British Collie Club
2nd – Denton's – Ch Brackenhaye Shape O’My Heart. 8yr old Tricolour Bitch. A favourite of mine and a pleasure to see her again today. Excellent type. Presented a pleasing overall picture. Good clean, flat head with well used ears, could have a darker eye. Good neck, shoulders and upper arm are a good length but felt lacking some condition. Good length of back, level topline and correct croup and tail set. Well angulated behind. Movement a little flappy in front. Rear drive good.
3rd – Smith’s - Ch Winter Is Coming To Tentola. A worth champion of excellent type just not on his best day today.
Puppy Dog (1,1)
Junior Dog (3,0)
1st Hayward’s - Wynele Double Trouble at Foxearth. 15-month-old raw Sable and White male. Upstanding young man with plenty to like. Excels in head, which is flat, of good length and clean throughout. Well placed, dark eyes of good shape and ears used well to give a beautiful expression. Well arched neck of good length into good shoulders, good length of upper arm all well-muscled. Round bone, well covered into excellent feet. Well ribbed, strong loin and good croup, leading to correct tail of good set and length. Good rear with enough bend of stifle. Good hocks. He took some time to get into his stride and settle down but did enough to win the class. In the challenge he had settled down enough to show me his very sound movement. He will take some time to look his best but he has everything there. I could not get past him today and felt confident awarding him the CC. I have no doubt that this dog will do exceptionally well in the future and I am certain he will make my life, as an exhibitor, difficult. Today, as a judge, he made it easy.
2nd Howard, Howard and Fort’s - Shulune Imperial Inkheart with Casatentola. Well-schooled 16-month-old blue merle male. More compact than the winner which suited his size. Balanced dog with a pleasing shape. Head a little short and a little deep Good neck into well laid-back shoulders and good length of upper arm. Good forechest and good round, well covered bone. Good feet. Level topline with correct tail set and length. Moderate rear and sound on the move.
3rd – Burton's – Glencorrie Tyke Vincent
Post Graduate Dog (2,1)
1st – Acford's – Coneypark Mattie Brown. 19 month old shaded sable and white. Just out of junior. Beautifully schooled, compact male. Flat head though a bit short and flared. Dark eye of correct shape and size, ears alert and well placed giving a pleasing expression. Upright in front at the minute but may improve with age. Jacket is short, tight and harsh and a beautiful rich shaded colour. Well covered, straight legs in to excellent feet. Level topline but slopes off on the croup which spoilt his outline. Moved soundly but a little short stepping. Still time on this young boys side.
Limit Dog (2,0)
1st – Robertson's – Wynele Strike One. 2yr old Tricolour male. Another more compact dog. Plenty to like about him. Good breed type. Good clean head with just enough fill of muzzle. Correct eye and ears well set, when used giving the desired expression. Strong neck in to well laidback shoulders and good length and return of upper arm. Good, well covered bone and good ribbing which gave him substance without coarseness. Well muscled and correct rear. Moved well. I would have liked to have done him better today but he just lacks the confidence that I like to see in this breed. I have every faith that as his handler gains in confidence he will too.
2nd – Howe's – Lizoni The Drifter. 2yr old male and a different stamp to 1. Rangier and needing to fill and mature before he is at his best. Good length of skull, stop could be better. Eyes well placed, could be darker. Ears used to advantage. A little steep in shoulder which reflected on the move.

Two worthy champions
1st – Sewell's – Ch Wynele Strike it Rich to Lewarne JW. 2yr old Tricolour dog. Presented in good condition and showing himself well. Good overall type on this male with bold and distinct colouring with jet black, flat coat, rich tan and white whites which finished him off nicely. Good breed type. Topline could be firmer to complete an otherwise pleasing overall picture. Head handles well with good fill of muzzle and good chin. Flat, balanced skull and beautiful dark eye. Strong neck and well muscled forequarters, well covered bone and good ribbing. Good rear and strong hocks. Moved ok, lost out on the top spot as couldnt match the junior for overall balance.
2nd – Wensley's – Ch Constella Hazy Cosmic Jive JW. 3yr old Tricolour male. Smaller frame than the winner but balanced in outline. Head could be flatter. Ears well used. Arched neck in to good shoulders, standing a little loose in the front. Correct feet. Well ribbed, strong loin and firm rear. Moved well.
Puppy bitch (2,2)
Junior Bitch (2,1)
1st - Fort and Cole’s - Shulune Imperial Rum Punch. Tricolour bitch. Compact bitch on the smaller side but ample substance. I would prefer more refinement in the skull and cleaner through the cheeks, otherwise head handled well. Has time to drop in to her front. A little erratic on the move. Time is on her side.
Post Grad Bitch
1st - Richardson’s - Lizoni Que Sera Sera - Tricolour bitch with jet black coat of good length and texture. Head not her fortune, stop a little low and long which effects the overall balance of the skull. Eyes could be darker. Good length in body and strong loin. Front a little steep but strong rear with good bend of stifle. Moved ok.
Limit Bitch
1st Williams and Hamilton’s - McClelland All My Lovin’. Sable and White bitch. The best head of the day. Flat, balanced skull. No ounce of coarseness or flare. Well rounded muzzle and strong chin. Correct, slight stop with well placed, dark eyes and ears used well to give the most exquisite expression. One that can be looked at all day. Good strong neck in to well placed shoulders, plenty of ribbing and bone. This bitch has substance and strength without being oversized or overdone in any way. Good bend of stifle and strong hocks. Very much my cup of tea and couldn’t be denied the class win. Unfortunately could go no further as wasn’t quite moving as her construction would suggest. I hope to see her again on a better day.
2nd Richardson - Koczkodan Sweet Dream’s of Lizoni. Tricolour bitch. Honest type. Good flat head and well used ears. Eyes could be darker to complete an otherwise lovely expression. Good neck and little upright in front. Good ribbing. Correct harsh coat. Moved ok
Open Bitch
1st Denton’s - Ch Brackenhaye Heart N Soul. 5yr old bitch. Clear winner of this class and the best I have seen her. Pleasing outline and very attentive to her handler. Flat head of good length. Well filled muzzle, strong chin, correct stop. To be picky I would like a slightly more refined skull. Good neck in to well placed shoulders. Correct, well covered bone. Firm topline, good ribbing, strong loin and correct croup. Good bend of stifle, strong hocks. On the move she was very sound. I seriously considered her for the CC over the veteran however the veteran had the better reach. A very nice collie. RCC and RBOB over the dog.
