This was a huge honour to judge at this show and I would like to thank the Club and committee for this appointment.

Thank you to my two stewards Larry and Nicola for doing a great job at keeping everything running smoothly.

Thank you to the exhibitors for the opportunity to go over your Pomeranians and taking your placings in a sporting manner.

As expected these days type is varied but many still tick points of the breed standard. Movement today was very erratic and made for some difficult judgments and type had to come out on top. I found very few with typical pretty heads and as such you lose the sweet expression I was looking for.

Since my last appointment I felt bites were poor and while the muzzle looked fine inside some narrow jaws not allowing for a complete dentition which surprised me as most are import bred and they do not tolerate poor bites. I am not a teeth fanatic but this needs addressing.

On a plus only a couple of small open fonts in younger exhibits so as a breed this has improved which can only be for the good of the dog and the breed. Also, no incorrect coats as coats were of good texture and correct double coats although a few were over sculptured.

1st Mrs S Smith – Sueacres Catch A Dream

6 months old, orange sable, a smart, correct size dog, lovely head with the sweet expression, correct eye, tiny ears, excellent front, short compact body, well set tail, good rear with medium angulation, moved true fore and aft. Coat of good colour and texture coming in. He just flagged in the final run off, but only a baby. One with a bright future I am sure.

2nd Mrs & Mr Ellen – Klassna Dreams Are Magic

6 months old, good orange, lovely head, nice eye, slightly larger ear than 1, short neck, a fraction longer in loin, moved well, well set tail. Good coat. Promising puppy.

3rd Mrs & Mr Ellen – Klassna That’s My Dream

Difficult class of youngsters mix of type and most today needed to settle on move, all had breed points to like.

11 months old black, exquisite head, tiny ears, correct eye, short neck, nicely boded, correct size, lacks a little in rear angulation and needs to mature in chest, moved ok, loved his overall type

2nd Miss Boyes – Poshdonpoms Shooting Stars

11 months old orange, pleasing head, correct eye, slightly large ear, short neck, good front, well ribbed, enough rear angulation, well set tail with good plume, excellent coat which just needs trimming slightly differently to enhance his shape, my initial winner but unsettled on on move today.

1st BPD & BPIS Miss Boyes – Poshdonpoms Touch Of Class

11 month old, pretty head, correct eye, ears ok and well set, straight front with good lay of shoulder, short neck into a good body, short coupled, good rear angles and well set tail, not the cleanest sable colour but excellent profuse, correct double harsh coat, again slightly improved trimming would enhance him. Moved well fore and aft and one of the few who going round looked elegant and carried himself proudly.

2nd Miss Cregg – Lireva’s Magical Dream JW

15 months old, orange sable, head correct ratio, eye ok, slightly large ears, front ok, good body, short coupled into reasonable quarters, well set tail, in good coat presented well, moved ok as a little untidy in front and a little close behind today. Well handled to advantage.

6 months old, orange, lots to like in this baby, pleasing head with a good eye, well set ears, lovely straight front, well bodied short coupled with good quarters, well set tail. Moved nice and steadily and true.

2nd Miss Lovell – Pawsamy’s Hank Summer Dream

10 months old, orange, small dog, pretty head, eye fractionally round, ears well set, short neck, into solid body a fraction long in loin, quarters ok, well set tail, moved very true up and back just drops a bit long going round which cost him in the Puppy class.

1st Mrs Neve – Styalways I'm Still Standing

22 months old, orange dog, his muzzle is a fraction stronger than I like and eyes a bit round but he has a pleasing expression and has a short neck into a good body, well set tail, he moved well. Not in full coat but enough. He needs his chest coat trimming to enhance his shape.

2nd Mrs Cawthera-Purdy – Lireva’s Impossible Dream

15 months old, light orange, correct muzzle, good eye, ears a fraction low, short neck, nicely bodied, reasonable quarters. Well set tail. Correct coat but would benefit from a tidy as looks a bit untidy close up. Despite his experienced handler this dog was not giving an inch. He unfortunately is not a happy soul on the table or on the floor and although he moves reasonably straight he drops down and going round looks like he is grovelling.

1st, DCC, RBIS Mrs Smith – Sueacres Centre Stage

20 months old, orange sable, he has a good eye, well set ears, good stop, he appears fractionally stronger in muzzle than ideal but some of this is the black marking, he has a pleasing expression, Short neck, into body with good rib cage, short loin, medium rear angulation, well set tail. Moves steady and true and holds his shape on the move, a good silhouette when stood, overall a pleasing exhibit. Shown in good coat lightly trimmed to enhance him, well set tail with good plume for age. He gave a good overall performance today and I understand that this CC gives him his title, Congratulations.

2nd RCC Mrs Cawthera- Purdy – Lireva’s Wild and Wonderful

20 months old, a good orange, nice small size, he has a correct muzzle, correct eye and ears set is ok, not quite the expression for me, short neck in to a good front, nicely bodied. Well set tail, medium angulation, he moved well in front can crab a fraction behind, he does pull together on stand and makes a good shape but can drop a fraction long going round. He is slightly over trimmed for me but has a well set tail with good plume. On overall picture and final move RCC.

1st Mrs Cawthera-Purdy – Ch Lireva’s The Power and Glory

One I judged previously now 5 years, he has a lovely head which has a correct eye, well set ears into short neck, well bodied and well set tail he was shown in full correct coat with well set tail. He has settled and moved ok but not as clean behind. Good shape when stood. Well presented and shown to advantage.

2nd Mrs & Mr Ellen – Klassna Man Of Mystery

3 1/2 years old, rich orange, a fraction stronger than 1 in head, but of nice type overall, in good coat, well set tail, moved ok. Pleasing shape when stood.

6 months old, lovely orange, another baby with much to like, correct head, good eye, slightly large ear, short neck in to good front, another fractionally long in loin, lacks a little angulation at rear, well set tail, moved ok.

Fabulous dual purpose bitch, 9 months old, orange, lovely head, correct eye, good stop, well set ears, super front, good lay of shoulder, well bodied, short loin in to medium angulation at rear, well set tail with full plume, in correct harsh coat. She looked good stood and moving. Seriously considered for the CC, just messed about on final run but this young lady has an exciting future.

Another nice bitch, orange, 11 months old, smaller stamp but lots to like, correct head, good pigment, correct front, nice body, good quarters, moved true for and after, good silhouette when stood, Sadly out of coat today.

17 months old, orange bitch, lovely head and expression, short neck in to good front, nicely bodied in to good quarters, high set tail, in good coat of correct harshness, she moved true, she can over show and stand long but on final go round she came in perfect and took the class.

2nd Miss Campbell – In Time Poms New Beginnings At Diemzs (Imp Bgr) JW

17 months old, orange bitch, nice eye good head and stop, similar to one in type, square with a good coat and moved well, well set tail, in full coat, she threw the class away today as she kept standing underneath herself at the rear and spoiling her profile when standing.

21 months old, good orange, head is correct with good stop but lacks for me in expression, ears ok, short neck, not quite the rear angulation of 1, smaller build, longer in loin, high set tail, moved ok had a tendency to drop long going round and occasionally standing today.
