SKC 2025 General Championship show A really enjoyable day judging this lovely breed that never fails to impress me with their gentle temperaments and striking looks. PD and BPD 1 Lawtons Garsak Sir Winslow at Thornbrae a really nice fawn dog with much to admire, of good size with excellent bone and strength throughout but still with an air of elegance, masculine head with good fill under the eyes and strong muzzle, arched neck into muscular well laid shoulders and deep through the body, he carries himself well and moved out freely with good drive, very promising 2 Bartleys Primus Gambler Atelib, another handsome youngster with a strong neck of good length, straight well boned forelegs and good feet, he has a firm topline but is a fraction short in rib, he has good muscling to his rear and well angulated quarters and also moved out very well, I just preferred the overall shape of the 1st dog today JD (0) PGD (3) 1 Maganaris & Booth Roucandane Tempest Hebrus brindle dog of ample bone and size, he has a pleasing head, well shaped, of good proportions and with correctly set ears, neck is of good length into long well laid shoulders, he still needs to fill out a little in front but he is deep through the chest with a slight tuck up and well angulated in the rear, he could be a bit more animated on the move but he was the truest in the class 2 Watson-Hall Adoreadane Frank Senatra (ai) a nicely marked harlequin with a clean white coat, strong and masculine head, arched neck into good shoulders, enough depth of brisket and broad muscled hindquarters, just tending to roach his topline slightly when stacked but moved out well enough 3 Mcguinness & Nelson-Mcguinness Dinahtron The Omen LD (3) 1 Mackenzies Islandrose A Nod to Vincent at Carsan (IKC) 2 yr blue dog of ample size and presented in top overall condition, masculine head with moderate width of skull and good length of foreface, ears could be a little better, muscular neck of good length, forelegs straight and strong with good bone to arched feet , well muscled shoulders and a firm topline, moved out accurately ad easily with a springy action, 2 Burns Kinnegans Wasn't Born to Follow for Carricktaigh (ai) (IKC) A good looking 3 yr fawn with a pleasing head and kind eye, ample neck and good lay of shoulder, he still needs to develop a little more in front and firm up his topline but he moves out really well which a typical springey action. 3 Mcculloch Allours Gabriel OD (7,2) 1 and DCC, BOB Chappells Ch Selmalda Jealous Guy (ai) a 4yr old well marked brindle presented in super condition, striking and balanced in outline with a well proportioned head, good fill under the eye, broad muzzle and square lips, strong arched neck and long well laid shoulders. He stands true in front on strong oval bone and good feet, I particularly liked the flow from his neck through to withers and firm level topline and his well developed, but not overdone forechest and depth of chest. On the move he goes easily and accurately around the ring 2 and RDCC Searles Murrayvhayle My Main Man a big strong handsome fawn with an excellent head and mask, good length of foreface, lips square and not overdone and well set ears, strong neck set into muscular shoulders and well developed in front with depth to chest, a firm topline and tidy underline, moved as one with his owner. Close decision between these two 3 Gilberts Lomondane Chuffed Tae Bits VD (0) SBD (0) GCD (0) PB (4) 1 and BCC, BPIB Page and Concannons Novavida Aesirs Conquest, a most beautiful light brindle with such elegance and ring presence, yes she is immature in so many ways but so well made, lovely head shape and well set ears but she did tend to lay them back on occasion, long neck flowing into shoulders with a level topline to a slightly arched loin, still needing to fill in front and to deepen but she has such a great shape with good angles front and rear and was moved and shown to advantage displaying a lovely spring in her strides, I always think twice about awarding a CC to a puppy but I had to go with what I thought on the day and my eye kept going back to her. 2 Jacques & Kirby X-Foot’s Siggys Snow Queen Elsa (Imp Swe) very much the baby of the bunch and with a lot of growing to do, I really liked her head which I found very feminine, she has deep set eyes and such a kind expression, well boned forelegs still with plenty of knuckle to allow her to grown on and she is nicely angulated front and rear, a hopeful prospect if she carries on growing the way she is now. 3 Armours Garsak Rainfall at Thistledane JB (5,3) 1 Whites Jutlander’s Eat Your Heart Out at Taradanes a well made and very attractive 12mth fawn, I liked her in profile where everything flows on her from her elegant arched neck through to her firm topline and strong loin, she has a well proportioned head with dark eye and a kindly expression along with high set ears which she used to enhance this, clean neck of good length and well laid shoulders with elbows held close and standing on straight strong forelegs, she gaits well all ways with a nice spring to her stride but I would have liked to see a better head carriage 2 Pendleton-Watkins Goldania's Princess Etain 13mth fawn who presents a clean balanced outline, feminine well chiselled head and high set ears, good length of neck and lay of shoulder, excellent bone with strong pasterns and arched feet, enough depth of brisket for her age , moved out well with drive from the rear but a little untidy in front 3 Prazak & Dickson Kaallana Jawska Seraphina Cjw25 PGB (8,2) Unfortunately I did feel the need to withhold a place from 2 exhibits in this class and it had nothing to do with the eye colour as I am well aware of what the standard states. In both cases I was unable to assess the movement and therefore unable to ascertain soundness 1 Novavida Aesirs Conquest (see PB) 2 Novavida Shieldmaiden 11mth fawn who I liked in the puppy class but she was rather unsettled, she has an attractive head with a good length of muzzle, high set triangular ears and dark eye, not quite as mature in body as 1st but much to appreciate in respect of her size and overall shape, here she was much more together and looking particularly good in side profile 3 Merwicks Taradanes Star Vision for Saalan LB (7,2) 1 Hayters Taysca Stele Mici with Stevarah this lovely blue was my BP last time I judged and it is really good to see how she is maturing on. In profile she stacks up really well to give a pleasing and quite elegant outline and is strong in bone and substance and stands true on front on good bone and arched feet, she is well muscled all through and moved out easily with good rear drive and a lovely spring in her step, splitting hairs for the RBCC but I just preferred the slightly more feminine head of the open winner, however a worthy winner of this class and very well handled to get the best from her 2 Martins Keishant Athena an elegant fawn girl, attractive and feminine in head with a good black mask and correct drop of lip, lovely neck and shoulders, well shaped body with deep brisket and well sprung ribs, she moved out soundly enough but lacked the drive of the winner, 3 Jacques & Kirby Jacqukir Time for Change OB This was a really lovely class of quality bitches, an absolute pleasure to judge (7) 1 and RBCC Clarks Ch Garsak Summer Days at Mintrex a feminine fawn, very elegant in stance but still with strength, pleasing head proportions with enough width to muzzle and correct lip, long neck flowing into well laid shoulders and standing true in front with elbows well under her body, deep in brisket with a shapely underline, well angulated hindquarters with strong hocks allowing her to cover the ground freely and easily 2 Fergusons Renescent Too Hot to Handle for Chateaudain Lux Jch Cw25 JW I really liked the elegant and flowing outline of this blue b, she is still very young to be competing in the open class but really held her own here, she has a pleasing head and strong neck of some length enabling good head carriage, long well laid shoulders and a firm level topline, body is well ribbed and she is nicely muscled in the rear and stands on strong hocks which she used to advantage as she went around the ring with soundness and fluidity, really just needing to body up and mature on but one with a very bright future I would think 3 Harrisons Rioco My One and Only to Jasnettdanes JW SBB (1) 1 and SB Group 1 Prazak & Dickson Kaallana Jawska Seraphina Cjw25 15mth medium sized black with a very nice head and expression coming from her clean dark eye, she stands on straight well boned forelegs and good feet, just a little lacking in forechest currently but with a firm level topline, slight arch to loin and clean underline, presented in lovely coat and overall condition, there is a lot to like appreciate her for and I was delighted to watch her win the SB group later in the day congratulations! GCB (1) Grants Lomondane Ca Canny at Eildane 5 yr fawn who was a little heavy all through, attractive head and eye and enough length of foreface, well developed in the fore with deep brisked but would have liked a better lay of shoulder and she tends to pin in a little in front which spoils the over all picture. However she did move out very well with strength from the rear Bridgette Bodle
