Breed: Newfoundland
JD 2(1) 1. Sheridan’s Two Rivers Wise Choice at Colnbear (imp USA). 14 months, broad masculine head with dark almond shaped eyes and excellent pigment, he had good forechest and depth of brisket, strong neck leading into a well placed shoulder, he had sound proportions albeit slightly ‘bum high’ at the moment which will correct as he matures, he moved out well with a balanced gait and was presented in excellent coat and condition. LD 6(1) 1. Hunt’s Zentaur Jam Master Joy. Beautifully presented brown of 4 years, expressive masculine head which was broad, lovely strength and shape to his muzzle, eye toning with coat, he was balanced throughout with good body proportions, strong neck, well set shoulder, strong bone and large feet, firm top-line, he moved out freely with good reach and drive from a well muscled rear, RDCC. 2. Arkell’s Grimm Black Cullinan for Cannark (imp POL). Another lovely male, black, 4 years, lots of quality and presented in absolutely tip top condition, masculine broad skull with equal head proportions, muscular neck, strongly made throughout, well set shoulder, good depth of brisket, short strong loin, sound and balanced on the move. 3. Mercer’s Larkharbour Falcon. OD 4(3) 1. Blake’s Ch. Sandbears Masterpiece. Surprised to see this male when I have previously awarded him a CC, black of 5 years presented in tip top order and has matured into a really eye-catching example of the breed, masculine head of equal proportions, expressive dark eye, strong muzzle with depth, good forechest, well laid shoulder, ideal body proportions, sound in top-line, excellent angulation fore and rear, he moved out with a balanced steady stride covering the ground with ease and duly rewarded with the DCC and BOB, pleased to see him awarded G2 later in the day, congratulations. VB 1(0) 1. Coldwell’s Ch. Zentaur This Is Jam Hot (AI) JW ShCEx OSW. RBCC, BV & VG1. Another bitch who I have rewarded with top honours in the past, brown, 7 years, strong yet feminine head which was both expressive and kind, lovely eye toning with her well groomed coat, strong neck leading into a well placed shoulder, good depth of chest and strong bone, large feet, balanced in her proportions with firm top-line, she was so easy on the eye when moving, pleased to see her win the Veteran Group later in the day. MPB 4(0) 1. Hosie’s Shadowrise Smash ’n Grab. Well presented young black bitch of 9 months, feminine head with kind expression, broad skull and strength in muzzle, dark eye and good pigmentation, strong neck and well laid shoulder, firm top-line, she moved out with a good stride in profile but would prefer a cleaner movement ‘coming to’, well presented in hard condition. 2. Royle’s Royleway Madelina. Raw black youngster of just 6½ months, very much a baby and obviously needs to develop but she had a dark expressive eye and a feminine head that is developing well, she had balanced angulation and was sound in top-line, moved out steadily with an easy free gait, presented in coat of lovely condition, super confident in the ring. 3. Rennison’s Oukaya Forever Asteria of Kismet (imp FRA) NAF. PB 3(0) 1. Hosie’s Shadowrise Smash ’n Grab. Repeat. 2. Payne’s Newetta’s I Melt Your Heart at Squestpaws (imp DNK). 11 months, white and black, overall a soundly made bitch but she needs further development in body and would prefer her to have a little more bone for ideal, feminine expressive head with dark eye, good depth of chest, top-line could improve and she lacked muscle tone, moved out with a steady gait. 3. Royle’s Royleway Lucinda. JB 2(1) 1. McDonald’s Sandbears Dreams and Wishes. A really lovely black bitch of 17 months who ticked the boxes for me today, very feminine and expressive head with dark eye and the kindest of expression, she had strength but was not overdone in any way, strong neck and well placed shoulder, lovely body proportions, good depth of chest and strong bone, well ribbed back with short strong loin, she was muscled and fit and presented in tip top condition, she moved out with lovely reach and drive and was an easy choice for the BCC, later told this was the daughter of my BOB, I am sure her crowning CC isn’t too far away. LB 2(0) 1. Arkell’s Camnoire She’s A Star by Cannark. 4 year old black bitch presented in immaculate condition, lovely feminine head and kindest of expression, dark eye, strong muzzle and broad skull, she could be a little ‘up on leg’ for preference but her angulation front and rear was balanced, firm top-line, soundly made throughout with good bone, she moved out with a free and steady gait. 2. Constable’s Valhalabears Just In Time. Brown bitch of 2½ years, kind feminine head and expression, eye toning with coat, strong neck, well laid shoulder with good return of upper arm, strong bone and large feet, good depth of chest, well ribbed back with strong loin, firm top-line, moved out with good reach and drive covering the ground well, presented in excellent coat and well muscled condition. OB 4(2) 1. Coldwell’s Twillin Gate Villustrious Zentaur (imp BEL) JW. Beautifully presented black bitch of 2½ years who ticked many boxes for me today, she had a broad skull without losing her femininity, strong muzzle of good depth, excellent pigmentation, liked her balanced body proportions and matching angulation, firm top-line and well muscled throughout, she moved with a good stride but unfortunately something was distracting her outside the ring which cost her further consideration for top honours. 2. Bull’s King of Helluland Blue Organza. Another well presented black bitch of 5 years, feminine strong head which was broad with strength and depth in her muzzle, dark eye, strong neck, well placed shoulder, strong bone and large feet, sound in body proportions with firm top-line, she was well ribbed back, moved well enough but just not as balanced as 1 in the rear today, in excellent coat and well muscled condition.
