Hungarian Vizsla
Graduate (2, 1 abs).
1st Templar-Bents’ Listerlo Princess Aurora. RBOB.
Tended to hunch her back when stacked today but had nice paces when moving. Pleasing head with moderate skull and kind eye. Muscular neck, straight front, medium bone, tight feet. Rib cage with good spring, well handled.
Open (1, 0abs).
1st Challis’ Vizslanya Csibe JW. BOB.
Lively on the move, attractive in profile and moved straight when going away. Moderate bone, straight front. Well shaped head, intelligent expression from medium sized eye. Evenly distributed dark russet coat. Could not be denied her 1st place and BOB on movement and outline, although I preferred the feet of Graduate winner.
Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla
Graduate (1, 1 abs).
Open (2, 0 abs).
1st Stephens’ Farnfield Pickpocket for Brightmeadow JW. BOB.
This impressive male is just coming up to 2 years old and is maturing well. In excellent condition, fit, carrying just the right amount of weight, presented well and expertly handled. Robust appearance, balanced outline, strong bone, tight feet. Well proportioned head, moderate stop, most appealing expression, good length of neck to level top line, deep through the heart, well ribbed back, well developed thighs. Animated on the move, but tended to pace going away today.
2nd Sauro & Gray’s Belatarr Pandora. RBOB.
Slightly rounded skull, enough muzzle, gentle expression. Deep brisket, well developed chest, plenty of depth of body, ribs nicely sprung. Straight legs front and back, good tight feet. Was straight coming towards and going away but a little too much weight affected her movement and unfortunately she was a bit sluggish. Well handled and presented.
English Setter
Graduate (3, 0 abs).
1st Taylor & Atyeo’s Ravensett Cappuccino with Samelen. RBOB. BP.
Smart and clean outline of this 11 and a half month old bitch. Super head, obvious occiput, deep muzzle, warm expression. Equal angulation, well laid shoulders, good bend of stifle, straight from behind. Elbows close to body, well ribbed with good spring to rib cage. Very well presented tri coloured coat, sympathetically handled. Let herself down a bit in the challenge for BOB when she tended to crouch round the ring, I preferred front of Open winner.
2nd Thomas ‘ Kanietter Sarka.
Blue belton male just short of 2 years old. Masculine head with attractive properties, good length of neck, pleasing spring of rib, strong wide loin, well muscled back end, good turn of stifle, short hind pasterns, expert handler got the best from him. Would prefer a straighter front and a more positive top line.
3rd Lowe’s Frennisett Rhydwen.
Open (3, 0 abs)
1st Danks-Kemish’s Mandysett Fame And Fortune at Alolfrana. BOB + G3.
What a lovely shape this blue belton bitch is, clean elegant outline with angles beautifully balanced at each end, impressive lay of shoulder, stifles well turned. Feminine head with bright expressive eyes, good length of muscular neck, firm top line, very good depth and spring of rib, firm loin, strength to hind quarters gives her the ability to drive, and she reaches effortlessly in front, gait free and graceful with head held high. Straight coming towards and going away, a quality bitch.
2nd Lewis’ Belton Pearls A Kind Of Magic.
This blue belton male has a well shaped head, friendly expression, oval skull, deep muzzle. Good length of neck, well ribbed up, good turn of stifle, straight front and straight legs all round, well padded tight feet, moved with power and drive, at one with his sympathetic handler. Stood over a lot of ground today which made him look longer in body than he actually is.
3rd Brown’s Mariglen Top Gear at Yendorlech.
Irish Setter
Junior (6, 0 abs).
1st Webb’s Alolfrana Whole Lotta Love with Redeshka.
Won here on outline and shape, balanced from every angle, racy in appearance. Loved her feminine head, skull and muzzle match beautifully, obvious occiput, bright expression. Neck set on well and blends into top line, straight front, quality bone, impressive rib cage, firm loin, good sweep from hip to hock. Plenty of depth of body and excellent glossy coat completes the picture. Just would have preferred better return of upper arm.
2nd Danks-Kemish & Swannell’s Alolfrana All I Ask of Eveandabec JW.
I later found out this male is litter brother to 1st. Similar remarks apply, but I preferred the straighter front and tighter elbows of 1st. Pasterns could do with being slightly stronger, this affected his movement coming towards. Very mature for his 14 months and in wonderfully presented full coat. Expertly handled, pleasing free flowing movement. A quality dog, one to watch.
3rd Danks-Kemish’s Alolfrana Electra. BP + PG3.
Graduate (4, 0 abs).
1st Bentley’s Penclippin Celtic Asthore JW. RBOB.
Loved her make and shape, pleasing outline but just preferred the more pronounced breastbone and upper arm of winner of Open in the challenge for BOB. Feminine head, long and lean, matching skull and muzzle, warm and kind expression, calm and friendly disposition. Good length of neck set well into sloping shoulders, straight front, elbows tucked in, neat feet. Powerful hindquarters, well bent stifles, correct angle at hock. Free flowing movement, true footfall coming towards and going away. Just coming into good quality glossy coat, handled to advantage.
2nd Evans & Lloyd-Jones’ Alolfrana Makin Secrets at Blodaugoch.
Bright expression from kind eye, attractive shape of head set well onto slightly arched, muscular neck. Shoulders long, sloping and well laid, she was slightly wide in chest which was obvious when standing and when moving towards, elbows could be tighter. Quality bone, good spring of rib and well ribbed back to loin, plenty of length from hip to hock. Movement active but sometimes crouched behind.
3rd Penclippin Jubilee Flame JW.
Open (2, 0 abs).
1st Webb & Danks-Kemish’s Alolfrana Azzaro beside Redeshka. BOB.
Appealing shape and balance of this 5 year old male. Excellent head, oval skull, good length of muzzle, obvious raised brows over kind eye with intelligent expression. Strong clean neck, impressive shoulders, ideal depth through brisket, positive top line, well ribbed back, powerful hindquarters, well bent stifles, long from hip to hock and short from hock to ground, parallel from behind. Tended to stand too wide at the front and I would prefer less width of chest, but overall I really liked this dog.
2nd Bentley’s Astleyview Coming Home to Penclippin.
This 4 and a half year old male took a little time to settle today. Appealed for shape of head, muscular neck, well placed shoulders, correct width of chest, very good depth of brisket, small tight feet. Had correct slope of top line and quality coat. Hind footfall was not always accurate on the move.
Irish Red & White Setter
Graduate (1, 0 abs).
1st Martin & Green's Rhoswendale Game Is On Again for Viszaset. BP + BOB.
Promising 9 month old with masculine head, length of muzzle compliments length of rounded skull, gentle expression. Slightly arched neck, straight front, good oval bone, ribs developing nicely, strong level back, ideal turn of stifle but would have preferred better lay back of shoulder. Well presented and handled, moved effortlessly.
Open (1, 0 abs).
1st Martin’s Laoirebay Steel Blue Ocean at Shannonstyle JW. RBOB.
Attractive head with rounded skull, square muzzle, kind expressive eye. Quality bone, close knit feet, impressive ribcage with good spring and length, well turned stifle. Very well handled and nicely presented coat. Preferred eye shape to winner of Graduate, but wider in chest and not as positive in elbow placement.
Italian Spinone
Graduate (1, 0 abs)
1st Falberg & Buckley’s Tolosa Tallegio. BOB.
Kind and good natured disposition, he was pleased to be in the show ring, sympathetically handled, very well presented dense coat. Square outline, strong oval bone, well defined tendons, large round front feet, good spring of rib, well ribbed up, good depth of body, hindquarters strong and muscular. Carrying a little bit too much weight today.
Open (1, 1 abs).
American Cocker Spaniel
Graduate (1, 0 abs).
1st Jones’ Truly Mine Teddy. BOB.
Attractive looking head on this black coated male, appealing expression, just would prefer a more positive bite. Well balanced, compact, strong and solid all through. Sloping shoulders, deep chest, straight front, round firm feet. Ideal body properties, deep rib cage, well ribbed back, slight tuck up through flank, top line slopes gradually to broad hind quarters, good turn of stifle and correct angle at hock. Moved well in profile, straight going away but tended to lean towards handler coming towards. Obviously a very well loved dog, together they make a great team.
Open (0 entries).
Cocker Spaniel
Puppy (5, 2 abs).
1st Proudler’s Kimapa Kwackers Kalon. BP + PG4.
Delightful 7 month old male headed this class. Clean and well presented liver roan coat. Head developing nicely, medium skull, square muzzle, eyes intelligent and bright. Pleasing angulation, ideal width of chest, great rib cage, lovely turn of stifle. Slightly bum high today but this should correct as he matures. Showed plenty of pad going away and covered the ground well. A real showman with merry attitude, showed his pleasure with an ever wagging tail. Happy owner got the best out of him, they gelled really well together.
2nd Proudler’s Kimapa Kwackers Kwtch.
I found out later this bitch e is litter sister to 1st. Very similar in a lot of ways, she is better in profile than 1st but not quite as steady on the move when coming towards and going away today. Preferred angulation of stifle of 1st. Balanced properties and a truly feminine head, impressive rib cage, level top line, firm loin, merry tail action, very well presented and handled.
3rd Brookes’ Bruxly Blackjack.
Yearling (5, 1 abs).
1st Harvey’s Tomerine Fact Or Fable. BOB.
Well balanced, compact quality male with clean and silky black coat. Loved his head, well shaped skull, matching square muzzle, appealing face, gentle expression from kind eye. Neck set well into long and sloping shoulders, ideal rib cage with good spring, strong and firm top line, wide loin, muscular hind quarters, good bend of stifle. Legs straight all round with quality bone, tidy cat like feet. Moved very well with ground covering action, good drive from behind, very well handled.
2nd Lewis’ Rockypoint Raffles. RBOB.
Blue roan male, showed himself off to advantage, well handled. Head and neck set on well and flowed smoothly to good lay of shoulders and level top line, short loin. Straight front and firm cat like feet, strong hind quarters and hocks low to the ground. Deep through brisket and good width of chest, at 15 months old has plenty of time to drop through flank, carrying a little too much weight today, but very promising.
3rd Brookes’ Bruxly Elizabeth.
Graduate (3, 0 abs).
1st Craig’s Alisma Amarillo JW.
Outline well balanced and compact, liked the shape of his head, appealing expression from kind eye. Straight front, good quality bone, well boned pasterns and neat feet. Level movement, ground covering in profile and straight going away and coming towards. Very well presented and expertly handled.
2nd Davies’ Trinant Celtic Cariad.
Feminine head and expression, good length of rib cage, pleasing depth of body, tail set on well and good bend of stifle, straight from behind. Just preferred shoulder placement and straighter front legs of 1st. Losing a few pounds would help to assess her.
3rd Proudler’s Kimapa Korki.
Open (3, 0 abs).
1st Davies’ Trinant Mint Humbug.
Balanced from every angle, moved well, good reach and drive, effortlessly covered the ground. Sweet head with kind expression, impressive shoulders flowed to level top line and correct tail set. Well sprung ribs, nice depth of body, tight cat like feet. Adequate turn of stifle but handler please watch because sometimes she can stand with a straight stifle. Preferred slightly straighter front legs of BOB and RBOB.
2nd Proudler’s Kimapa Kocka Kaia.
Happy and merry liver roan bitch, handled exceptionally well and carrying just the right amount of weight. Pleasing head with attractive eye shape, bright expression showing a joy to be in the ring. Balanced outline, matching length and depth, loved her shoulders and front assembly, straight front. Moved well with ever wagging tail.
3rd Craig’s Alisma Aloonah.
Welsh Springer Spaniel
Graduate (2, 0 abs).
1st Williams’ Nyliram The Alibi for Trebettyn JW.
Masculine head, muzzle balanced beautifully with slightly domed skull, obvious stop, expressive eye. Straight front legs with good bone, deep through the heart, well ribbed back, powerful hind quarters, plenty of turn of stifle, strong second thigh. Preferred width of chest of BOB and RBOB. Happy disposition with ever wagging tail, displayed smooth action, well handled.
2nd Lewis’ Eiriandylis Strange Magic von Trannon. BP.
Very promising 7 and a half month old bitch. Feminine head, good length of neck well set into correct lay of shoulders, straight front, good bone, neat cat-like feet. Appealing body properties with good spring of rib. Would prefer better turn of stifle, but she has time on her side to drop into her stifles. Super ground covering action with great reach and drive, pleasing in profile. Was not settled today but she did very well in the noisy hall. Sympathetically handled.
Open (4, 1 abs).
1st Williams’ Sh Ch Isfryn Spot The Difference Trebettyn VW. BOB.
Balanced outline, excellent front assembly, muscular neck well set into sloping shoulders. Loved his head, quality, masculine, balanced. Level top line and slightly low correct tail set. Good depth of body and impressive spring of rib, muscular hind quarters with well turned stifles and good width across second thigh. A true showman, powerful gait, very well handled. Would just have preferred tighter feet.
2nd Philipson’s Menstonia Meteor. RBOB.
A well made dog with balanced angles at each end. Very good length of muscular neck, well laid shoulders, matching bend of stifle and strong second thighs. Straight legs all round with quality bone, firm cat-like feet. Level top line when stacked but unfortunately tended to roach a bit on the move, straight action when going away and coming towards. Preferred his tighter feet to 1st, but lost out to 1st on slightly finer head. Very well handled, they made a good team.
3rd Lewis’ Kidenoan Behind Marek von Trannon.

Symmetrical outline, loved his head, ideal balance of skull and muzzle, kind expression, ears well set on. Excellent shoulders and stifles, very good bone and feet. Positive top line, well sprung ribs. He showed his socks off right through to the end of the day and deserved his BOB and G1 place.
2nd Le-Clerc’s Hunterheck Fade To Black.
Black and white male, excellent head, melting expression from bright and kind eye. Good bone, adequate width of chest, positive top line and correct tail set, nice bend of stifle but would prefer more width across second thigh. Beautifully presented, expertly handled, steady accurate mover.

14 month old orange roan bitch. Cobby appearance, very pretty head, appealing expression, correct high set ears which she used well. Clean neck, straight front, good width of chest, neat compact feet. Well presented and in hard condition but movement wasn’t her fortune today, she tended to crab.
