Riddings and District Canine Society Open Show 02/06/24.

Thank you to society for the invite to judge at their show. A big thank you to Midland Chihuahua Club for their kind sponsorship of the rosettes.Thank you also to my two stewards Ann and Sylvia for keeping the ring running. I just want to add my congratulations to all those who entered under me, all the dogs had wonderful temperaments despite the heat.

Chihuahua Smoothcoat.

Puppy (4,1)

1st Stading, Toltechi’s Dante Le Poete. 6 month old black tri dog, lovely apple dome head with well set ears which he used well, straight front and good rear angulation, level top line and correct tail set. This young man is a real showman and moved round the ring like he owned it. A bright future I am sure and pleased to award him BPIB and happy to see him later awarded Toy Puppy Group 2.

2nd Alexander, Alderxena Ruler Of A Kingdom, 8 months old red dog, another lovely puppy, finer than 1 with a beautiful head and mouth, level top line and straight front, good tail set although he did have his tail down at times, moved well.

3rd Cooper, The Jewel Of The Nile.

Junior (5,2)

1st Fothergill, Diamonchi Miss Beautiful, 16 month old red bitch, this lady lives up to her name beautiful, she has a lovely apple dome head with well set ears, a well defined stop, lovely dark eyes, slightly arched neck of good length leading to a level top line and well set furry tail which was carried over her back at all times, moved well with good reach and drive and keeping a level top line.

2nd Alexander,Alderxena Pocket Rocket, 8 month old red sable dog, a confident puppy with a saucy expression, a good head and mouth, straight front, well sprung ribs and level top line, moved well and pushed the puppy class winner all the way but pleased to award RBPIB.

Post Graduate (5, 3)

1st Fothergill, Diamonchi Miss Beautiful. See 1st in Junior

2nd Hunt, Moltobello Second Glance, 2 year old red bitch. This lady had a lovely alert attitude with plenty of sass, a lovely apple domed head with beautiful dark eyes and well defined stop, well laid shoulders and straight front, level top line at all times leading to a great tail set with her tail carried over her back at all times, moved well and very attentive to her handler.

Open (4, 2)

1st Fothergill, Diamonchi Miss Sparkle JW, 16 month old cream bitch, stunning girl of lovely size and amazing attitude and ring presence, she has a well rounded apple dome head with moderate length muzzle and well defined stop, beautiful dark eyes. A slightly arched neck of good length and well laid shoulders and straight front, well sprung ribs and a level back, she has great rear angulation and excels on the move with brisk action and reach and drive keeping a level top line and tail carried over her back at all times. I am sure she has a bright future and pleased to award BOB.

2nd Stading, Stadmeyer Dashing Dexter JW, 2 year old blue fawn dog. This is a dog I have watched before and is a lovely dog to go over, slightly larger than 1 with an apple dome head, well defined stop and lovely dark eyes, he has well laid shoulders and straight front, another with a level top line which he held on the move along with his tail which was carried well, he moves well with plenty of drive. Unlucky to meet 1 but pleased to award RBOB.

Chihuahua Longcoat.

Puppy (3,1)

1st Holland-Smith, Kirdanchi Le Ballet Gisela, 11 month old cream bitch, a very happy little lady who was in beautiful coat, she has a well rounded apple dome head, lovely dark eyes and well set ears which she used well, a good top line and tail set, she was a little unsettled on the move at times but I saw enough to award her 1st. Another puppy with a bright future. Pleased to award BPIB and later awarded Toy Puppy Group 3.

2nd Berrington, Pappersley Leanora, 6 month old fawn bitch. This puppy has so much potential but due to a recent fright was very nervous on the table, she has a lovely apple dome head with a moderate length muzzle, well set ears and a beautiful face. Once on the ground she is a lot happier and moves well, she is at one with her handler. A good prospect and I hope she gets over her fright. RBPIB

Junior (1,0)

1st Fothergill and Hunt, Caballie Madame Barbie, 13 month old cream bitch, a small and compact girl with a saucy expression, she has a well rounded apple dome head with defined stop and beautiful dark eyes, well laid shoulders and straight front, on the move she showed good reach and drive and maintained a level top line and great tail set at all times, she was in great coat and quite the showgirl. Pleased to award RBOB

1st Fothergill and Hunt, Caballie Madame Barbie. See 1st in Junior.

2nd Berrington, Pappersley Cenotaph, 18 month old fawn bitch. The first thing I wrote was small but mighty, she is certainly full of chihuahua characteristics. She has a well rounded apple dome head, well defined stop, well set ears and another in good coat who moved well with plenty of reach and drive, a level top line and good tail set held throughout. She made me smile with her watch me attitude.

3rd Taylor, Oskola’s White Angel.

Open (6,0)

1st Berrington, Ellochi Crazy Nights For Pappersley JW, 7 1/2 year old fawn dog. This dog is in great condition for a veteran, he is small and compact with a great spirited temperament who clearly loves the show ring. A well rounded apple dome head with a moderate muzzle and well defined stop, lovely large round eyes and well set ears, a slightly arched neck of medium length and well laid shoulders and straight front. A level top line with well sprung ribs and good rear angulation. Great on the move holding his top line level and tail carried up and over his back, beautiful coat of soft texture with lovely feathering. A quality boy and pleased to award BOB and later see him awarded Toy Group 3.

2nd Parker, Zuvan Cover Girl, 3 year old cream/white bitch, another one in great condition and beautiful coat, alert and happy and totally focused on her handler. Well rounded apple dome head with moderately short muzzle, beautiful dark well rounded eyes and great ears which were well used, well laid shoulders and straight front. Ok on the move keeping a level top line just preferred the reach and drive of 1.
