LABRADORS

PUPPY (2, 0 abs).

1st Nightingale’s Flyenpyg Emily Grunt. BP.

Very promising 8 and a half month old bitch in thick black double coat which had a slightly harsh feel to it. Well shaped head with excellent properties, correct eye shape and lovely expression. Broad all through with well sprung ribs, firm short coupled loin, well set on tail, very good bend of stifle. Impressive bone and neat feet, well handled, together they make a great team.

2nd Evans’ Trendlewood Long Time Comin.

Yellow dog, masculine head, kind eye. Clean neck, very good lay back of shoulder, level top line, stood straight front and back but not so positive on the move when coming towards. His ribs need more spring but at 11 months he has time to develop further. Well presented and well handled.

JUNIOR (4, 0 abs).

1st Wightman’s Langanhoe Lady Marmalade. RBOB.

Sweet and feminine yellow coated bitch, 13 months old, happy to be in the ring and showed herself off very well. Balanced outline, compact and broad all through, straight legs all round, positive footfall, active stride. Very lovely head, defined stop, expressive eyes. Excellent ribs, strong loin, good bone, wagged the whole time.

2nd Goodwin’s Mcfarwin’s Flashing Lights.

16 month old yellow coated bitch, pleasing outline, good muscle tone. Broad skull, good stop, she used her ears well. Straight front and back, firm top line, well sprung ribs, moved with free stride. Preferred tail set and overall balance of 1st.

3rd Foster’s Rochevale Beal.

GRADUATE (5, 2 abs).

1st Cary’s Langanhoe Liberty Bell in Aquadell.

Typical head on this happy, well coated bitch. Broad skull, good stop, wide muzzle. Strong clean neck, excellent shoulder placement, well sprung ribs, good depth of body, straight bone. Would prefer more bend of stifle and a thicker tail to complete the picture. Expertly handled and moved with free ground covering stride.

2nd Goodwin’s M Flashing Lights.

3rd Perkins’ Mcfarwin’s Grey Legacy by Keeninspires.

POST GRADUATE (4, 1 abs).

1st Wightman’s Langanhoe Doris Day. BOB.

Yellow coated bitch who filled my eye as soon as she came into the ring. Beautifully balanced outline, shoulders long and sloping and stifles with equal merit. Positive top line, barrel shaped rib cage, well coupled, wide loin. Powerful hind quarters with short hind pasterns, great reach and drive, active, fit, in hard condition. Very well handled. I found out later that my BOB is mother to my RBOB, what a lovely pair of bitches they are.

2nd Perkins’ M Grey Legacy by K.

Lovely nature shone out from this yellow male. Expressive eyes, kind and honest. Well turned stifle and nice width across thigh, strong bone. Sympathetically handled. Would prefer slightly straighter front and a more positive top line.

3rd Goodwin’s Carpenny Frieda.

OPEN (5, 3 abs).

1st Mills’ Jaybec Winter Wispa JW.

Impressive outline with good depth of body and matching angulation at each end. Free flowing profile movement from this yellow bitch, would have preferred straighter movement coming towards and going away. Well shaped head with good broad skull and wide muzzle, kind dark eye. Very good layback of shoulder, pleasing barrel shape to rib cage, well bent stifle, round compact feet, expertly handled.

2nd Perkins’ M Grey Legacy by K.

IRISH WATER SPANIELS.

OPEN (1, 0abs).

1st Stirk’s Sh Ch Stanegate Hey It’s Bianca JW, ShCEx, OSW. BOB.

Liver coated bitch, 3 years old and has matured very well. Compact appearance showing strength all through, smart on the move with good reach and powerful drive. Happy disposition, keen and biddable. Lovely head with dome to skull and long muzzle, expressive eye, low set ears. Strong neck, deep chest, deep ribs, good spring to rib cage, level top line, firm loin. Straight legs front and back. Handler and dog both happy and smiling, they were a joy to watch.
