Special Award Junior Dog or Bitch (5,2)

1. Blaber’s Oakmarsh Laurel

16mo bitch who presents a clean and balanced outline. Broad skull, but still clearly feminine. Eyes correctly set with colour complementary to coat, with an engaging expression. Good length to neck, leading onto well laid shoulders. Moderate angulation front and rear. Smooth, effortless movement around with ring with accurate footfall. Nothing overdone and a very honest bitch.

2. Herring’s Battsrock Smoke On The Water

6mo darker brown dog. Good head and correct eye shape and colour. Ears a little on the larger side at this age. Well proportioned and ample bone. Excellent & balanced angulation. Stand on strong, tight feet. A little loose on the move but should tighten up naturally with age.

3. Watts, Mellersh-Tett & Mellersh-Tett’s Oakmarsh Land Of Promise

16mo bitch and littermate to 1. Very happy disposition and very much liked her head shape. Another very clean outline, but a little out of proportion at present as appears a little longer in the leg than I would like. Strong back and maintained her topline well on the move.

Special Award Post Graduate Dog or Bitch (9,3)

1. Poulton’s Passione Knightspool

3yo dog with the best overall balance in the class. Good, strong head and muzzle of good depth. Strong, well-muscled neck. Moderate angulation. Ribs well sprung and has good width across the loin. Very well-conditioned behind and shown in excellent coat. Would like a little more reach on the move, but despite this still displayed plenty of powerful drive.

2. Turner’s Oakmarsh Haunting Melody (AI)

5yo bitch with a pleasing head. Stands on tight, strong feet and has good substance. Excellent width to second thigh and displayed good drive. Carries tail correctly on the move and held her topline well. Shown in good coat condition.

3. Murray’s Muireatai Teris Love

3yo dog with very happy and confident temperament. Strong, masculine head. Excellent bone and substance. Balanced moderate angulation. Stands on tight, strong feet and had plenty of drive on the move. Would have liked to have placed him higher, but tail carriage a little too proud for me.

Special Awards Open Dog or Bitch (5,0)

1. Broomfield’s Glaneils Count On Me

5yo dog with nothing exaggerated or overdone. Broad and well-proportioned head with strong muzzle and well-placed ears. Neck strong and of good length, leading onto well laid shoulder and strong back with correct gentle rise over the loin. Presented a very balanced and clean outline and handled to advantage. I see now that he had been awarded the rCC earlier in the day and BIS in the afternoon. Very well deserved!

2. Musselwhite’s Puntgunner Ebbing Tide

6yo dog a little heavy in the head for me. Very biddable and calm temperament. Possesses excellent bone and substance and exudes strength. Strong, well muscled neck, well laid shoulder and deep, well sprung ribs. Would prefer a little less breadth across the chest to be more in line with his overall proportions. Shown in excellent, dense coat.

3. Thompson’s Arnac Bay Gamble

9yo b, with a feminine head and expression. Excellent proportions on the head and strong muzzle. Presents a very balanced overall outline with complementary angulation front and rear. Well sprung ribs, short coupled and strong back. Good bone and stands on strong, tight feet. Very balanced and accurate on the move with correct tail set. Unfortunately a little over conditioned today.
