good depth of brisket and well ribbed with short loin, quite unsettled on the move today but did show some fair movement in profile, well carried tail. 2. Matheson’s Thistleglen Wilma. 10 year old bitch brown wolf sable, not the head of 1 where she could have more strength and found her a little long in muzzle, good depth of brisket and straight forelegs with oval feet, would like more balanced body proportions, quite unsettled the move. MPB 1(0) 1. Isherwood’s Starlapps Javri. Promising black/tan bitch of just 8½ months, appealing feminine head with keen expression, dark eye, correctly set ears, strong muzzle, balanced angles front and rear with ideal body proportions, she held a firm top-line and was confident and accurate on the move, presented in excellent coat and well muscled condition, liked her very much. PB 3(0) 1. Forsey’s Muzoku Devil’s Daughter. Another promising young bitch of 10 months, black/tan with feminine broad head, strong muzzle and dark eye, well placed ears and defined stop, strong neck with well set shoulder, good depth to her brisket, well ribbed and ideal body proportions, needs to tighten up all through which I’m sure will come with maturity, BP. 2. Isherwood’s Starlapps Javri. Repeat. 3. Matheson’s Thistleglen’s Kind of Magic. JB 2(0) 1. Clark’s Aateli Koira Vakker Yuna at Lumenico (imp FRA). Repeat. 2.Matheson’s Thistleglen’s Kind of Magic. Black/tan of 11 months, pretty head where I would like more definition in skull, dark eye, straight forelegs where she could have a little more bone, good depth in chest, level top-line, moved ok. Black/white bitch of 6½ years, dark eye, well placed ears of correct size, strong neck and shoulders, straight forelegs and oval feet, she had good depth to her brisket and well placed elbows, would like better body proportions, coat quality could be improved, moved out ok.
