My sincere thanks to the Officers and Committee for the privilege of awarding CCs at their show, and my two stewards, who worked tirelessly to ensure efficiency. We certainly had the weather for a fantastic day; I must say, I was a little disappointed with the ring; I have shown in better. Having grown up with this breed and seen some fine examples of breed type over the years, today, I found that the quality of exhibits was more so in the bitches, nonetheless, I did have some nice males to go over.

Unfortunately mouths still seem to be a challenge – although I saw no visible signs of distress, we do need to pay attention to ensuring the correct bite. My thanks to exhibitors for their entries and sportsmanship, noting that we all take the best dog home at the end of the day.

1st Bramerita Tallulah Truffle (Miss A Wilcox) A pretty bitch, very feminine in appearance, well-proportioned throughout, overall, nicely constructed, with a good length of neck and clean angulation, moved soundly and carried her tail well on the move. Nice size and shape too.

Puppy Two lovely puppies here, could easily swap places.

1st Arkoschi Star Gazer (Mrs D M Gentle) A lovely shape, well made, nice head, nothing overdone here; moved well. Showed with attitude. I will look on with interest to see how he progresses.

2nd Monicachi Money Man at Rozamie (Mr J Magri) Another lovely youngster, who has lots to like, nicely balanced and angulated.

3rd Jorazan Sox It Toem with Buffrey (Mrs S A & Mr S Neath – Coyne – Coyne)

1st Diamonchi Italian Stallion (Mrs D Fothergill) This young man caught my eye upon entering the ring, very nice type, with good proportions and shape, nicely angulated throughout – nicely set ears and pleasing shape to his head. Needs to mature a little, but everything is there – I look forward to following his career.

2nd Anadeia Nallion at Dreamcrewes (Mrs M Crew) Another nice male, a little bit finer than winner, lots to like here - nicely set ears and pleasing head. Nice shape. Overall, a nice dog, with lots to like.

3rd Anadeia Nardhanar at Lauloura (Mrs A Burrows)

1st Misty Meadow’s Red Bull (Mrs T Lehtinen-Cochetti) A red male, moderately angulated, moved with attitude, nice head and shape, good depth of chest. Nicely put together.

Limit

1st Charonchi Ignatius (Mrs S H Slavinec) caught my eye upon entering the ring, very typey and the handsomest of heads! Super condition, nothing overdone here – well bodied and such a lovely expression, just screamed ‘chihuahua’. Delighted to award him the CC today.

2nd Xmas Dancer De Petit Roi Mojito at Casiatodo (Imp Deu) (Miss E Hicks) A fawn sable dog, nice head, level topline and nice tail set. Well-proportioned throughout, unlucky to meet 1 today. Moved true.

1st Ch Diamonchi Button Moon for Moltobello (Mrs S T J Hunt) Another eye-catching dog here – showed well considering the heat of the day. Nice brisk movement, but not overdone. Nicely balanced and proportioned. Won the class on his movement. A worthy champion.

2nd Anadeia Ovation for Mikichi JW (Ms M D Poyner) Handsome chap here- unlucky to meet 1 today. Nicely presented, nicely set ears, which were used well. Lots to like, everything in proportion with good angles throughout.

1st Diamonchi La Dolcie Vita (Mrs D Fothergill) A promising youngster, and another quality specimen from this kennel; lovely shape and head, lovely large eyes and nice ears too. Everything is there, just needs time to come together, I am sure she will have a glittering career ahead of her. Nice type! Litter sister to puppy dog – had the edge on her brother.

2nd Baralicia Mini Maestro (Mrs S T Barker) Another nice youngster, unlucky to meet 1 today, in good condition, nice head and short muzzle. Moved well.

1st Anadeia Tauriel (Mrs H Dodd) This young lady certainly let me know that she was there! Lovely shape and proportions throughout, nicely angulated and moved with attitude. Nicely set tail and topline was level. Moved soundly.

2nd Moltobello Game of Thrones (Mrs S T J Hunt) Pretty young lady, nicely proportioned throughout, good rear angulation. Moved well. Overall, a good quality bitch, just preferred presence of 1.

1st Moltobello Miss Moonstone at Diamonchi (Mrs D Fothergill) A quality bitch here- nice shape and well balanced, showed on six pence, everything in proportion.

2nd Biankai Ooh Lala (Mrs K & Mrs B Watts & Sutton) This lady had a pretty head and a good topline, pretty ear, which she used well. Showed well. Nicely angulated throughout.

1st Copymear War Paint for Jodeschi (Ms J Ginger) A quality bitch, again from a kennel that has had some lovely examples of the breed. Nice bitch overall, with a pretty head and nice eyes. Nice front and compact feet. Nicely proportioned.

2nd Hollichi Ren’s Legacy (Mrs K L Hollister) Nice bitch stood and showed well, good proportions throughout, moved with flare, nice head and ear set. Splitting hairs with 1, could easily have swapped places on a different day.

1st Ch Diamonchi Miss Sparkel JW (Mrs D Fothergill) This young lady excels in type and quality. A real show stopper. Beautifully proportioned, nicely balanced throughout, the feminists of heads -lovely outline too- so much has already been said about this lady! A worthy champion.

2nd Ch Diamonchi Miss Beautiful JW (Mrs D Fothergill) Litter sister to 1, could have swapped places – a difficult choice; lovely head nice dark eyes and beautiful ears. In excellent condition throughout. Moved with attitude and style. Nothing overdone.
