Anscombe’s Blenheimstar’s Taliesan Of Jraygon. Bulldog D. 2 years. This R/W youngster was on absolutely top form. Good square front. Pleasing head properties of good length containing clear dark eyes. Well set, neat rose shaped ears. Good reach of neck. Strong, sturdy bone throughout. Fit and healthy he moved superbly. Clearly a very popular winner having gained his 2nd CC the day before I was told afterwards.

Reilly’s Ch/Swiss/Ir/Multi/Int Ch Lisjovia Boris Bear At Darmaror JW ShCM ShCEx CW19, Pyrenean Mountain Dog. D. 8 years. I have given this dog top honours before and once again, his placing could not be denied. He clearly belies his age. Produces a lovely profile. I just love those soft brown eyes! A joy to see him moving effortlessly around the ring.

Best Puppy In Show

Mooney’s Chesterton Vancouver Border Terrier D. 8 months. Smart youngster with the best of heads being so typical having lovely eyes aiding that appealing expression. Good reach of neck, set on well-placed shoulders with good return of upper arm. Pleasing length of body and well developed hindquarters for his age. In good harsh jacket. Careful, sound true mover.

Ellis’s Philoma Wicked. Giant Schnauzer. B. 9 months. Pleasing balanced head giving typical expression. Correct for neck and shoulders. Secure topline. Super character giving 100% to her handler. Appealing for outline. On the move she comes into her own. Coat nicely developing.

Bryant’s Kilnrae Hallmark JW Gordon Setter, D. 7 years. In super coat and condition. Liked his size and overall shape. Well bodied. Holds a secure topline both when stacked and on the move. Tail is well set. Typical head shape portraying a lovely expression from dark eyes. Moved superbly.

Lock’s Romanico Bacctu Clarricks JW. Boxer. B. 20 months. Very impressive on the ‘go around’. Square in outline. Well laid back shoulders; deep chest. Balanced bone. Correct topline. Strong rear angulations and firm hocks. Tail is well set. Impressive, sound mover.

1. Burrage’s Komidion Sonata For Sametova JW. B. 2 years. Feminine, well balanced and of nice proportions. Liked her head and eyes, Typical topline which aids the impressive profile on the stand. She was rather unsettled on the move but gave glimpses of sound true movement. BOB.

2. Burrage’s Sametova Bacary, D. 4 years. Another nice one. In super coat and condition. Decidedly masculine but not overdone. Impressive head. Well shaped eyes. Good ears. OK for neck. Moved steadily. In super condition. Close call.

1. Redman’s Puddockswell Little Fig, B 17 months. She immediately attracts attention. A real show girl. Balanced head of super proportions. Expressive dark eyes. Good for reach of neck; typical topline. Presented in great coat. Liked her size. Moved really well. BOB.

1. Edgington’s Diamondandie Earl, D. 2 years. Balanced head; eyes could be darker. Good for neck. Enough bone. Would prefer better topline. A tad unsettled on the move.

1. Kenyon’s Ceilmear Close Encounter. D. 3 years. Happy character. Well-proportioned head. Dark eyes. Correct bite. Good dentition. OK for neck and shoulders. Well bodied with enough curves. Totally unsettled on the move and clearly did not enjoy the grass surface.

1. Mann & Keogh’s Niatona Sexy Seventy To Asteraceae. B. 11 months. Broad skull. Dark eyes with ears well set. OK mouth. Body close-coupled; deep brisket. Hindquarters well assembled and proved strong rear drive. Front to settle.

Post Graduate 3

1. Rowland’s Bilrosestaff Shes The One. B. 3 years. Balanced head gives typical expression from round well set eyes looking straight on. Good for nostrils. Strong finish to jaws. Clean front; good feet. Plenty of width to front and decent feet. Well ribbed but could be a tad shorter coupled. Moved out well which gave her the edge in the challenge. BOB.

2. Turner’s Matrixstaff Moon dancer At Tidestaff B. 19 months. Broad feminine head with short foreface and strong set jaws. Super black coat Good for neck and shoulders. Well sprung ribs; strong loins. Moved OK. Close call.

1. Turner’s On The Hill Two At Tidestaff. B. 6 years. Brindle/white. Good head and ears, decent length of muzzle; good dentition. Enough bone. Ribs are well placed. Could be shorter coupled. Well-presented coat. Completely out moved 2.

2. Mitchell’s Chedanstaff Devil Star. D. Owner left the ring before the awards and critique were made.

1. Tadhunters Otto The Maverick Prince. D. 6 years. Excellent coat texture. Good head with short muzzle all aiding a lovely expression. Neck with good reach of neck. Strong bone, lovely short tail. Produces a super outline when stacked, well-muscled lady in great shape for her age. Moved well. Stood alone but delighted to see her shortlisted in the Terrier Group. BOB.
