My class winners were:

Pointers

Oddie, Dyer & Erskine’s Sharnphilly Elis Mo to Riowood. The first of two classy youngsters from the kennel. Really fills the eye when stacked and she doesn’t disappoint upon handling. Feminine, well-balanced head, good nose pad. Excellent forehand with oval bone and the best of feet. Short coupled and well angulated. Should do very well with maturity.

Oddie’s Riowood Tick Tick Boom to Sharnphilly. Slightly older than her kennel mate and a real prospect I would guess. Classy head with slight dish, large nostrils, lovely kind expression. Lengthy, clean neck and good shoulders. Good depth of brisket and well ribbed back. Has some strength over the loins. Well angulated and she displayed some drive on the move. Best Puppy and I was delighted to learn that she won the Gundog Puppy Group under Cheryl Hill and then Reserve BPIS under Vanessa Bryant. Sincere congratulations.

Astbury’s Raigmore Leap of Faith to Dorbury. Pleasing masculine head and expression, good open nostrils. Good depth of brisket. Decent oval bone. Short coupled and presents a nice outline when stacked. Good profile action but his hind action let him down slightly today.

Weaver’s Dappeline Chance for Anniezu. BOB. Strongly made and masculine with a kind, gentle expression. Clean over the neck and shoulders. Good bone. Well ribbed with some strength over the loins. I would like a little more depth of brisket. Very good hindquarters with good muscle tone and this gave him a smooth, driving action.

Spaniel (Irish Water)

Bannister’s Ta An Neifinn at Banysun. Alone today but she has a definite air of quality. Feminine and compactly made, good sized skull and well-set ears. Good eyes with a lovely friendly intelligent expression. Good forehand with decent breadth and depth of chest. Ribs extend well back. Free moving and her good coat was presented in first class condition.

Spanish Water Dog

Kehoe’s Valentine De Canagua (Imp Esp). Just 8 months but assured and outgoing and she did impress me on the move where she displayed some drive. Good head planes, strong neck and well laid shoulders. Good depth of chest and well ribbed for age. Well balanced and very typical.
