My first time awarding CC’s in Brittany’s, I had a super entry with some lovely dogs to go over, my thanks to the exhibitors for entering under me and for taking my decisions so sportingly. My Bitch CC and BEST OF BREED was YARROWs, Mr & Mrs Paul & Janette Sh Ch Bonapartist Truffle, Res Bitch CC went to her kennel mate and second in open YARROW,s Mr & Mrs Paul & Janette Sh Ch Bonapartist Odile. My Dog CC, also from the same kennel was GRAHAMs, Mrs Linda & YARROWs, Mrs Janette Sh Ch Bonapartist Pickpocket. My Res Dog CC was NICHOLLS, Mr & Mrs & Miss G Minama Unforgettable At Stonesview (ikc), I was told that his dam was litter sister to my BCC winner, so very much a family affair. My Best Veteran was COOKs, Miss F Sh Ch Highclare Only One Avec Tailliside (a.i.) JW and Best Special Beginner was JONES, Mr M & Mrs H Rochus Take Action

1st: 2317 JONES, Mr M & Mrs H Rochus Take Action

I liked his overall shape and balance. His head is well proportioned with well-set ears and super dark eyes which enhanced his expression. Clean in neck into well set shoulders standing on well boned legs and super feet. Short coupled and correct square outline. Quarters developing well with good angles. A little exuberant moving, needs to find his feet and a have a steady action.

1st: 2321 NICHOLLS, Mr & Mrs & Miss G Minama Unforgettable At Stonesview (ikc)

This young man scored in outline, he had the cleaner outline in the class. Good angles front and rear. Typical head and expression of correct proportions, ears well set on. Neck into shoulder is good and shoulders are well set. Decent depth of chest. Front well made with straight legs and neat feet. Good through the body, held his topline well, loin firm into well-developed quarters with moderate bend of stifle. Scored on movement in this class where he had the most accurate action. Pushed hard for top honours and on this form, they won’t be far away. Today my RCC winner.

2nd: 2318 MOLTON, Mr W.i. & MOLTON, Mrs E.P. Jayricnbrits Uther at Braebrits

Another dog will a lot to like about him, young boy who gave away a bit in maturity to the winner. I liked his head piece, very typical with a good overall shape and proportions; ears set on well, all giving a masculine expression. Well made in body, good angles front, and rear, I would like him tighter in elbow. Well made quarters. Moved out well in profile but was not as fluid at the winner today on the up and down which cost him the class.

3rd: 2313 GRAHAM, Mrs Linda & YARROW, Mrs Janette Bonapartist Thierry

1st: 2314 GRAHAM, Mrs Linda & YARROW, Mrs Janette Sh Ch Bonapartist Pickpocket

Well known dog who did not disappoint when I got my hands on him, he is very well made and of good proportions. Smart head piece, good proportions, dark eye and masculine expression. Clean in neck into well laid shoulders. Good depth of chest, elbows tight. Stands on well boned legs and good feet. Firm topline, ribs rounded and short in loin. Good back end on him, well-muscled. Moved out well to take the class and the DCC. In the BOB challenge he decided to drop his topline so lost out to the bitch, thank you for bringing him.

2nd: 2311 COOK, Miss F Sh Ch Highclare Only One Avec Tailliside (a.i.) JW

Judged this chap as a youngster and he did well under me then, pleased to see him here today as the finished article. I like his head, not overdone in any way and super eye with an attentive expression. Well-made neck of medium length set into well placed shoulders. Good depth of chest and elbows tight to body. Stands on well boned legs and has good tight feet. Topline correct, ribs rounded and a short loin. Well-made quarters with stifles moderately bent and good muscle. Did enough on the move to take his place and I could see the correct gate.

1st: 2316 JONES, Mr M & Mrs H Rochus Sweet Pea

Sibling to the SBD winner and very similar in make and shape. Head of good make and shape giving a feminine expression, clean neck, well assembled front, stands on straight well boned legs. Body well made, ribs rounded and quarters good. Was bunny hopping a lot today so needs to find her feet on the move to bring everything together but she will do that with a bit of practice.

1st: 2312 DIXON, Mr David Violette De Keranlouan (imp Fra) (bb3)

Young bitch, just 13 months, progressing in all the right directions. Her head is well made, good proportions and a feminine expression, should finish well. Well made in body for her age, good angulation front and rear. Moved out well for her age, excels in profile movement, needs to tighten up in front action to complete the picture.

1st: 2324 SOUTHORN, Mrs Karin Umika De La Riviere Ouareau (Imp) Fra

Nice type of bitch, head is of good proportions, moderate stop kind eye, all giving a feminine expression. Neck clean, well laid shoulders. Stands on well boned straight legs. Plenty of depth in forechest, elbows tight, good through the ribs, short loin and correct rear angulation. Good muscle tone. Move with the correct stride.

2nd: 2315 HOLT, Miss Ruth Rochus Starburst

Pretty girl, 4 years old with lots to like about her, just not quite as together on the move as the winner. Feminine in head and expression with a lovely dark eye. Clean neck in to well set shoulders, well boned straight legs and super feet. Moderate angles front and rear. Well made in body, good through the loin, stifles well bent.

1st: 2319 MOLTON, Mr W.i. & MOLTON, Mrs E.P. Jayricnbrits Unctious At Braebrits

Super type of bitch with a grand head and typical expression. She has good overall shape and size about her, neck clean in to well laid shoulders, stands on well boned legs and neat feet. Well made in body, rounded ribs, firm in loin. Good quarters, stifles well bent. Moved soundly and fluidly to take the class, should finish well.

2nd: 2308 ANDERSON, Mrs Barbara Ann & ANDERSON, Mr John Rochus Tina

I liked this bitch on the stack and she was very close up to winning the class, she was full of type. She has a lovely head piece on her which is well balanced and has good proportions. Good front assembly, shoulders well laid back and standing on well boned legs and feet. Well made through the body with ribs well sprung. Quarters are well made with stifles well bent. She moved well but didn’t quite match the winner on the final run round.

OB (4 Entries) Abs: 1 It was a really difficult decision between these two kennel mates, both top class and full of breed type.

1st: 2330 YARROW, Mr & Mrs Paul & Janette Sh Ch Bonapartist Truffle

This lady did her absolute best to throw the class away and give here handler a real hard time but for me she was exactly what I was looking for and she pulled it together just long enough for me to see what I was looking for. She presents a super shape on the stack, strongly built she retains all her femininity and is totally in balance. I thought her headpiece was super, typical expression, enhanced by a super dark eye. Clean in neck in to a well made front, good through the body with ribs well rounded, good length to loin and quarters well developed. When she decided to put her showing head on, she moved out well, typical action and held her shape well. I was pleased to give the class then the BCC and later BOB, I thought she was really top drawer.

2nd: 2329 YARROW, Mr & Mrs Paul & Janette Sh Ch Bonapartist Odile

This six year old lady did well under me last time I judged the breed. I like her overall shape and make up. Her head is really appealing, well made with the correct expression and a lovely dark eye. Clean in neck into a well assembled front with shoulders well set. Straight legs and super feet. Body of good proportions with ribs well rounded, slightly longer in loin than Truffle which made her look a little longer set. Quarters well developed without being overdone. Please to award her the RCC.

1st: 2325 TAYLOR, Mr K & GILL, Mrs Catherine Patouche Jais

A grand lady who is ten and a half, not that she believed it. A very typy bitch full of enthusiasm and spirit. Her head is well made, good proportions and a kind eye giving a feminine express. Good overall shape and outline, good angles front and rear, great condition. Move out well, just a bit unlucky to meet the veteran dog winner.
