Breed: German Shepherd Dog
City of Birmingham 28/8/2025 GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG Thank you to all who entered, regardless of type I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the entry. SBD (1)1 Morgans Lornstone Sijur b/g boy who is up to size but was presented in fit condition and in good coat, handsome head with upright ears set correctly, I would have liked a little more angulation at the shoulder but he has a well ribbed body with fair topline to sloping croup and stands well behind on strong hocks allowing him to gait out soundly and easily, lightly handled to get the best from him. VD (3) STEPHENS, Brightmeadow Who Dares Wins ShCEx a b/g who I have had the pleasure of before and today he is looking as good as I have seen him, although he sometimes stands with his front legs too far under his body giving an impression of an overangulated front, when you get your hands on him you can feel he is actually correct in front with good angulation and length of upper arm. He has a straight backline to sloping group and muscled quarters with strong parallel hocks. Sound on the out and back with precision in front and gaiting out in style, pleased to award him BVIB 2 KEARNAN & WILSON Swiss Ir Ch NL Ch Int Ch HR Ch Lux Ch Clynalwin's Nukon a handsome well grown male with excellent bone, proportionate head with width to skull, strong underjaw and good ears, straight forelegs but a tad weak in pasterns and feet could be tighter but taking into account his age, I have seen a lot worse on younger dogs! Excellent depth of chest and well shaped ribs with short loin and well angulated quarters, sound on the move and more settled than 3 PRYDDERCH Ch Droyale Mister Moo MPD (1,1) PD (2,) 1 and BPD, BPIB BROWN, BIBBY, COX, & THOMAS Dillon Aus Silkenwood a striking 9 mth b/g with a beautiful head and alert expression helped by good use of his ears, strong jaw and good dentition, he has a nice arch to his neck and is well angulated in front with a good length of upper arm, Ribs extend well back and he has ample depth of chest for his age, well muscled in the rear with plenty of angulation which helped him produce good rear drive and an excellent sidegait. Lots to appreciate here, so well handled to get the best of him and I was not surprised to hear he already has a RCC to his name. JD (1) 1 MORGAN Lornstone Sijur (see SBD) GD (2) 1 AMIS & STANLEY Droyales Present Verdandi, rising 2 this darker faced male has many qualities to be admired, he has a handsome head with well set ears and an alert expression, Strong neck into well laid shoulders, well boned forelegs and excellent feet, ribs extend well back but I would like him a fraction shorter in body. Muscular hindquarters and strong hocks allowed him to gait openly and freely around the ring. 2 CASSIDY and FARLEY, Nikonis Qatar a nice looking 2 yr sable who has a pleasing overall shape, I really liked his head and all watching alert expression, he is well made all through with good angulation in front and a decent length of upper arm with strong well angulated quarters, deep chest and moderate tuck giving a balanced picture, rather unsettled on the move today and a little close behind on the away. PGD (1) 1 BROWN, Windgunn's Zorro At Darveldown 21 mth b/t, medium in size and presenting a clean and balanced outline with good height to length ratios, lovely well proportioned head with almond eye and a bright expression, good length of neck into sloping shoulders, backline is firm and straight and held on the move, he is well muscled in the rear and gaited out soundly all ways, to be hypercritical there could be a little more of him all through but still much to like. LD (2) 1 NICHOLSON, Miss Sylvia Chapleforge Angus With Norwulf a well constructed male with handsome well proportioned head and strong jaw, strongly boned forelegs to firm pasterns and rounded feet, good shoulder placement and tidy elbows, well ribbed body with firm loin and shapely hindquarters but just hocks in a touch behind, on the move he covers the ground easily with plenty of extension in front. Presented in excellent coat. 2 GIBSON Droyales Forever Proper At Echosands sable dog quite pleasing overall but perhaps a shade long cast, good head properties with strong muzzle and correct bite, moderate length of neck into a good lay of shoulder, straight strongly boned forelegs and correct feet, however he threw away any chance of winning this class as he insisted on pacing. OD (3) 1 STEVENS Ch Windgunn's Blaze To Ashvens , so handsome and all male, this 3 yr old has so much to appreciate, cracking outline showing strength and balance, masculine well proportioned head with almond eye and strong wedge shaped muzzle with close fitting lips, ample length of neck flowing cleanly into withers and well placed shoulders . Strong oval bone and compact feet, deep chested but not heavy with ribs extending well back, not overlong in body with muscular hindquarters and strong straight hocks, producing such a powerful yet easy gait and covering the ground with soundness and accuracy. Presented in excellent coat and with a good level of fitness. No hesitation for the DCC today and in the challenge he just edged it for his overall condition. 2 and RDCC STEPHENS Ch Chalksville Made Of Magic For Brightmeadow JW anther lovely young male and one whose journey I have followed since I saw his as a pup, very similar in profile to the winner but maybe not quite as mature in head but of good proportions with dark well shaped eye and very good ears. Strong but elegant neck into well placed shoulders and standing on strong oval bone and compact feet, well proportioned body with depth to chest and slightly sprung ribs extending well back, strong firm topline flowing into a slightly sloping croup and excellent well furred tail, gaits out soundly lowering his head and holding his topline. 3 BIBBY, COX Albycox Von Shotaan GCD (0) SBB (1) 1 and BSB CAVE Ballynabola Naya At Casiann an attractive L/C who was well presented, no mistaking her sex as her head properties and expression are clearly feminine! Ample length of neck, straight forelegs but could be a little stronger in pasterns, good depth of chest and well ribbed body with a shapely underline, presented in good coat and condition and moved soundly although could have a fraction more drive. VB (1,1) MPB (3) A close decision between 1 and 2 1 KIRBY and KIRBY, Mr Roger Nikonis Smigle a smart sable girl sympathetically handled to get the best from her, feminine head traits with almond eye giving an intelligent expression and firm well set ears, she has ample bone for her size and stands on straight forelegs and good feet and is well angulated in front and behind, I would have preferred a slightly longer croup and she took her time to settle but once she did, she moved out soundly with ample front reach. 2 JOHNSON Nikonis Sinitta (bc1) a very attractive long coat, ultra feminine with a beautiful head and bright alert expression, when stood still I could see her outline and angles and she is very well proportioned, as with the winner she was a little unsettled and rather uncoordinated in front. 3 Browns Konatian Lady Zelda At Darveldown PB (1) 1 and BPB FORMANs Kastina Heart Of Lutetia 11mth b, a steady and sensible girl whose overall proportions were very pleasing and there is nothing overdone about her, looking nicely balanced on the stack with a good head shape, strong jaw and well placed ears. She is well angulated in the fore with ample bone and a good depth of chest for her age, not overlong in body with a firm backline and strong loin, very sound all ways with good reach and drive. Was pleased to award her BPB today but just lost out on expression to the handsome young male pup. JB (3,1) 1 TAYLOR Siskiva With Love, an attractive and clearly feminine girl, pleasing head proportions with expressive almond eye and enough strength to her jaw, she has a moderate length of neck flowing into well placed shouders and is well angulated in the rear. On the move she gaits out smoothly and easily. I preferred her shape and overall balance to that on 2 GREEN Boscahaus Friday Von Emyzgem rising 18 mths, this bi coloured girl is a little long in body for perfect balance, she has an attractive head and moderate length of neck, is well angulated in front with a good length of upper arm and firm level topline, croup is a little short but she has ample hind angulation and stands well behind on strong hocks, gaits well in profile but needs to tighten in front action. GB (1) 1 and RBCC Milhams Droyales One And Only At Shadowshack JW a lovely young girl from breeders whose stock I have often admired. Medium sized and well proportioned in both head and body , neck is clean and of fair length and her slightly sprung ribcage extends far enough back to a short loin creating almost perfect height to length ratios and she is well angulated fore and aft. Impressive on the move going smoothly around the ring and driving off strong hocks. She still needs to mature on a tad more but very nicely made and so sound and true on the move which should win her a fair share of green cards. PGB (0) LB (4) 1 FOLKSMAN Holly Windgunn's Phoenix a beautiful beautiful b/g girl who was outstanding on the move in the class and would have been a green card winner today had she not come back into the challenge unsound and disappointingly I had to disregard her when considering the higher awards. Whilst I would like a fraction more length of leg she is generally well balanced and of good proportions, Excellent head and so correct, lovely eye and expression and using her ears to advantage, moderate length of neck into well angulated shoulders and standing true in front on strong pasterns and good feet, well proportioned body with a good ribcage and firm topline to slightly sloping croup and well set tail, strong in hock which she used to produce good rear drive, her sound and ground covering movement won her this class. 2 NICHOLSON & KACZMARCYK Norwulf It Must Be Love feminine girl who was quite pleasing all through, strong and reachy neck but she could have a slightly better lay of shoulder, good depth of chest, well ribbed body with plenty of hind angulation and standing true behind on strong hocks and moving out well holding her shape with good front and rear extension, presented in fit and muscular condition. 3 CAVE Ballynabola Naya At Casiann OB (6,1) This was a really good class 1 and BCC Prydderch Ch Droyale Flower Power, a beautiful girl clean and balanced in outline with a proportionate head, dark eye and strong wedge muzzle with clean lip line, her neck which is of good length flows into a firm topline on to a short loin and slightly sloping croup, hindquarters are well angulated with strong parallel hocks and on the move she gaits out smoothly and soundly covering the ground with plenty of reach and drive, presented in dense coat of good texture but I would have liked a little more condition on her which was the deciding factor for BOB. Pleased to award her the CC today 2 Banks Lornstone Odebree a 3 yr b, very feminine in outlook with a well proportioned head and a lovely almond eye, strong jaw and good use of ears, muscular neck and shoulders with well boned forelegs and correct feet, body is well ribbed with depth to chest and hindquarters strong and well angulated. I considered her for the RCC but I thought she could have been a little cleaner and smoother in her action. 3 Formans Ch Kintaro Grace Kelly With Suzdans GCB )1) 1 Ballynabola Naya At Casiann Bridgette Bodle
