Stafford & District Canine Society – 28th Sept 2024

Many thanks to the committee for my invitation to judge several of the Utility Breeds and the Group and to my extremely efficient steward, who kept the ring running smoothly all day. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and thank you to all that entered and allowed me to go over their lovely dogs.

DALMATIANS

Puppy (2,0)

1st Whincup’s Tamilanda Vintage Gold 7.5mth Liver spotted male with well distributed spotting. Mature for age and has masculine head, correct amber eyes and well placed ear. Good front with clean shoulders and deep chest, good bone to his straight front. Nicely balanced in profile with good rear angulation and strong loin. Show in excellent condition and well-handled moving out with style, always holding his topline. BP

2nd Cattermole’s Hafwenna Dumbledores Army For Kalvadene 8 mth old Liver spotted male not as mature at this stage as 1st, pleasing head with good width to skull and well placed ear. Lovely length of neck , Straight front , not the depth of chest as 1st. Good topline with well-defined withers. Well-muscled hindquarters and nice turn of stifle. Another good on the move once settled.

Yearling (4,2)

1st Sampson’s Dalstorm Just So Salsa -1 yr Liver spotted bitch feminine head with good proportions and good ear placement and lovely amber eye. Lovely, elegant shape and length of neck. Well-constructed front and rear with enough bone and she presents a balanced outline in profile with good depth to chest and strength in loin. Moved out well coming and going.

2nd Hill’s Dalstorm Just A Samba – 1yr Liver Spotted bitch , litter sister to 1st and shares many similarities. Shown in gleaming coat condition. Straight front but not the width in front as her sister. Good turn of stifle. Not the strength in topline as 1st on the move and it was this that just tipped the decision.

1st Burke’s Hafwenna The Red Viper 22mths Black Spotted Male. Good proportions to head with enough width to skull, lovely expressive eye. Neck of good length and shape. Straight boned front with good width and depth of chest. Well defined withers and balanced in profile. Topline held on move. Has well-muscled hind quarters with good turn of stifle. Moved well in all directions and covers the ground with ease. BOB

1st Finlay’s Dalfin Actual Fact ShCEx 7yr old Handsome Black Spotted Male of lovely size and overall balance. Clean in head, good length to neck. Correct front and rear angulation, front straight with good bone. Good coat condition and well distributed clear spotting. Powerful free movement. Credit to his owner. He was also entered in AV Utility Veteran, and I was extremely pleased to hear he took BVIS, thoroughly well deserved.

2nd Kembrey’s Dalmark The Ash Blonde 4 year old Liver spotted bitch feminine. Decent shape to head, correct length of neck. Clean front assembly with elbows set close to body. Good spring of rib and set well back. Correct balanced in profile. Good turn of stifle and well-muscled rear. Elegant on the move and held herself well , was unlikely to come up against 1st as there is a lot to like about her.

1st Moore’s Unstoppable Alpiu Slenis To Jaxtzu (imp Ltu) 11mth G/W Dog Eye catching puppy. Lovely head proportions with well-placed dark expressive eyes. Good width to muzzle. Ample bone to front. Good length of neck and head carriage. Balanced in profile, with enough depth to chest. Strong in back with well-muscled hind. Presented in excellent coat and excelled on the move. BP

2nd Maule’s Jadetemple Jaci Higgins At Daltricia. 11mth G/W Bitch Feminine head with broad skull and enough width of muzzle. Good wide open nostrils. Dark round eye. Straight in front. Good proportions in profile. High set tail. Another lovely puppy who moved well but preferred hind movement on 1st.

1st Maule’s Daltricia Jack Higgins JW 2yr G/W Dog Another nicely balanced example, with broad round skull and wide well placed large dark eyes and lovely expression. Correct Ear with long leathers. Broad muzzle with good mouth. Straight Front and well laid shoulder, sufficiently deep chest. Shapely neck and good head carriage. Sturdy in build and good tail set. Moved well with smooth flowing action. BOB

2 Mhatre’s Alchez After The Storm 4yr B/W Dog Pleasing width to head and muzzle . Wide set dark round eye. Well balanced in profile with good length and set of tail. Proud head carriage on correct length of neck. Good front in front . Moved well on the away and back but preferred the overall substance on 1st.

Yearling (1,1)

1at Thornhill’s Swandown Snowstorm G/W 13mth dog. Moderately narrow head with correct stop and is well furnished. Dark eye of good size and frontally placed. Straight front , well ribbed. Kept his level topline on move. Presented in good condition and with full coat. Moved well and it was this that secured his BOB

1st Harris’ Vonstry What A Stunner 23mth Brindle Dog Dark well placed eye. Pleasing head proportions with good length of muzzle. Nice body proportions with firm level topline and strong loin. Moved well coming and going. Just not the coat of others in the lineup.

Harris’ Vonstry Mr Sunshine 3yrs Cream Dog Nice head proportions with correct head furnishings and heavily feathered ear. Dark eye. Well arched neck. Level topline with high set well-furnished tail. Presented in excellent condition. Moved and showed well, just preferred the movement of 1st yearling for BOB.

Junior (3,1)

1st Manners’ Roopec Keep Up With Me 8.5 mth Black Bitch. Pretty Puppy with desired Foxy Expression. Good head and muzzle proportions, dark expressive oval eyes. Ears carried erectly and well set. Straight front with neat fee. Well-proportioned in profile with short strong back and depth to her brisket. Thigh developing nicely. Harsh in Coat. Moved well in all directions.

2nd Massey’s Miofrey Magical with Ristine 9mth Black Bitch . Another pretty pup with alert expression. Head and muzzle of correct proportions with lovely dark eye. Straight in front. Good depth to chest and nice underline. Well bodied for age giving correct cobbiness. Good hind angulation. Moved well but just preferred topline of and front movement on 1st.

1st Manners Roopec Just One More Litter sister to the winner of Junior class. Shares many similar characteristics, lovely head, and expression , well placed erect ear. Straight front with cat like feet. Feel in profile she has a little more substance at this stage than her sister and a more well developed thigh which gave her the edge for BP. Moved true coming and going.

1st Massey’s Ristine Magical Spice (NBT) 4 yr Cream Dog, I liked his shape and size. Giving the desired cobbiness in profile. Well-shaped head with muzzle of moderate length, good mouth, and correct foxy Expression. Muscular shoulder and strong straight front . Straight topline which rounds over his croup. Rear is well muscled . Moved briskly and true coming and going. BOB

Manner’s Ch Chadbower Nevaeh Lahetti 7yr Black Bitch. Lovely expression with a small sprinkling of grey on her muzzle which is of moderate length. Overall well-proportioned head Good ear shape and size. Straight front and neat feet. Strong topline which she held on the move. Well-muscled hind quarters. True movement coming and going. Just preferred the overall cobbiness of 1st.

1st Byrne’s Alkekontes Bet On Red 6mths Red dog. Elegant Puppy presented in fabulous condition and well-schooled for age. Head in proportion to size. Good muzzle with tight fitting lips and correct bite. Dark eye expressive eye. Straight front and neat oval feet. Deep in chest with rounded rib. Balanced outline in profile with strong back and good hind angulation. Moved very well and in tune with her handler. BP

2nd Johnston’s Delilah Mother Dream 8mth Red Bitch. Hard to assess this young lady as she was very unsettled on the move and on the table and seemed a little overawed by her surroundings. Dark expressive eye. Long ear leathers. Tight lips and correct mouth. Summer Cut. Needs to body up all over. May benefit from some ringcraft.

1st – Cherry’s Shanandi Lucinder 21mth Black Bitch Balanced head proportions with nice chiselling to sides. Tight fitting lips, Good mouth with correct scissor bite. Lovely well placed dark eyes. Neck of good length and head carried high. Strong muscular shoulder , well balanced in outline. Strong back correctly carried tail. Good bend of stifle and well let down hock. Sound on the move demonstrating the required light and free movement . BOB

1st Preston’s Brooksbeauty Little Rascal 10mth Black dog. Lovely character and temperament. Well balanced and nice size. Lovely head proportions with dark eye. Good length and shape to ear. Well laid shoulders, straight front and neat feet Good length of neck and head carriage. Muscular hind quarters and moved well with plenty of drive. Stood alone today but worthy of his BP and BOB

1st Gutteridge’s Twybrook Rotkappchen of Geduld 14mth Bitch Feminine head with good markings. Lovely deep brown eye and sweet expression. Muzzle slightly wedge shaped and of good proportion to skull, ears correctly set just above eye level. Correct mouth. In profile she is nearly square and is well balanced. Straight in front with tidy feet. Strength in topline which she held on the move . Moderate angulation behind. Moved well in all directions. Presented in good condition and coat.

1st Cambridge & Skjonberg’s Mooiekooi’s Dolly Dodge 2yr Bitch Balanced in head proportions with correct skull to Muzzle ratio. Dark eye of correct shape. Well placed ear which are well feathered with correct ear rings. Has good bone to her straight front and slightly sloping pasterns. Well sprung ribs, a little longer in loin than others in line up, straight topline. Good hind angulation. nice tail carriage and well feathered. Was a little skitty on move today, but once settled moved well.

1st Guy’s Cirtaps Prinses Bynton Ida Rose MK (imp Swe) 10yrs Bitch was a little taken aback when I discovered this “young” lady’s age. Still in superb condition with just the smallest amount of grey. Lovely expressive dark eye, good muzzle to skull proportions. Correct mouth. Good forechest and well laid shoulder, straight front with enough bone. In outline she presents as nearly square with good strong topline and well-muscled hindquarters. Moves so soundly for her age with good rear drive and springy action. BOB

1st O’Connors Malia Winter Spice with Talistella 10mth Pale Gold Dog, Domed Head with well-placed dark expressive eye, blunt muzzle, and well placed ear and slight undershot. He has a correct slight bow to his front, leading to Neat hare Feet. Well laid shoulder. Good spring of rib and level topline. Good positive movement around the ring , holding his topline and tail carried correctly on the move. BP

2nd Hartford’s Baarnayotms April Showers at Mennimoonz 14mth Sable Bitch her black mask giving her a lovely feminine expression. Well placed dark eyes which cement her sweet expression. Muzzle of medium length and in proportion to skull. Well laid shoulder , enough bone to front and correct hare feet. In profile her head is carried proudly, and she has good height to length proportions. Presented in good coat condition. Correctly plumed and carried tail Straight on the move, but just preferred the movement on 1st.

1st Hartford’s Tuyet Forever Bonnie at Mennimoonz 3yr Black Bitch Nicely made with typical domed head, well placed dark eye and good set to ear with enough feathering. Good spring of rib, level topline and has good front and rear angulations and neat hare feet. Sound and purposeful on the move.

2nd Perfitt’s Richearon All About Audrey for Hilshki 23mth Gold Bitch, Lovely girl with Good head with well-placed medium ear. Dark oval eye and good proportions to her blunt muzzle. Moderate bone to her slightly bowed front. Excellent coat condition. She has a pleasing outline in profile and good hind angulation with moderate turn of stifle. Moved well in all directions.

1st O’Connors’ Susu Rewrite The Stars For Talistella 2yr Gold Dog. Delightful alert expression. Correct dome to his head which is of moderate length and width. Medium length cushioned muzzle and correct bite. Lovely expressive dark oval eye. Well placed ear. Balanced in profile with good spring of rib. Well laid shoulder and good hind angulation with well let down hocks. Presented in excellent coat and condition , moved well in all directions. BOB

2nd Harford’s Mennimoonz Little Mole 5 yr old B/W Parti colour Bitch. Domed head of well balanced proportions. Blunt muzzle with enough cushioning. Slight bow to front and neat hare foot. Well set on neck and balanced front and hind angulation. Level topline and nice set to tail. Moved with purpose, just preferred the expression of 1st.

1st Mcloughlin’s Zantescwtch Nordic Flame Standard Poodle Red Bitch Just turned 6mths presents a lovely balanced outline when stood. Long fine head with enough strength in foreface. She has lovely dark expressive eyes. Correct low set ear leathers with good length. She carries her head proudly on good length of neck which flows into her well laid shoulder. Straight front and tight feet. Still to develop in body but she has strength in loin and good hind angulation and high set tail. Moved soundly with free flowing action. BP

2nd Saafan’s Geovanic Cupids Arrow Bulldog 10mth White Dog presented in excellent condition. Good width to his flat skull with well-placed rose ears. Dark clear eye. Broad jaw with developing upsweep. He has a strong front with good width to chest and ample bone , tacked on shoulder and tidy feet. Needs to drop a little more in brisket but that should come as he matures. Moderate length of neck and topline has rise over his strong muscular loin. Good spring of rib and strong hindquarters, sound on move demonstrating typical rolling action.

Yearling (6,3)

1st Peebles & Kirkwoods Weebullz Parabellum Bulldog 15mth R/W Dog Lovely Standard size male who presents a tidy package from all angles. Has good width and length to his brick shaped skull, wide jaw with good dentition and tidy flews , excellent layback. Dark well placed eyes , large nose pad with open nostrils. Correct rose ear. Straight sturdy front with good width of chest and depth of brisket, strong pasterns. Moderate arch to his neck and in profile has desired fall behind should and rise over his muscular loin . Well-muscled hindquarters with hocks well let down. Sound on the move holding topline and true coming and going. Best AVNSC

2nd Mcloughlin’s Zantescwtch Jack of Hearts JW Standard Poodle 18mth Cream Dog Balanced head proportions with dark well placed almond eye, flat cheeks and good muzzle length. Low set long ear leathers. Well Iaid shoulder and straight front with neat feet. Good spring of rib and strong in topline. Good bend of stifle and well-muscled hind quarters. Correct High Set tail. Presented in excellent coat condition in Continental trim. Moved with elegance and plenty of drive.

1st Bagshaw’s Pommary New Beginning German Spitz Klein 2yr Sable Bitch She has pleasing head proportions, Neat small correctly shaped ear. Dark Eye with alert expression. Muzzle of good length and shape. Neat small triangular high set ears. Correct dentition. Straight front. In profile she is a nice shape and high set tail profusely covered . Moved well in all directions.

2nd Johnston’s Willowood Lady Cora Standard Poodle 12mth old Black Bitch Still very much a baby and needs to mature in body and strengthen in topline. Long fine head with dark almond shaped eye, good length to ear leathers. Ok for bone to her straight front. Good bend of stifle. Correct High set tail. A little unsettled in her surroundings , so movement was a little hard to assess.

1st Barratt & Clarke’s Witchgait Toast of The Town Shar Pei 2yr Red Fawn Bitch Compact in outline with head in good proportion to her body. Skull flat with small triangular ear. Broad slightly padded muzzle with large black nose pad and open nostrils. Dark well placed almond eye. Moderate amount of wrinkling. Good bone to her straight front. Compact feet. Strong neck leading to well laid shoulder. Correct depth to brisket. Topline has rise over loin. Muscular hindquarters with moderate angulation. Sound free movement.

2nd Guy’s Wynele Trooping The Colour Boston Terrier 8yr old Dog Square head which is free from wrinkling. Good depth and width to his muzzle. Well defined stop. His round eye is dark and set wide apart. Well placed and carried ears. Straight front with tight pasterns. Slight arch to neck. Good spring of rib and well ribbed back, Muscular short loin. Good turn of stifle. Small tail. Free and easy on the move. Presented in excellent condition.

1st Cassidy’s Yrgalem Dream of Coffee at Chinaskys Imp Pol – Xoloitzcuintle (Standard) 17mths who is eye catching in terms of his masculinity and overall balance. Strong wedge shaped head with good width and depth proportions. Good mouth and tight fitting lips. Super straight front with firm pasterns and tight elbows. Excellent muscle tone. Elegant slight arch to his muscled neck. Topline is level and strong, good depth of chest and moderate tuck up. Well-developed muscular thighs. Impressive on the move holding his topline and moving with long elegant strides. Excellent skin condition. He is a handful but was well handled and it was a pleasure to later award him UG1, a stunning boy.

2nd Atkins & Charles’ Snikkles Ice Princess Miniature Poodle 8yr White Bitch presented in excellent coat. Well balanced with Long and fine head of good proportions. Dark almond eye, Long low set ear. Well laid shoulder straight front. Good spring of rib. Good hind angulation and held her topline on move with good drive from behind.

Utility GP1 Cassidy’s Yrgalem Dream of Coffee at Chinaskys Imp Pol Xoloitzcuintle, GP 2 White’s Schnaustar Wannabe Miniature Schnauzer 7mth Pepper & Salt Bitch very smart youngster, Head is of good length with ideal breath between ears. Neat ear set high. Dark expressive eye, intelligent expression. Straight front with well laid shoulder. Strong topline and short loin. Good rear quarters and moved freely with food reach and drive, a very polished performance and presented in excellent condition with harsh coat. 1st Kay’s Bestfrenchie Becky – French Bulldog 23mth Brindle Bitch. Square head with enough width of muzzle and chin. Dark well placed eye and Bat ear of decent size and shape. Straight in front with enough bone . Typical in topline with correct rise over loin, Deep chest , muscular hind quarters. Moved freely.

2nd Moore’s Pommary Court Jester – German Spitz Klein 2yr Cream Sable dog. Ok in head proportions , neat ear, dark eye, alert expression. Straight front with neat feet , good hind angulation and tail carriage. Well presented and moved well.
