I love judging this breed many thanks to Exhibitors too, as I was a replacement Judge. Lots of quality on display today from consistent Breeders often just minor details that on another day could easily change places. Very pleased indeed to see all my choices placed or shortlisted in the Groups Later on. Exhibits were presented in clean, well-groomed and with kind gentle handling. Lovely to see being shown on loose leads, as this allows the head to lower as pace increases giving a more streamlined and energy efficient balanced gait as should be in a working mode. Looking at my placings, previously have given awards to sires and dams that have gone on to be producers in consistent type. See today, DCC is Sire to BCC. Plus numerous other related connections within placings also I like to see a variation in markings especially in blazes and necks.

1ST 8433 - Smart As A Whip Danger Zone at Tambuzi (Imp Esp) (Dr A J Oliver) 7 mths Bl/W Lovely size bone make and shape on the stand, head and muzzle developing well for ratios with good bite. Eye is dark and expressive alert ears. Good front assembly, chest coming on well, loins are firm, nice bend of stifles and hocks. Moved well all ways. Should do well and have a bright future.

2ND 8454 - Bordabears Move to The Music (Mrs S & Mrs K Wells & Mitchell) 8 mths. Another well boned lad making a good shape. Skull developing well good bite. Eye just a tad rounder at this stage as still teething so will change. Good body and muscles forming moved out steady and balanced

3RD 8431 - Tyrox Wyatt (Mrs J O'brien) 8 mths

1ST 8384 - Hysteps Come by (Ms S P & Miss K Austin & Zolakova) 11 mths Well made for bone size and shape. Nice skull and muzzle with good dentition good ear set and usage. Nice reach of neck and good front assembly with depth to brisket stands on good feet. Firm loins and good croup giving low tail carriage moved out fluidly with balance covering ground.

2ND 8403 - Kanamaren I Have The Touch (Mrs D & Mr M C Hadden) 11 mths Finer boned and longer cast in length to back and loins. Nice head proportions and dark eye. Needs to strengthen through in muscle tone as weak in pastern would prefer tighter feet for me.

1ST 8409 - Art of Blossom Drowned in Emotion Into Borderbrook JW (Imp Esp) (Ms A Kempton) 16 mths Bl/W Well boned for size and shape on the stand. Skull broad ear set a shade wide but used alertly. Dark eye with good pigment and bite. Ample reach of neck and front assembly, depth to brisket. Body firm in muscle tone moved out steadily with positive ground cover.

1ST 8389 - Amkamel Half Blood Prince JW (Mrs J Buckley) 2 ½ yrs. Bl/W Head and skull ratios good and stop, eye dark, nice taper to muzzle and bite. Ample neck and front assembly, and depth to brisket. Shorter in loins than 2, nice croup and tail length moved out steady all ways.

2ND 8437 - Roydenbark Meet Joe Black at Baywern (Miss J Prandle) 2 ½ yrs. BL/W Ok in head ratios. Alertly using ears. Ample neck, like firmer muscle tone especially loins as longer than 1 throughout ok in bend of stifles. Moved out steadily needed more positivity for me.

1ST 8414 - Fayken I Am Soul JW (Mrs S & Mr R K Lee & Green) 2 ½ yrs. Bl/W Masculine outline on the stand. Lovely skull width and ear set and usage, correct stop, and muzzle taper with good bite, eye oval and dark, dentition set square. Neck is strong into well laid front assembly, depth to brisket and good elbow fit firm loins, nice bend of stifle and muscled thighs neat hocks. Moving was effortless and balanced with lovely lowered head carriage and fluid lines.

2ND 8421 - Simmovon Charm Writer at Spotarton JW (Mrs J & Mr P Longhurst) 22 mths. Another well boned and put together lad. Broad skull correct top and muzzle taper, eye just a little lighter than 1, Good length to neck and nice lay to shoulders. Chest has depth, firm loins just a shade longer in back here. Nice muscling all through another able to cover the ground with positive ease and balance. Sure these will change places many times.

1ST 8418 - Sh Ch Arrodare True Legend (Miss B & Miss J Lee & Ratcliffe) 5 yrs. Bl/W Masculine and smooth in outline on the stand. Lovely broad skull, defined stop and taper of muzzle with correct dentition. Eyes oval and dark giving gentle expression and attentive ear usage. Neck has slight arch and fits into well laid shoulders and good elbow fit to brisket, ribbing well sprung, firm short loins and nice slope to croup giving good tail set. Thighs are muscled and stands on neat hocks and good feet. Moving was a fluid balanced, efficient and ergomomic gait with lovely lowering to head carriage in a working mode. RDCC

2ND 8382 - Sh Ch Thwaitlake Buzzman (Mr, Mrs & Miss Akester & Wiltshire) 4 ½ yrs. Another super Masculine lad I’ve given a CC to. Just very slightly heavier boned than 1. Super ratios to head and muzzle defined in stop and dark eye. Lovely neck and front shoulder assembly giving good forward reach, muscled through firm loins and thigh stands on neat low set hocks and tight feet. Handler moves him at correct pace getting a fluid ground covering action.

3RD 8399 - Sh Ch Fayken Truth or Dare with Arrodare JW (Mr R K & Miss J Green & Ratcliffe) Sire to JB Another outstanding quality all through male, these three could and will change places many times.

1ST 8443 - Sh Ch Arrodare It's Now or Never JW (Mr N & Miss J Smith & Ratcliffe) DCC BV and Later Veteran Group 3. 11 ¾ yrs. Judged this outstanding male before and then had him down in my top 3 or 4 from the line up for Top honours but didn’t settle to be fluid in the challenge . Today was a totally different story and meant business, he came he saw and conquered, he was so masculine and proud on the stand. Skull is broad with good ear set, defined in stop and lovely taper to muzzle. Lovely dark oval eye. Neck has strength and slight arching fitting into well laid shoulder, chest is deep and well sprung in ribbing, and good elbow fit stands on straight front legs good feet and pasterns. Top line is firm loins are deep and broad, thighs defined and neat low set hocks. Sweep to croup gives lovely tail set and carriage. Outstanding correct Border Collie movement as it should be, graceful, fluid effortless and ergonomic tireless ground cover. Gave me goose bumps could watch all day. Pleased to award DCC to a very gobsmacked owner, well done later on but not surprised either.

2ND 8440 - Sh Ch Chikaramor Cast A Spell of Glenfound (Miss K & Mrs S Rettie & Morley) 7 yrs.Tri Another masculine made lad on the stand. Lovely proportions to head and muzzle and markings with pricked ears. Neck has ample length and good front assembly and depth to brisket, Stand on straight front legs id like firmer pasterns and tighter feet. Nice bend to stifles and tidy hocks. Covered the ground well from all angles.

2ND 8411 - Borderbrook Final Destiny (Ms A Kempton) 8 ½ mths Similar size make and shape to 1. A Shade steeper in croup at this stage. Nice head ratios and eye and ear set. Chest developing well for age. Moving showed a steady gait covering the ground.

8* in the Group Well Done 11 ½ mths. Feminine shape on the stand with nice bone. Broad skull and good ear set and usage, lovely stop and muzzle shape and dentition. Neck slight arch and good lay to shoulders and chest depth firm loins and muscling to thigh neat hocks moves well with forward reach and drive of neat hocks keeping her outline.

Nice skull and definition to stop alertly using ears and dark expressive eye. Muzzle has nice taper and set square teeth. Nice length to neck with lovely lay to shoulder Depth to chest and ideal sprig of rib. Firm broad loins and muscling to thighs stands on neat hocks and good feet, smooth sweep to croup to give good tail set and carriage. Moved at correct pace by handler showing a fluid effortless drive and ground cover keeping her outline.

2ND 8419 - Tonkory Spring in Your Step among Windwalker (Mrs P & Mr K Leslie) 14 mths Another promising bitch a little more finer and narrower at this stage needs to come together lots to like with good overall head, neck and front just needs to strengthen in hocks for me .

1ST 8451 - Simmovon Reason Too Dream JW (Ms Y Welch) 23 mths Bl/W Lovely boned size make and shape on the stand. Super head proportions with defined stop clean cheeks and muzzle taper, with good bite. Nice oval eye and good pigment. Graceful neck and well laid shoulders. Stands on straight front legs good pasterns and feet. Top line is firm with broad loins nice bend to stifle and low set hocks which she drives off with power and good reach in front covers the ground smoothly.

2ND 8392 - Laceway Bottom’s Up (Miss H Fawcett) 21 mths Lovely feminine outline with lovely boned for size and shape. Super head proportions, dark oval expressive eye. Lovely strength to muzzle with set square teeth. Neck fits into good front and ribbing has depth, firm body and thigh muscles on neat lock set hocks. Moves so fluid and balanced sure will change place with 1 many times.

Defined stop with correct oval dark expressive gentle eye, muzzle has depth and gently taper with strong jaws and set square bite. Graceful neck, needs to be felt to be appreciated. Best lay of shoulder with balance front angles. Chest has good depth and spring to ribbing, broad firm loins. Nice bend to stifles with well-defined thigh muscles and neat tidy low set hocks. Comes into her own on the move low forward reach and strong drive of hocks with a lowered head carriage giving a more streamlined fluid working action. Loved her. Will make up easily. Pleased to award RBCC.

2ND 8415 - Arrodare Rebel with A Cause JW (Miss B & Miss J Lee & Ratcliffe) 4 ½ yrs. Same sire as 1 Many similar qualities apply her. Lovely feminine outline ideal bone for size and shape. Lovely head proportions and stop just a tad rounder in in eye shape. Angles and lay to shoulders. Depth to chest with spring of ribs, loins broad and firm, defined thighs and neat hocks another quality mover and sure will make up easily too.

1ST 8398 - Sh Ch Fayken I Am Love JW (Mr R K & Miss J Green & Ratcliffe) 9 yrs. BCC BOB later Shortlisted to Last *8* in Group Well Done. Sired by DCC Silhouette oozes quality and breed type for size make and shape with femininity yet with substance and graceful lines. Broad skull with correctly set ears, which is proportionately half the muzzle length in ratios. Distinct in stop and with oval dark widely set eyes. The taper on her muzzle allows for set square bite. Graceful arch to neck into well laid shoulders and correct front angles. Chest is deep with good spring of rib and elbows fit accordingly. Top line is firm, broad deep loins and lovely sweep to croup and tail set. Thighs are defined with lovely bend to stifles standing on neat low set hocks and some of the best feet. Effortless, smooth balanced, lowered head carriage and driving rear action and covers the ground so ergonomically and true to being “Fit for Function” Love her. BCC BOB. She too is a Veteran not that you would know it. Well done.

2ND 8394 - Sh Ch Laceway Raise The Roof (Miss H Fawcett) Another super feminine outline with ideal substance and muscling. Super proportions to skull and muzzle. Lovely stop expressive gentle eye. Good strong jaws with set square bite. Graceful neck and fit to lovely front assembly. Deep ribbing firm loins and nice bend to stifles firm neat low hocks. Moves out with such purpose and positivity and ground cover keeping her beautiful shape ably assisted by a quality handler that can move with her.

3RD 8400 - Sh Ch Arrodare Beautiful Trauma (Miss C N & Miss J & Mr R K Green & Ratcliffe & Green) Sired by CC and dam to RBCC Winner Another superb quality bitch and producer from this kennel.

Lovely balance and ratios to head and muzzle, eye medium brown with good oval shape. Neck has good length and nice lay to shoulders. Depth to brisket and width to chest. Stands on good feet. Top line is firm with nice sweep to croup and good tails set. Her well-muscled thighs power her round the ring with such purpose in a workmanlike fashion whilst retaining balance and shape.

2ND 8416 - Sh Ch Arrodare Royal Flush JW (Miss B & Miss J Lee & Ratcliffe) Blue/White Given her dam a RCC previously. Notes say awaiting new jacket. Very feminine in her outline with absolutely nothing to hide. Good depth to width to chest. Straight front legs on good fee. Top line firm nice bend to stifles and tidy hocks. On the move she is built to do the job covering the ground easily shame on the wardrobe malfunction. But Coat comes and Goes conformation doesn’t.

2ND 8387 - Borderbrook Princess Raya at Ravencrag JW (Mrs H Bligh) BL/W Another with ample bone for size and shape. Lovely head proportions, and eye shape. Depth to Ribbing and nice bend to stifles. Moved out well with good ground cover.
