My sincere thanks to the Committee for their invitation to Judge here today. Thank you to my stewards who were fantastic and kept things running smoothly, I hope you have thawed out!

I was pleased with the overall quality of my entry and thanks to all the exhibitors for affording me the privilege of Judging their lovely dogs.

LABRADOR RETRIEVER

1. Griffin & Moulster; Jenberry Bojo, stood alone today, a fit athletic dog and I see his father was a FT CH, different in type with working lines behind him, but has good bone and feet, good weatherproof coat, moved well in profile with good tail carriage, BOB

GOLDEN RETRIEVER

Puppy

1. List; Hayengold Moment in Time, super young bitch, lovely head and expression, dark eye and pigment, correct overall balance, good bone and tight feet, dense coat, well sprung ribs and short coupled, level topline that she held on the move with correct tail set and carriage, her movement was a pleasure to watch, so true in front, she moved around the ring with effortless ease, BP & RBOB and later in the day my Puppy Group winner. One to watch in the future.

2. Taylor & Tenn; Strettonhill’s Daffodil, unlucky to meet my winner today, not the same depth of pigment in head which spoils the expression, nice body and coat, not as tidy on the move and need to tighten up the hind quarters.

Junior

1. Staniland; Bermary Sweet Child of Mine, nice head, dark pigment with feminine expression, good bone and body, weatherproof coat, moved well but feet and pasterns need to tighten up.

2. Harding; Eveninghill Red Sky at Night, another promising young bitch, nice head and kind expression, good bone and feet, correct coat, moved with plenty drive, just looked a little lame on the corners.

3. Walker and Roberts; Lamancha Trust Your Heart with Gloi.

Post Grad

1. Garget & Morriss; Goldmarker Coming Home to Garvin, lovely young boy, liked his masculine head and expressive dark eyes and pigment, well laid shoulders, deep well sprung ribs, good topline with correct tail set. Good bone with well-muscled thighs and good feet. Shown in good coat and moved well to take the class.

2. Hush; Ousevale Ocean Breeze at Benrowan, nice young bitch, just starting to mature and come together, good bone and tight feet, strong body and correct topline and tail set, good coat and shown in excellent hard condition which showed in her movement.

3. Harding; Evening Red Sky at Night.

Open

1. Brown; Sansue Love Note at Louellabrook, feminine bitch with a pleasing head and expression, nice flowing lines from neck along level topline to tail set, good depth through the ribs and strong short loin, covered in a good weatherproof coat, she covered the ground well on the move to take BOB

2. Foreman; Ambersun Heart and Soul, heavier in head but had good eye and pigment colour that went with his darker coat, good bone and body, moved well in profile but needs to tighten up when viewed from the from and rear.

3. Harding; Evening Red Sky at Night.

ITALIAN SPINONE

Puppy

1. Coldwell; Lucoru Perpetual Spring, nicely balanced in outline holding the correct topline, both stacked and on the move, with good bone and feet. Pleasing head and expression, kind eye of good colour, strong neck with good depth of rib. Correct coat texture. Moving out well and with drive. BP and Puppy Group 4

2. Bovio; Princess Pea, Promising puppy, nice head and expression, good body and hard condition with correct close fitting harsh coat, not as positive on the move as my winner and feet need to tighten.

3. Wagh; Dewdhala Sempre Agnese.

Post Grad

1. Bovio; Ilsolo River Island JW, so well balanced, very feminine head and expression with nothing overdone, strong short neck, liked her forechest and depth of ribcage, showing the correct topline well boned limbs with good feet, correct coat. Moved soundly whilst holding her outline, easy winner here taking BOB

2. Munro; Talpalupo Monello, another nice bitch, well put together with pleasing head and expression, not as good in coat as my winner and lost out on movement.

3. Banks; Dalebourne Kore

1. Lea; Piccolonoce Vanilla Crunch, feminine head and expression, she is strong and mature through her body with the correct coat, good bone and feet and moved with drive and purpose holding the correct topline, lots to like but not the hard condition of my PG winner. RBOB

2. James; Inostricani Fianna; nice head and expression, good neck and body, good bone and feet, not as good in coat as my winner and lost out on movement.

3. Barratt; Piccolonoce Monty Bojangle

IRISH SETTER

1. Box; Bardonhill It’s Now or Never for Fernstart, just 6mts and a real baby, lovely lean head and kind expression, everything as you would want it at this age with a lot of growing and maturing to do. Moved well when he settled, BP and BOB.

COCKER SPANIEL

Puppy

1. Taylor-Kistner; Merry Cocktails Spice of Life at Frieljoanipa, Lovely young bitch, full of life, excellent overall balance and type. Good head, dark expressive eye with good pigment. Deep chest with tight elbows and well sprung ribs, short coupled into well- muscled hindquarters. Moved with drive to take this class and BP, then Puppy group 2

2. West; Jamesfield just A Star at Sheigra, another very nice puppy, well put together with good bone, nice head and expression, just needs to drop in brisket, moved well with lots of drive.

3. Turner; Lochranza Celtic Spring

Post Grad

1. Brothwell; Wissant Uptown Girl, nice head and expression, good body with lovely coat and shown in excellent condition, moved well to take this class, lovely tail action.

2. Stokes-Harrell; Villaspaniol Pixies for Chezza’s another promising young bitch with lots to like, shown in good condition, moved well just needing time to mature.

3. Taylor-Kistner; Black Lord Wildest Dream at Frieljoanipa

Open

1. West; Sheigra Simply A Star JW, today she was my star, lovely chiselled head and expression, clean neck into well-developed chest, good topline and tail set that she held on the move, shown in full silky coat, loved her merry tail action as she drove around the ring, pleased to award her BOB and Group 2

2. Brothwell; Wilanorah Ticket to The Moon at Wissant, loved this dog’s merry nature and zest for life, although I think he made his handler work hard today, liked everything from his head to tail and moved with such purpose, RBOB

3. Marshall; Wissant Very Special Agent

ENGLISH SETTERS

Puppy

1. Parrish; Tawnymeade Tacazze Sunbird, feminine head with dark expressive eyes, long elegant neck and good body, long silky coat and shown in good condition, still needing to tighten up on the move, but this should come as she matures, moved well in profile, BP

1. Arkley; Tattersett Blue Lord, young male with a nicely balanced head, dark oval eyes with gentle expression. Shown in full coat and feathering, in good condition. Clean outline, good depth to brisket and straight firm topline with muscular loins, straight front legs and hocks, good feet and moved well once he settled. BOB

2. Taylor; Bumblecorn Ash of Tattay, mature male and shown in full coat, has a lovely head and expression, elegant yet possesses good bone and feet, moved with purpose but not the same outline of the winner. RBOB

3. Williamson; Hawklawn Jazzella

AVNSC GUNDOG

Puppy

1. Shipton; Heartwood Mishules All Is Possible with Calico, (Field Spaniel) noble well chiselled head with a gentle expression, good length of neck and well bodied up, good bone and feet, shown in excellent condition and moved well to take this class, BP and puppy group 3

2. Dummett & Vikhrova; Nova Story Boogie Woogie, (American Cocker) mature young dog, shown in full coat and excellent condition, lovely head and soft expression from his dark eye, good bone and body, firm topline, just not as tidy on the move from behind but moved well in profile with good tail carriage.

3. Wallington; Ferndel Renzo at Rovinjdal (Welsh Springer)

Junior

1. Walker & Roberts; Gloi Dubh Lady Muck, (Flatcoat) very nice young bitch, nice head and expression, good ear set, clean neck and good body, shown in excellent condition, still needs time to mature, but good bone and coat and moved well to take this class

2. Shipton; Heartwood Mishules All Is Possible with Calico

3. Bell & Maddox; Brent Deville’s Advocate at Owlspoint (Pointer)

Post Grad

1. Bell & Maddox; Brent Deville’s Advocate at Owlspoint (Pointer) nice head and expression, clean neck and good body, correct bone and feet with slight slope to pastern, shown in excellent hard condition, he had settled and moved much better in this class.

2. Shipton; Heartwood Mishules Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (Field spaniel) young dog that is going to take time to mature, lots like about him but needs to tighten throughout, moved well but lacked the drive of my winner.

1. Walker & Roberts; Gloi Dubh Just One Look (Flatcoat) Loved this dog from the moment he came into the ring, lovely head and expression, flowing neck into clean, well-conditioned body and finished with a quality of coat and furnishings. Well off for bone without being coarse and strong feet, moved well with a nonstop tail to take the class, BAV and Group 1

2. Bell & Maddox; Whitgun Renegade Master at Owlspoint JW, (Bracco) handsome young dog just starting to mature, liked his noble head and gentle expression, he is a picture of power and strength, good bone and feet, good spring of rib and shown in excellent condition, moved well covering the ground with effortless ease.

3. Slack; Bonapartist Snow Goose (Brittany)

AV GUNDOG VETERAN

1. Bradley; Highforce One Vision (Vizsla) lovely bitch shown in excellent hard condition, feminine head, good bone and body, tight feet and correct coat. Moved the best to take this class and BV

2. Fawcett; Helenwood Cool Breeze VW (Cocker) lovely head and expression, clean neck and good body, good bone and feet, just carrying a bit too much condition but moved well.
