I was delighted to receive the invitation to judge at this well run show & thank the exhibitors for their entries & for bringing their dogs under me. Supported by two very efficient and friendly stewards made for a very pleasant day even though it was so very hot with wasps buzzing around. Another day & different conditions could possibly see some slightly different awards being given but I thank the exhibitors for being so sporting here today. 

I found teeth in the majority to be well developed with complimenting strong jaws, the same applying for ear set & eye shape. Most necks were of good length & strength with a good flow into well angulated forequarters. Good toplines, ribbing, loins & underlines were again in the majority flowing into good length of croups & correctly angled upper & lower thighs with muscling and most stood on good feet.

1st: 3194 SMALL, Miss Karis Jade Marvale Sparrowhawk For Devondax – smart young male with nicely proportioned head planes, good eye & ear shape but they could be set very slightly higher. Good length of neck into well angled forequarters, elbows well set under & good height to length proportions with good clearance. Topline yet to firm up but good rear set angles & moved out the best here.

2nd: 3189 ROBERTSON, Mr T & Mrs G Marvale Cuckoo At Ravenwood – slightly more immature young pup & not so settled here. Nice head planes, eye shape & ear shape & set good, good neck flowing into well angled front, elbows under with clearance but topline & rear end need to firm up more & settle with maturity.

Class 1621 PD (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 3159 BULLIS, Mrs A J Amaffrey Sirius Black – smart overall picture to this pup who just needs to settle into his rear movement a bit more. Nice head & eye shape, ears well set with good length of neck flowing into a well laid shoulder with correct return of upper arm, elbows set under. Height to length proportions good with nice clearance under, firm topline, good loin, into curvy rear quarters with lovely muscle tone. BPD

1st: 3181 HUGHES, Mrs Paula Lindella's Brundi Black – won this class on overall body proportions & movement. Nice in head, eye & ears but would prefer a slightly cleaner neck flowing into a well laid shoulder with elbows well set under. Height to length proportions good with clearance into curvy & well set rear quarters.

2nd: 3167 EYRE-BROOK, Dr Martina / Mylforbe The Bishop At Gentlegorse – good head proportions, eye shape & ear set, OK in neck into nicely laid shoulder but would prefer a touch more upper arm length. Sufficient height to length proportions would like to see slightly more clearance, nicely angled rear quarters.

1st: 3154 BAND, Mr Stuart & MCCARTHY, Ms Cindy Carpaccio Red Alert For Essandsee -    smart male with lovely head planes, eye & ear shape & set, a good length & strength of neck into a well laid shoulder with return of upper arm. Elbows set under and well proportioned height to length with sufficient ground clearance. Curvy well set rear quarters, good in croup, nicely muscled rear which he used well on the move.

1st: 3198 WILLIAMS, Mrs R & MOES, Mr C J Ch Cwmdarhian Joe Calzghe – such a smart male with lovely head planes, good jaw, a good shaped eye & well set ears. Good length to his neck flowing into correctly laid forequarters & correct set to elbows. Good height to body length proportions, well ribbed back, firm topline & loin & nice for ground clearance. Good set to rear quarters with muscle & moved out well fore & aft to take this class & the DCC.

2nd: 3184 O'CONNELL, Mr Richard & O'CONNELL, Mrs Aimee Ch Rijobeau Rumours With Llennocor JW – another smart male who pushed the 1st very hard & strongly considered for the RCC. With lovely head planes, good eye shape & ear set, good in neck flowing into a well angled front & correctly set elbows under. Overall body proportions were good, firm in topline, well ribbed back & lovely curvy set to the rear, moved out well.

3rd: 3195 STRANGE, Mrs & Mr C & P Bronia's Armand At Cazdachs

1st: 3164 ERGIS, Mrs S Ch Siouxline Jacob JW – This veteran took my eye for his overall proportions & soundness on the day. Lovely head planes, good jaw & eye shape & set of ears all flowing into a good length of neck. Correctly set front quarters with well placed elbows, good height to length proportions & with good ground clearance. Firm in topline, good loin, well ribbed back, into well set rear quarters with muscle, moved out well & delighted to award him the RDCC, BVD & BVIB.

Class 1627 SBD/B (4 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 3156 BOSWORTH, Mrs Louise Bronia Solange At Louromi – not the easiest of classes, this young bitch won on her overall body proportions and movement today. Good for head planes, eye shape & ear set, neck flowing into well angled forequarters, nicely ribbed back. plenty of clearance & body length which just needs to tighten a wee bit more. Needs to settle into her angled rear quarters a little more now. BSB.

2nd: 3183 LEGG, Mrs S, Cazdachs Take It Easy – good in head planes, eye shape & ear set and good length neck into good front quarters but prefer the elbows a little more set under. Topline & underline could be a touch cleaner, good height to length ratios and clearance but would prefer a more robust rear quarter.

3rd: 3163 CASEY, Mrs Louise Coots Canis Star At Eversden

Class 1628 VB (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 3190 ROSE, Mrs B J Pennydach Mystique At Rosencrantz – smart in head, good eye shape & ear set, clean neck into well angled front quarters, elbows set under but would prefer slightly more curve to underline. Topline & loin firm, ribbed backed, and of good height to length proportions. Croup of sufficient length & moved out well. BVB

2nd: 3173 HALSALL, Mrs J Grews Iridessa For Kiddles – many of the above comments apply to this veteran bitch but found that she was just a wee bit untidy on the move & just lacking the overall condition of the first a little. Overall body proportions were good as was her angulation to the fore quarters, well ribbed back.

1st: 3193 SMALL, Miss Karis Jade Marvale Golden Oriole For Devondax – smart baby puppy with lovely head planes, eye shape & set of ears. Good in neck and well angled forequarters, elbows set under and body of good length, well ribbed back. Good height to length proportions, with clearance, and just needs to now settle into her frame more over her rear quarters.

1st: 3166 ERGIS, Mrs S Siouxline Elsa Marie – Such a lovely, smart puppy bitch who moved around the ring using her front & rear well. Lovely overall proportions for height & length and good clearance. Lovely head planes, good jaw and good eye shape & ear set. Lovely clean neck flowing into super front quarters, elbows set under, well ribbed back, good loin, clean lines to topline & underline into well shaped rear quarters. In lovely condition. BPB, BPIB, RBCC & HGP2.

2nd: 3156 BOSWORTH, Mrs Louise Bronia Solange At Louromi – 1st in SBD/B.

1st: 3188 ROBERTSON, Mr T & Mrs G Ravenwood Bootylicious – good head & jaw, nicely shaped eye & well set ears. Clean neck flowing into a nicely constructed front, elbows set under, well ribbed back, firm topline & loin, good underline and overall proportions. Well set rear quarters but slightly reluctant at times spoiling her outline occasionally, moved out well enough.

2nd: 3177 HERALD, Mrs R & Miss S J Winterfield Whiskey Maude – smart outline on this bitch but slightly untidy moving today. Good in head, eye & ear set. Neck flowing into nice forequarters, firm topline & loin, good underline with clearance flowing into correctly set rear quarters.

3rd: 3161 BULLIS, Mrs A J Amaffrey Luna Lovgood

Class 1632 PGB (8 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 3187 ROBERTSON, Mr T & Mrs G Marvale Comanche At Ravenwood – lovely head & jaw, good shaped eye & ear set, clean neck into correctly placed fore quarters with elbows under. Topline & loin firm and of good length, a shade loose in underline, but overall proportions of body good. Moved out the best in this class today.

2nd: 3176 HERALD, Mrs R & Miss S J Winterfield Lady In Red JW – another with lovely head planes, good shape eye & ear set. Good length neck, clean forequarters with good angles, firm in topline & length of loin, underline to tighten a touch and good rear quarters. Overall good body proportions.

3rd: 3179 HUGHES, Mrs Paula Lindella's Suzie Cute

1st: 3191 SMALL, Miss Karis Jade Glynlythe's Heirloom For Devondax JW – two smart bitches headed this class. This girl has a lovely head & eye shape, nicely set ears and a long, clean neck. Correctly proportioned fore quarters, elbows under and a firm topline with good loin. Overall height to depth ratios good, plenty of clearance and well ribbed. Lovely rear quarters & took the 1st on cleaner movement here.

2nd: 3155 BEER, Mrs N J M & MOES, Mr C & WILLIAMS, Mrs R Gellijams Fireworks At Cwmdarhian – another with lovely head planes, good jaw, eye shape & well set ears. Firm neck into correctly angled fore quarters with elbows set well under. Good in topline & loin, well ribbed back with sufficient ground clearance. Lovely set to rear quarters with good conditioning & overall proportions.

1st: 3182 HUNT, Mr Jason E Mylforbe Red Velvet At Sunara – a smart, unassuming bitch who really brought it all together for me especially when she moved effortlessly around the ring. Lovely head planes with slight arch over the skull, good in jaw, lovely shape to eye & good ear set. Clean length of neck flowing into correctly angled fore quarters, correctly set elbows, firm topline & loin, good ribbing with clean underline. Lovely set to croup and correctly proportioned rear quarters with muscling & good tail set. Good for overall body ratios and good clearance. Delighted to award her the BCC, her 3rd I hear, and later BOB.

2nd: 3165 ERGIS, Mrs S Siouxline Mary Rose JW – another lovely bitch where many of the above comments can apply but just preferred the overall picture of 1st and felt that this bitch was carrying just a wee bit more condition slightly spoiling her underline here. But another with good head planes, eye shape & ear set, lovely clean neck into correctly angled front, elbows under, well ribbed back & firm topline into well set rear quarters. Good for height to length & moved out well.
