Stroud & District Canine Society 80th Anniversary Show

Having supported this show in the early days of Stratford Park Leisure Centre in Stroud, I was delighted to be invited to be amongst the special judging panel of those that supported the Society all those years ago. Congratulations to Celia Vines on her dedication to this Society and I wish her a happy retirement and huge thanks for her massive contribution.

French Bulldog

Junior 3

1. French’s Bincombefarm Serpensortia JW. B. 15 month pied bitch. Well shaped head, typical bat ears, dark eye and a well-padded muzzle aiding a lovely expression. Super nostrils. Well assembled front. Good pasterns. Compact body with well sprung ribs. Well angled hindquarters. Very positive on the move. BOB & G1 and was told later she has already been awarded a CC.

2. Hucker’s Best Frenchchie Mana at Bevanray. B. 10 months. Another scoring in head qualities being feminine with slight wrinkling supporting a lovely expression. Good for ears. Moderate length of neck, well sprung ribs, sturdy back with slight rise over the loin. Preferred the overall movement of 1. BP & PG4.

1. Hucker’s Bevanray Terrypendray JW D. 2 years Brindle pied. Attractive head with slightly domed forehead. Super muzzle. Beautiful dark eyes. Super dark eyes. Good for topline. Hindquarters well angulated; short strong hocks. Well set tail. Moved really well.

2. French’s Bincombefarm Morsmordre JW. 15 months, another impressive young male, balanced with good proportions. Square, masculine head, dark eyes, well-padded muzzle and correctly shaped ears. When standing produces an impressive outline. Positive on the move but just prefrred forehand of 1. Presented in super condition.

1. Williams’s Cairnbraid Onwaba Lukimbi Of Gladsheim (Imp Bel). D. 9 years. Smart and well balanced. Head OK. Well placed front. Super forequarters with well laid shoulders and return of upper arm. Sufficient fore chest. Well sprung ribs and has depth to chest; secure topline. Moved very well. BOB.

2. Harvey’s Kerfkooiker Gynn At Folkshire. D. 2 years. Super coat. Pleasing head, dark eyes and correctly set ears. OK for body. Correctly set tail and carried well. Moderate rear anglulations. Close call. RBOB.

1. Copper’s Violis Poetic Haiku For Copellastar. B. 14 months. Liked her size and balance. Impressive head proportions which contain dark expressive eyes. Neat front assembly. Body has well sprung ribs. Nicely angulated throughout, producing easy, accurate movement. Correct, harsh wiry coat. BOB.

2. Saunders’s Cleopatra Thea B. 12 months. Feminine. Clean head and muzzle, high set ears. Body is well ribbed. Strong drive produced from well angulated hindquarters. Preferred front assembly of 1. Presented in top condition.

1. Gilkes’s Zeeva Love & Pride, D. 7 months old. Presented in fabulous coat and condition. He scores in head qualities enhanced by beautiful eyes. Good for neck and shoulders. Sturdy front with straight forelimbs. Body is well ribbed and topline secure. High tailset. Smart and decidedly eye catching on the move. BP & PG1.

1. Bradshaw & Symons’s Ch Cremefern Trigger A Storm At Symaraju JW. Judged him as a youngster and pleased he has fulfilled his early promise when gaining his Champion title. He is smart, proud and accurate on the move. Head is worth a second look, which portays such a lovely expression. Balanced, arched neck. His front assembly produces an easy forehand and hindquarters aid strong rear drive. Super coat and condition. BOB & G2.

Puppy 1

1. Quest & Conibere’s Back In Black With Devontibs D. 11 months. Liked his head qualities and expression. Body is well ribbed; good bone for age. Black coat of correct texture. On the move he is eye catching, accurate and maintains a pleasing out-line. BP.

Post Graduate 3

1. Rice’s Ricox I Love My Mini Me JW. B. 2 years. She has a typical head of correct proportions, containing lovely eyes giving such a beautiful feminine expression. Correctly placed shoulders below enough neck. Neat front. Body has a good spring of rib and is balanced in length. High set carried well on the move. Covered the ground with ease. Reserve BOB.

2. Clover’s Chenrezi No Ordinary Love. D. 5 years, mature and well made. Sound, well-constructed and moderate throughout, nicely shaped dark eyes in a well-balanced, appealing masculine head. Well ribbed. Not happy on the move today.

1. Quest’s Lililian Loius Vuitton JW ShCEx (Imp Fin). D. 7 years. I have judged before and he never fails to impress. Masculine without being overdone. Super eyes and finish to foreface. Loved is body proportions and ribs. Presented in fabulous coat. On the move he demonstrates a sound free action and he was so happy with it all! Pulled out all the stops to win a hotly contested class. BOB & G3.

2. Rice’s Ch Ricox Somebody To Love JW ShCM Sh CEx VW. B. Another lovely one I have judged before and admired. Excels in type and outline. Eye catching in profile. Presented in fabulous condition.

1. Nash’s Antiquarius Gabriel . Black male with very correct outline. Beautiful head with good dark eye and excellent pigment. Well placed shoulders and good angles front and rear. Animated movement showing positive reach and drive.

1. Nash’s Antiquarius Clio JW. B. So well balanced with the defined head. Dark b almond eyes which sparkled. Stylish and sound throughout. Moved effortlessly around the ring in light, free style. BOB.

She so well balanced with adequate length of leg, super coat and she shows to best advantage. Head with attractive expression, super eyes and well set ears. Moved really well. Reserve AVNSC, Best AVNSC Puppy and PG3.

2. Taylors’s Villanders Mr President, Poodle (Standard), D. 10 months. Black coat of good texture for age, has a lengthy neck. OK head. Well sprung ribs with a firm topline. Well bent stifle and low hocks. Moved freely.

2. Monks’s Rozibon Adventure Begins, Germal Sptiz (Mittel), D. Attractive 14 month old. Good for proportions. Straight front and tight feet. Pricked ears and good neck and level topline. Moved really well.

1. Monks’s Moons Rocks Cross My Heart at Rozibon German Spitz (Mittel), B. 3 years. Impressive feminine wedge-shaped head with moderate stop, small erect ears; nicely arched neck. Moderate lay of shoulders, compact short body. High set tail. Steady, confident mover. Best AVNSC.

Dark oval, expressive eyes and high set medium sized ears which she carried well. Correct front with moderate bone, well laid shoulders and typical forelegs. Secure back with good spring of rib. Moderate turn of stifle to her rear with excellent muscle and good strong hocks.

2. Quests Chenrezi Another Love JW ShCM VM. Tibetan S. 10 years. B. Different in type to 1. Pretty head with lovely dark eyes. Well laid shoulders. Upper arm of correct length. Deep chest and well ribbed. Great coat and condition. Super mover, covering the ground effortlessly.
