1. Comperat & Truelove’s Bargeway Boomerang. This delightful well grown pup has a pleasing square outline with a well furnished coat. Handsome wedge shaped balanced head with neat ears, dark spectacled eyes and dark muzzle. Ample bone, with well sprung ribs, level topline and his profusely plumed tail was well curled over his back. An attentive well schooled showman, it was his movement that gave him the edge over the competition today, showing a brisk effortless gait. BP and BOB. Delighted to hear that he caught the eye of the group judge taking Utility Group 4 and Utility Puppy Group 1.
2. Church’s Tykees Soul Searching. Smaller girl with plenty of substance and a nice balanced outline. Feminine well proportioned head with dark spectacled eyes, neat ears and an alert expression. Good depth of chest, lovely spring of rib and her legs were well placed under her body when standing. Not in full coat today, she moved out well with a brisk action.
3. Johnston & Atkinson’s Winklestar Namid.

1. Downs’s Liefkees Assisi JW. Masculine boy who had the better shoulders and moved more freely than the second placed dog. Sporting a full coat, he has ample substance, well sprung ribs and good depth of chest with balanced angulation. In the challenge, he wasn't quite as compact in outline as the BOB winner. Attractive head, with well defined markings, neat ears, and dark eye. Shown in good double coat. He moved around ring with good brisk gait couldn’t match the lively performance of the pup today. RBOB.
2. Rose’s Dianakees Inspector Morse at Esorkees. Lots to like about this smaller well balanced dog, but he decided he wasn't going to cooperate with his handler today and didn't give his all on the move. He has a compact outline with good bone and substance, would like slightly better lay of shoulder, well sprung ribs and firm level topline. Masculine well marked head, dark almond eyes and neat ears. His well presented double coat of correctly textured.

1. Roslin-Williams’ Mansergh Final Fling. Quality puppy, narrow throughout, spannable and well ribbed back to decent loin and short thick tail, she could carry a bit more weight to advantage. Feminine otter like head with a short strong muzzle, neat ears and dark eyes showing terrier keenness. A good coat on a pliable pelt completed the picture. Moved out confidently, she does needs to tighten up in front. BP and awarded Terrier Puppy Group 3 by the Group judge.
2. Larner, Phillips & Jones’ Earthtaw Peony. Another nice youngster, good for size, she has a moderate neck, good shoulders and is of good length to allow her to be well ribbed back. Easily spannable, secure top line completed by a lovely tail. Feminine otter head, eyes could be a tad darker, she has a keen expression. She was sporting a thick harsh well presented jacket on a good pliable pelt. Moved soundly.
3. Armstrong-Godwin’s Chmod Baxter.

1. Haydon’s Tallview Play The Game at Earthlaw. Good for size this smart young man has a moderate neck, is easily spanned with good shoulders and he is of good length allowing for his narrow ribs to be well laid back. Masculine otter head, neat ears and a good bite, perhaps his muzzle could be very slightly shorter. Carrying a nice tight harsh coat and pliable thick pelt. It was on the move that not only won him the class but BOB. Delighted to see him take Terrier Group 1 under the Group judge.
2. Armstrong-Godwin’s Chmod Baxter. This lad I think might be quite new to showing and just needs a bit more practice to get the best out of him. Strong masculine otter like head, well placed ears, dark eyes with short strong muzzle all giving a keen expression. He is just about spannable, but could lose a bit of weight to advantage. Shown in good order with a good double jacket on a pliable pelt. Once he settled, he moved out well retaining his topline.
PG (3,1abs)
1. Phillips’ Brankell Angeleyes at Nantcoch. This girl won the class on her more racy outline and better movement today. Feminine yet strong otter head, good ear set with a keen expression, her muzzle could perhaps be a tiny bit shorter. Good for size she has a moderate neck, good shoulders and is of good length with well ribbed narrow ribs making her easily spannable. In between coats at the moment but she has a pliable pelt. Moved out well, smoothly and soundly.
2. Salkeld’s Kenaiteen April Fools Day. Mature girl with a well shaped head, dark eyes, her ears were not settled today. Good for size with nice straight front, moderate neck, good shoulders and her body is of good length. Just about spannable, she could lose a little weight to advantage. Shown in good order, and she moved out soundly enough but needs to be moved at a faster pace.

1. Steven’s Cobstoneway Stand By Me. Liked the outline on this boy, narrow throughout with a moderate neck, good shoulders and is of good length allowing for his narrow ribs to be well laid back and easily spanned. Strong head with keen dark eyes, strong muzzle and good bite. In between coats at the moment but it was harsh with a nice thick pelt. Moved out well with an easy ground covering action. RBOB
2. Hyslop’s Rocksam at Raisbeck. Another dog of good size with a pleasing outline. Masculine head, dark eyes and good ear placement all giving a keen expression. Clean straight front, good shoulders and well ribbed back, and spannable. He was also in between coats but with a nice thick pelt. Moved well with a good ground covering action.

OB (4,1abs)
1. Haydon’s Eathtaw Nessa Jenkins. Won this class on her more active movement. Strong yet feminine head with neat ears and good bite, her eyes could perhaps be a shade darker. Clean straight front, moderate neck , good shoulders and she is easily spannable with her narrow ribs carried well back. Carrying quite a thick jacket which makes her look a touch heavy in neck, great pelt. Moved out soundly with an easy gait..
2. Salkeld’s Kenaiteen April Fools Day. See PG notes, just wished she showed more enthusiasm on the move.

1. Heale & Davies’ Rhoderns Arbika of Trelawneki. Well grown pup, first impression is that he is long and low with a level back, perhaps a touch long in the loin at the moment, his hindquarters are well developed for his age. Attractive masculine head with gorgeous dark brown eyes with good strength to his muzzle and big strong teeth, his prick ears were nicely fringed, just a little unsettled today. Beautifully presented coat that is developing well. On the go around, he used his well angulated rear to move out with a good stride holding his tail well. Promising pup, BP and delighted to see him take Terrier Puppy Group 2 under the Group judge.

1. Shuttleworth & Whincup’s Wondersky Wish You Were Here at Whicheeta (Imp USA) This feminine girl is good for size, and has a lovely outline being long, low and level. Loved her balanced head, clearly feminine with strength, very dark eyes, and well set prick ears with good fringing giving the characteristic Skye Terrier look. Well made front with short strong legs, good length of neck fitting neatly into her shoulders, good ribbing, level back and strong short loins. Her well presented double coat is of good length and texture. On the go around she drives well from her well muscled rear with a nice fluid gait whilst retaining her topline and tail carriage. RBOB
O (5,1abs) A challenging but enjoyable class because there was quality throughout the placings and on another day any one of these Skyes could have won such was the quality. But decisions had to be made.
1. Heath’s Ch Lavauxs Bahamian Chris. An eye-catching boy with a pleasing well proportioned outline being long low and level with a short strong loin and well set on tail. I’ve admired him from the ringside, but its not until you feel under his well presented double coat that you appreciate how well made he is. Strong masculine head, with dark eyes, well set on ears with plenty of fringing, strong muzzle with good bite and big strong teeth. Good length of neck with a nice crest, leading into broad shoulders, level back and short strong loin. It was on the move that clinched it for him today, driving off from his strong rear with an easy fluid stride. BOB and shortlisted in the Terrier Group by the Group judge.
2. Grainger’s Black Cullins Catriona (Imp Deu) JW. I judged this feminine girl as a youngster and thought highly of her then, now approaching full maturity she’s certainly fulfilling her early promise. She has well proportioned and balanced profile with all the L’s , low, long and level. Super head, with well fringed ears, dark expressive eyes, and a strong muzzle. Her long neck fits nicely into her shoulders, her ribbing is of good length , level back with a short firm loin. Carrying a well presented quite heavy double coat of good length and texture. Moved soundly around the ring, just not quite the enthusiasm and active movement of the winner today.
3. Sanderson’s Esgia Highland Laddie.

1. Quigley’s More Life In A Tramps Vest (Irish Terrier). Smartly turned out youngster with a nicely balanced outline, racy yet with good substance. Feminine head, good ear set, small eyes with a terrier keenness, could perhaps be a shade darker as could her nose pigment. Clean neck of good length, enough depth to her brisket, firm level topline, moderate rear angulation and high set tail. Her harsh jacket was well presented and she moved out soundly keeping her topline.
O (5,3abs)
1. Heath’s Skyeshire Rosie (Skye Terrier). A rather lovely lady, with a well balanced feminine head, well placed ears with good fringing and strength to her muzzle. Good forehand, with strong short legs, long strong neck fitting cleaning into her shoulders and oval ribcage. Firm level topline and short strong loin. Her well muscled and angulated rear enable her to move out fluidly and with drive, all topped off with a beautifully presented double coat of correct texture.
2. Phillips’ Rockslade Romeo’s Revenge (Border Terrier). A nicely made lad, narrow throughout and with a nicely balanced outline. Masculine head with dark eyes, good ear placement , perhaps very slightly short in muzzle, but has a keen expression. Clean straight front, good shoulders and well ribbed back and spannable. Shown in harsh jacket and pliable pelt. Moved soundly, with a good ground covering action in profile just a touch close going away today.

1. Heath’s Perrylands Hello Again (Skye Terrier) Lovely girl who carries her age very well, in fact she doesn’t look 8 years old as she flowed around the ring so soundly with a free and easy gait. Liked her outline being long, low and level topped off with a very well present double coat of good length. Beautiful headpiece strong yet feminine, well fringed prick ears and dark eyes. Very good front with short strong legs, good length of neck with slight crest, broad shoulders and secure level back and short loin. Best Terrier Veteran and I was delighted to hear that she later won Reserve Best Veteran in Show under the BIS judge.
2.Steven’s Ch Cobstone Love Song JW ShCM (Border terrier) Another lovely veteran girl who was carrying her age very well. Liked her size, strong but feminine otter head with dark keen eyes and short strong muzzle. Well ribbed back, secure level topline and well made hindquarters. Narrow throughout and easily spannable, she was shown in fit condition with a well presented harsh jacket and loose pliable pelt. Moved out well just a touch close behind going away, nice ground covering profile gait.

Vet (10 years & over)
1. Stevens’ Cobstoneway Ocean Sunrise (Border Terrier). Nearly 12 years old , this lad was carrying his age very well and still very much fit for function. Bigger built and perhaps a touch heavy in type, he still has balance and was shown in fit condition with a lovely with a harsh jacket and pliable loose pelt. Good forehand with straight front legs, moderate neck, good shoulders, well ribbed and spannable. Moved steadily and soundly on the go around with a good tail carriage.
