JUDGE: ANTHONY ALLEN
I was thrilled to be invited to judge Weimaraner's at North of England Weimaraner Society. I would like to thank the officers and committee of the society for inviting me and the exhibitors for supporting me with such a high-quality entry. I absolutely loved this appointment; there were some quality dogs for me to go over and a super atmosphere with lots of applause for the winners. Special thanks to my two stewards who kept me on the straight and narrow during the day.
MINOR PUPPY DOG 2 entries
1ST GUNALT WINGMAN. BPD.
Nice type of youngster 7 month, clean in outline. Head and expression pleasing, clean reach of neck into well set shoulders. Stands on good legs and neat feet. Decent length of rib, short through the loin. Balanced angles both fore and aft. Still needs to find his feet on the move but with a bit of practice he should do that, and with a bit more confidence he should have a bright future ahead of him. Best Puppy Dog.
2ND WALLAROO BETELGEUSE
Another real baby, only six months and he was really not playing ball with his handler. At this age he is developing in all the right ways, the basics of construction are correct and his head is well proportioned. Quarters are well developed with well-turned stifles. He got into his stride for a few paces and what I would see was accurate.
PUPPY DOG 2 entries
1ST GUNALT THE MORNING AFTER
Head pleasing with plenty of work and should finish well. Good reach of neck and enough lay back of shoulder. Depth of chest is correct for his age, very short coupled at the moment giving him a square shape, firm in topline. Stifles well bent and well-made quarters. Scored in movement to take the class.
2ND GUNALT COCKTAILS AND DREAMS
Upstanding dog, I wouldn’t want any more of him for my taste. Head masculine with good proportions, neck clean into good well-set shoulders, stands on good straight legs and neat feet. Good through the body with ribs as they should be at this age. Quarters well made; stifles moderately bent. Needs to settle on the move, once he does, he should do well.

1ST KALIMOR WASHINGTON AT ROBRICCI JW
I thought this a smart chap, two years old, masculine in head and expression, good reach of neck into a correct lay back of shoulder and good return of forearm. Good body proportions, ribs sprung and well back to a firm loin, good quarters with defined muscle. Stands on good legs and feet, correct on the move with a true ground covering action. On the last run round he really strode out which gave him the class. I am sure if he carries on in the vein he will title.
2ND SIREVA RAMBLER (AI)
This gent has a typical head and eye giving and intelligent expression. Lovely reach of neck leading to well-placed shoulders, good body proportions with ribs well back and firm in loin. Developed quarters and good bend to his stifles. Decent action on the move, just not the reach or fluidity of the winner.
3RD WALLAROO ROMEO JW
OPEN DOG 6 entries 1 abs
1ST SH CH GUNALT THE HANGOVER JW. CC. BIS.
An outstanding male who commanded attention the moment he entered the ring. Presents a classic outline, aristocratic, balanced and strongly built without coarseness. Saw this dog as a puppy and though he looked smart from the ringside; he has taken time to mature up into this super dog. He has a masculine and balanced head with the correct amount of width to his skull and length and breadth to his muzzle, wide nostrils and good finish to foreface. Powerful neck of correct length, leading to well set shoulders and a good return of upper arm. Deep through fore chest and straight front, ribs well back and sprung and correct length of loin which is strong. Quarters well developed and correct turn of stifle, tail well set. Today he moved with purpose and drive, footfall was the most accurate and ground covering in the class, which was full of quality. No hesitation in awarding him the Dog CC and later Best in Show
2ND SH CH GUNALT SCHWEPPES AT CALEYDENE JW. RCC.
What a super gentleman this boy is, masculine head with an intelligent expression. Good reach of neck and shoulders well back with desired return of forearm. Firm in topline and body of correct proportions, well set tail and good finish to the croup. Well angulated quarters and which were used to advantage on the move, which gave him this place and later the RCC.
3RD CH SIREVA EMEYEFIVE JW SGWC
SPECIAL BEGINNERS DOG 2 entries
1ST WALLAROO ROMEO JW. BSBIS.
Won the class on his balance and size. Pleasing head and expression, good reach of neck and enough lay back of shoulder. Ribs sprung and well back to a firm loin, good quarters with defined muscle. Stands on good legs and feet, correct on the move with a true ground covering action.
2ND Meinweg Autumnal Frost Aw(s)
Pleasing in head and expression, wouldn’t want it any stronger, good reach of neck and front assembly. Well-developed fore chest for his age and good through the rib and loin. Balanced angles front a rear, in hard condition. Moved well covering the ground but was not as accurate in footfall as the winner.
SPECIAL WORKING DOG 1 entry
1ST MEINWEG AUTUMNAL FROST AW(S)
MINOR PUPPY BITCH 3 entries
1ST RIVERTONE WICKED FOR SHARNPHILLY. RCC. BPB. BPIS.
A most promising youngster, full of quality and type. Presents a balanced, clean outline with correct proportions for age and already showing the aristocratic elegance typical of the breed. Attractive head with well-proportioned skull and foreface, moderate stop and kind, alert expression. Ears well set and carried. Super shape and type to this young lady, good reach of neck and correct angulation for her age. Level topline and good through the rib and loin, correct amount of bone and substance, stood on good legs and feet. Moved true and steady to win the class. Best Puppy Bitch, Best Puppy and later won a hard fought RCC against some quality ladies. Will follow her career with interest and I think she will have a bright future ahead of her.
2ND WALLAROO RED DWARF
Six months, feminine with the correct amount of substance. Pleasing head and lovely expression and eye. Super reach of neck and clean through the shoulders, good depth of fore chest and spring of rib for her age. Balanced angles both fore and aft and good bone and substance, not as together on the move as the winner but in time should finish very nicely.

2ND ENJAGER ELEGANCE FOR BROWNBANK JW
I liked this lady a lot, everything in the right place. She pushed the winner all the way. She has a super outline on her which she held throughout, head feminine with a pleasing expression. Good angles front and rear, shoulders well set, would like a shade more return of upper arm. Body well made, ribs well sprung and firm in loin. Good level topline, quarters well developed with a good bend of stifle. Movement was accurate and flowing just not as tidy as Wicked today.
JUNIOR BITCH 2 entries
1st SIREVA MAZE
A most promising youngster, full of quality and type. Presents a balanced, clean outline with correct proportions for age and already showing the aristocratic elegance typical of the breed. Attractive head with well-proportioned skull and foreface, moderate stop and kind, alert expression. Ears well set and carried. Neck of good length, flowing into well-laid shoulders and level topline. Chest developing nicely with sufficient depth to elbow and good ribbing for age. Strong loin and correctly finished croup. Hindquarters well-angled and muscular, promising plenty of drive as she matures.
2nd GUNALT GIFT OF THE GAB JW
Another lovely lady out of a classic mould and maintaining all the essentials. Feminine in head and expression, of good proportions. Clean in outline, super reach of neck, level topline and good finish to croup. Not quite the front angulation of the winner, a tad short in upper arm. Depth and strength to her body. In hard condition, did not like the surface and was not as fluid on the move as the winner today which was a shame.
YEARLING BITCH 1 entry
1st WEIPOWA WILD FLUSH FOR ASHSTERN
Clean in outline and showing balance and style, pleasing head and expression, lovely clean neck and well-placed shoulders and good return of forearm. Well bodied with ribs sprung and well back, good quarters and bend of stifle, would like a better croup. Moves out well but needs to settle in front action.

1st HOLLIESEAST CHANEL CHIC JW
Very smart bitch with a feminine head with the correct balance and with a soft yet intelligent expression, clean and balanced throughout. Powerful reach of neck, good lay back of shoulder and the correct return of upper arm. Depth to fore chest and ribs sprung and well back leading to a firm loin which meant she held her topline throughout and finished by a correctly set and carried tail. Quarters were well developed and used to advantage on the move; footfall was good.
2nd GAMEPOINT ZOOM BY HANTZBURG
As with the winner very balanced and clean in outline, head pleasing with a feminine expression. Clean neck into shoulders, which have good placement, would have just liked a little more return of upper arm. Body of correct proportions with ribs well sprung and a firm loin, carrying a tad extra weight today. Good quarters on her, stifles well bent. Moved out well but not quite the front extension of Chanel Chic, which was the deciding factor.
3rd TATZE LUNACY
LIMIT BITCH 6 entries 3 abs
1st RIVERTONE INEVITABLE AT JONEVA
She presented a clean and elegant outline. She has a balanced feminine head, lovely reach of neck leading to well-placed shoulders and correct return of upper arm. Body of good overall proportion with correct spring of rib. Firm through the loin and powerful in her quarters. In the class on the move, she had a positive driving action which gave her the class in very tough competition. Close up in the challenge for top honours but just didn’t perform when she needed to today, I don’t think top honours will be far away.
2nd GUNALT FREQUENCY BY HANTU (AI) JW
Super outline and balance. As with the winner she has a lovely typical aristocratic head and expression. Long clean neck in to well set shoulders and a good return of upper arm. Stands on good straight legs, with compact feet. Level in topline, good depth of chest, ribs well sprung and a firm loin. Quarters well-made, stifle well bent with the right amount of angulation. Moved out well with an effortless driving action.
3rd KALIMOR NANCY AT ROBRICCI JW
OPEN BITCH 4 entries 1abs
1ST SH CH GUNALT WAVELENGTH JW ShCEx OSW. CC. RBIS. BOS.
On the first move around the ring, she had a certain style and elegance that kept grabbing my attention. She has the most lovely head piece, correct in length to breadth ratio, and an expression that is hard to resist. Neck of good length and strength, super lay back of shoulder with the correct return of upper arm giving her super forward extension on the move. Chest is deep and ribs are well sprung and back with a firm loin of correct length and slight tuck up, quarters were well developed and had the correct amount of angulation to give her a balanced and open side gait. Going and coming she was true and straight, a pleasure to judge and had no hesitation in awarding her the Bitch CC.
2ND KALIMOR DOTTIE JW
This lady was so close up to taking the top spot, have done her well as a youngster and was pleased to see her here today as the finished article. I loved her outline and balance. As with the winner she has a lovely typical aristocratic head and expression. Long clean neck in to well set shoulders and a good return of upper arm. Stands of good straight legs, with compact feet. Level in topline, good depth of chest, ribs well sprung and a firm loin. Quarters well-made, stifles well bent with the right amount of angulation. Moved out well with an effortless driving action. Close up for the RCC.
3RD SH CH SHARNPHILLY ANNIE MAC JW
VETERAN BITCH 1 entry
1ST SH CH GUNALT WONDROUS OF STRIDVIEW (AI) JW. BVIS.
What a pleasing lady, I liked her head and expression, clean through neck and shoulders, with the correct return of upper arm, standing on the best of legs and feet. Ribs sprung and well back and firm through the loin. Topline held throughout and good finish to croup and correct tail set and carriage. Firm quarters gave her the power to drive around the ring with ease.
SPECIAL LONG HAIRED BITCH 2 entries
1ST TATZE BEWITCHED BY THRIHYRNE. BLHIS.
I remember this lady from last time I judged, and it was lovely to see her again as a veteran. I liked her head and expression, clean through neck and shoulders, with the correct return of upper arm, standing on the best of legs and feet. Ribs sprung and well back and firm through the loin. Topline held throughout and good finish to croup and correct tail set and carriage. Firm quarters gave her the power to drive around the ring with ease. Unfortunately, tired in the runoff for best veteran.
2ND TATZE LUNACY
Lovely longhair bitch. Head is pleasing and developing in the right direction, well-proportioned with feminine expression. She has a good overall shape and a pleasing outline showing correct balance. Good neck and body properties would like her tidier in elbow, quarters have enough angulation. On the move she could not match the accuracy of the winner.
