BEARDED COLLIE

Thank you so much to Jacky, her committee and my steward for putting on this lovely show and to the exhibitors for their support and sporting acceptance of some close decisions today, it was a thoroughly enjoyable appointment.

Puppy (1,0)

1) Bowden’s Subessen The Wonder Of You.7 month blue. Stood alone, but for one so young acquitted himself well in the early stages of his career. Masculine head with eyes toning with coat to show an affectionate expression, correct bite and dentition. He has good angulation both front and rear, with nice depth of chest and length of rib. Steady, balanced picture on the move for a baby, taking everything in his stride. Nicely presented and sympathetically handled I look forward to seeing him develop as his show career progresses. BP

Junior (2,0)

1) Jones’ Clanwillow Crown And Glory 16 month slate. Nice masculine boy with a broad head and strong muzzle, good dentition and underjaw. Good length of neck leading into well placed shoulders and deep chest. Held his topline well coupled with a firm muscled rear. Drove out steadily today in a nicely sized outside ring giving him the edge over his litter sister.

2) Atkins & Charles’ Clanwillow Crown Of Roses For Snikkles JW 16 month slate. A really pretty girl with a beautiful expression who caught my eye on first impressions. Soundly constructed she is well balanced both front and rear with a level topline, short loin and correct croup. Her movement was a little erratic today which threw her stride balance due to being more distracted in her surroundings.

Post Graduate (10,1)

1) Pickup’s Kiltondale Heat Of The Night JW 2 yr old impressive slate with correct head proportions, pigment and dentition combined with a dark eye and kind expression. Good length of neck leading into correct chest and shoulder placement. Solid topline which showed a strong profile on the stand and beautifully presented. Rear angulation to match front and in fit condition. He moved out well and in harmony with his handler and got better as the class progressed.

2) Bevis’ Beabeardies Cinammon Girl 5 yr old fawn bitch that I have judged previously. Not overdone or flashy, she is honest throughout. Correct proportions with good front and rear angulation, she has matured nicely and moves freely with minimum effort holding a strong topline.

3) Axford’s Bramblemead Bollinger Boy JW

Limit (4,1)

1) Sale’s Potterdale Peace Rose 4.5 yr old slate bitch who has matured since I last judged her. Darkest of eyes and lovely expression. Good front assembly with length of upper arm and lay of shoulder. Correct length of rib, strong topline and balanced rear angulation to match, this girl is another who is well balanced and I was pleased to see her happy in the outside environment with a bigger ring, which enabled her to stride out as I know she can which gave her the class.

2) Butler’s Calowych Moana At Baxilby JW 3 yr old slate bitch who caught my eye on first impressions. She is larger than most but not heavy boned and retains her femininity with a super strong head and muzzle, nice length of neck leading into well placed shoulder. Lovely length of rib and strong topline with matching rear angulation to give a balanced outline on the move. Just felt she was holding something back in her drive today.

3) Richards’ Wildan’s Dark Sky At Elemark

Open Dog (2,1)

1) Dumbrell’s Brodaty Limited Edition At Bethlyntee 5 yr old brown dog. Last judged as a youngster he has matured beautifully. Stunning head with a strong muzzle and jaw combined with a super expression. Nicely arched neck leading to correct shoulder placement with a good length of upper arm. Deep chest, correct length of rib with solid topline and short loin, leads into a well-muscled rear. Moved out well showing lightness on his feet and an easy reaching stride in a large outside ring. Nicely presented in good coat and pleased to award him RBOB.

Open Bitch (6,0)

1) Rivers’ CH Orora’s French Silk At Merrimak JW ShCEx OSW 3 yr old slate bitch. A firm favourite of mine that does not disappoint. Correct head with a stunning expression, strong muzzle and jaw, nicely arched neck leading to good lay of shoulder and super front. Lovely length of rib, short loin flowing into an equally strongly muscled rear, with neat low hocks. On the move she comes into her own, floating effortlessly regardless of direction. Beautifully presented and handled and went on to represent the breed faultlessly in the line up for BIS. BOB

2) Bowden’s Subessen Heart Of Hearts 5.5 yr old slate bitch. Correctly made throughout with pleasing angulation both front and rear, holding herself well with a strong topline and fitness to match. She commanded attention on the move today when she really drove out with minimal effort showing long-reaching strides. Handled to bring the most out of her and shown in fit condition.

3) O’Brien’s Another Posh Frock At Sammara

Veteran (4,0)

1) Bowden’s CH Subessen Blaze Of Fire VW 10 yr old slate bitch. So pleased to finally get my hands on this young lady who really does not look like she is in double digits. Correct head with a wonderfully dark eye and super expression, lovely length of neck into well-placed shoulders and length of upper arm. Correct chest and good length of rib, strong short loin and a super topline. Her rear is strong, muscled and a correct croup with correct low tail set. Her movement is light and effortless, just as it should be to do a day’s work which I believe she still could. Another who represented the breed excellently and showed her socks off in BVIS. BV

2) Woolley’s Malandex Xpressly Sweet With Aratika VW 8 yr old brown bitch. Pretty girl with a good head, super dark eye matching coat. Liked her overall proportions with a lovely lay of shoulder and length of upper arm. On the move she showed both reach and balance, nicely driven from low hocks and a good tail carriage. Super dark coat to finish the picture.

3) Rivers & Leighton’s Talraz Comedy Act For Kyleca
