Spaniel (Welsh Springer)

Puppy (2,0)

Two adorable, confident puppies.

1 Cooper & Mullin’s Gilstonia Maggie May, Lovely girl, undoubtedly feminine all through. Well balanced head, pleasantly domed with medium length to muzzle, affectionate eye and correct ears. Neck flowed in to strong, level topline. Good bone for size and feet tight. Moved happily and evenly.

2 Gaylor & Robertson’s Gilstonia Run Red Rum for Aprilflash, Lovely dog for bone and substance. Looked compact and well balanced overall and I liked his body proportions with level topline. At the moment I thought his head less appealing and still developing. Excellent feet and a good mover.

Junior (2,1)

1 Lewis’ Eiriandylis Strange Magic von Trannon, A feminine little livewire. Balanced head with good earset. Muscular neck in to level topline. Well developed ribcage for age. Straight front legs and good stifle. A little nervous in this class but did excel in her powerful movement.

Post Graduate (4,2)

1 Lewis’ Eiriandylis Strange Magic von Trannon, Junior winner who was a little more confident here.

2 Johnstone’s Glenbrows Erasmus for Gilpeta, Liked this boy who is still a youngster and just thought he needs some time to mature. Good stifle and coat. He has excellent bone and good body proportions with level topline and good tail carriage.

Open (8,3)

1 Gaylor & Robertson’s Sh Ch Heniveruce King of Brewers for Aprilflash, Unmistakeable masculine Welsh head with melting expression. The proportions, eyes and ears drew me in. Strong neck in to level topline with slight rise over the loin to a happy wagging tail. Good angulation and the straight front legs and strong, parallel rear pasterns enabled confident, free flowing movement. Masculine but unexaggerated. Such a happy disposition. Simply stunning! BOB.

2 Caldwell & McDowell Bowdonia Only the Brave for Cerysan, Attractive masculine dog, very surprised to discover he is nearly 10 as I’m aware Welsh can ‘grey’ quite young and he certainly didn’t show his age otherwise. Dark pigmented with attractive eye and good ears. Liked his overall balanced proportions and angulation with strong topline and bone. Neat feet which powered him round the ring.

Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla

Puppy (1,0)

1 Upton’s King Fox to Tragus, This boy was definitely ‘distinguished’, a lively soul but gentle too. Only a baby and there is more development to come but his head demonstrated the desirable characteristics with medium set ears just below level of eye. Liked his clean, strong neck in to level topline. Good forechest, excellent development in ribcage (width and depth), and strong loin. Strong rear parallel pasterns, well arched feet. Presented in good coat and pristine condition. BOB & BP.

Junior (0,0)

Post Graduate (1,0)

1 Court’s Twelveoaks Goodwood Pippin, Nice young boy who looked robust and loyal. Definitely a masculine head with parallel head planes. Well developed forechest, balanced angulation. Straight front on good bone. Neat feet. Good coat.
