Crufts

I would like to thank the Crufts Committee and the Royal Kennel Club for inviting me to judge the Kerry Blue Terries at this prestigious show, also thanks to my stewards for looking after me. Overall, the quality of the dogs was very good.

PD (3) 1. Mr R Ramsay Torum’s El Nino, 8 months old, well-balanced dog, nice lean head, correct bite, dark eye, typical expression, straight in front and good quarters, deep chest for a puppy, good spring of rib, low hock and good overall shape. Movement was good with extension front and back. BP. 2. Mrs J O’Rourke Kebulak Silver Dollar, another smart overall balanced dog, correct bite, good lay-back of shoulder, strong hindquarters, another good coat, steady on the move.

JD (1) 1. Mr D White Clanciarrai North Blue. Well balanced, good head, good bite, straight in front, good spring of rib. Muscular hind quarters, excellent coat, movement needed to be steadier.

PGD (1) 1. Mrs T Leenderts Joalyn Royale Joey. Nice outline, balanced head, dark eye, strong forequarters, deep chest, muscular hind quarters, good coat and colour, movement steady

LD (2) 1. Mrs J O’Rourke Kebulak Royal Flush. Good overall shape, very nice head, excellent bite, good lay-back of shoulder, good spring of rib, muscular hind quarters, nice coat, needs more colour. Movement very good. RDCC. 2. Mr & Mrs G A Daly Left Back Ar, nice shaped dog, nice head, good front, well sprung rib, solid in hindquarters, preferred the movement of the winner.

OD (7:1a) 1. Ms C & Mr A Davani & Potts Ch Kebulak King of Swing Well balanced dog, good shape, stood well, balanced head. Excellent bite, good expression, well laid-back shoulder, nice straight front. Muscular body, well developed hind quarters, low hock. Good colour, good extension fronts and back when moving. DCC 2. Dr Ns Kunze Am Ch Cross the Rubicon Omen, another overall balanced dog, good head with dark eye, scissor bite, strong in forequarters, well sprung ribs, strong hindquarters, good coat and colour. Would have liked better movement.

VB (2) 1. Mrs Zara Kerries Int Ch Anra. 9-year-old, in good condition, well balanced, good eye and ears placement. Forequarters very good, nice depth of chest, muscular hind quarters, nice quarters, moved well. BV 2. Miss J E Jones Joalyn Sweet Melody.

8-year-old bitch, nice shape, good eye, good pigmentation, correct coat and colour. Well sprung ribs, muscular hind quarters, moved well.

PGB (7:1a) 1. Miss J E & Mrs M & Mr M Jones & Bradley & Bradley Joalyn Parsley Moon.

Very good overall balance, nice shaped head, good eye, well placed ears, scissor bite, nice forequarters, good spring of rib, well-muscled hind quarters, excellent coat soft and silky, good colour, strong drive on rear movement. 2. Miss J V Mcfadden Kebulak Velvet Rose at Kefoxini, Good balance and shape, good dark eye, scissor bite, good front, muscular in body, solid hindquarters, would like more colour in coat, moved well.

LB (3) 1. Mr K Prendergast Lakki Kerri Pride with Glory. Good shape overall, balanced outline, nice shaped head. With dark eye, and scissor bite. Good body shape, muscular hind quarters, good colour and coat, moved steadily. 2. Mr M Marley Lansmar Markievicz. Another nice shaped bitch, good overall balance, dark eye and correct ear carriage. Good front, well ribbed, solid hind quarters, good coat, and colour. Movement OK

OB (9) 1. Ms J & Mr P A Poulova & O´Brien Cze Ch Edbrios Tequila. This bitch was overall hard to fault in any aspect, showed herself off with confidence. Overall, a well-balanced bitch, beautiful head with dark eye and well-placed ears, correct scissor bite, strong in forequarters, good body well ribbed back, excellent hind quarters, low hock. Lovely coat and colour, excellent movement with good front and rear extension when moving. BCC & BOB Pleased to see this bitch getting Terrier Group 2. 2. Mr P & Mrs E B Martin Clanciarrai Blue Note. Another excellent bitch, good shape, nice dark eye, and correct placed ears, correct bite, strong in front. Good spring of rib, muscular rear end, good coat and colour, moved well, unlucky to meet the winner of the class.

GCDSB (3) 1. Miss J E Jones Joalyn Sweet Melody. 2. Miss R Bolton Rathasker in Chrysocolla. Nice bitch, would have preferred better overall balance, nice head, good bite, straight front, good lay-back of rib. Good coat, but would like more colour, needs to settle on the move.
