I’d like to thank the committee for their kind hospitality and putting on a lovely show. Thank you to my fantastic steward and the exhibitors who gave me a fabulous entry, with some close decisions and great sportsmanship.

Bearded Collie

Puppy 9 (2)

1) Axford’s Bramblemead Sparkling Lady 11 month blue, aptly named feminine bitch. Pleasing head of good proportions, strong muzzle and excellent dentition finished with an enquiring expression. She is really nicely balanced as predicted by her construction. Well laid shoulder and length of upper arm with correct angulation both front and rear. Nice length of rib with short loin, good rear muscle tone and neat hocks. Well handled in this growing partnership, this showed in her lightness of foot with lengthy strides which allowed her to flow around the ring. BP PG2

2) Waldron & Gray’s Une Histoire D’Amour De Chester With Snowmead (Imp Fra) 11 month slate. Another pretty bitch with nice head proportions, strong muzzle yet sweet expression. She is balanced in herself, showing sound movement in all directions showing positive drive, I just preferred the reach and overall proportions of 1.

3) Salter’s Whole Lotta Love From Noonie Bears By Irisaddition (Imp Bel)

1) Axford’s Bramblemead Sparkling Lady

2) Waldron & Gray’s There’s Something About Mary At Snowmead JW (Imp Fra) 18mth slate bitch currently going through the pale stage. Strong yet feminine, she had a good head and super expression. Deep chest and my notes say long, but from the rib with a strong loin allowing her to maintain her topline on the move. Elegant yet not overdone, she is beautifully presented and handled to get the most out of her on the move.

3) Jones’ Clanwillow Crystal Bay

1) Nolan’s Talraz Badge Of Honour JW 2.5 year old slate dog. Not one that I have judged previously and he caught my eye as soon as he entered the ring and then stood in balanced profile. Your hands flow over this lad and he does not disappoint from a broad head, nicely arched neck, correct shoulder placement and length of upper arm. Nice deep chest, length of rib with his strong topline and short loin flowing into an equally balanced and well-muscled rear. On the move he is so light on his feet, with excellent reach and drive showing his ability to be absolutely fit for function. Loved him. BOB GRP3

2) Bramley & Moore’s Coalacre Do The Hokey Cokey 21 month slate dog. More substance than my class winner but certainly not heavily boned or sluggish on the move. Lovely head and super expression he has balanced qualities both front and rear showing positive drive on the move from all angles. In harmony with his handler, he looked to be enjoying himself. Hope to see him out more in the future.

3) Butcher’s Sylavabrae Newton’s Law

1) Skinner’s Dychix The Rag Nymph 3 year old blue bitch. I have judged this girl as a puppy and she has grown into a well balanced and polished young lady. Super expression and eye toning with coat, she has a strong yet feminine head. Nice length of neck leading into sound front assembly. Deep chest, nice length of rib and short loin with equally balanced and well-muscled rear. She showed reach and drive from all angles on the move. Another that is shown in fit and hard condition and beautifully presented. RBOB

2) Edward’s Kelham Like Dreams Do At Roxilyn JW 2.5 year old slate bitch. This young lady is elegant and graceful both on the move and in profile. Correct head, excellent dentition and strong jaw to match. Well-laid shoulder placement and length of upper arm equally matched rear with nice neat hocks. She shows strength yet retains femininity holding her shape with fluent and steady movement and as always, immaculately presented and handled. Just preferred the drive of 1 today.

3) Cooper’s Tybury’s Song Of Ice And Fire
