Shetland Sheepdog

1. Rutterford’s Myter Black Tarquin at Stormhead. 6 mth tricolour dog who appealed for overall type and outline with good neck, firm topline, good length to ribcage and correct for set and carriage. Proportionate head with very nice expression; correct stop, excellent ears and nice dark eyes. Good angles front and rear and stands on correct feet. Goes well in profile. Just needs to firm in front. Best Puppy.
2. Yaxley’s Lavika The Perfect Storm. 8 mth tricolour bitch who was not at all relaxed and therefore didn’t show the best of herself. She pleased for type and was good to go over. Neck of good length to balance, level back and tail set on low. Feminine headpiece with good proportions and planes. She stands straight in front on oval-shaped feet but unfortunately wasn’t co-operating on the move.

1. French’s Skeldale Wish Upon A Star over Lindfern (Imp Nld). Somewhat varied class which saw this 12 mth old sable bitch come out on top. Out of coat but for me a comfortable winner. Feminine throughout, she presented a pleasing outline with nicely arched neck, firm topline, ribcage carried well back and tail good for both set and carriage. Most attractive head with feminine expression; good planes and proportions and super eye and ear. Moved freely all through.
2. Stock’s Shemist Summertime Blue’s. 22 mth old blue merle dog who presented a nicely balanced outline and was pleasing to go over. Muscular neck, level topline, excellent ribbing, correct slope to croup and tail set on low. Pleasing head proportions and flat cheeks but eye and ear not quite that of winner. Stands well naturally and has good feet. Moving well on the go around and true when going away. Good quality coat.
3. Taylor & Yuille’s Shelridge Quizmaster at Chelmermead

1. Rutterford’s Kelgrove Midsummer Blue at Stormhead. Rather varied class which saw this 5 yr old blue merle dog as my winner. He appealed for type and presented a balanced outline with nicely arched neck, firm topline, excellent ribbing, muscular loin and tail set on low and of correct carriage. Pleasing head with good proportions, eyes a tad rounder, flat cheeks and good underjaw. Soundly constructed and moved freely all through.
2. Dimmock’s Shougies Secret Agent for Fernhill. 3 yr old tricolour dog who was good to go over. He’s a tad longer in back than the winner but has an excellent neck, level topline, pleasing rib and tail set on low and of good carriage. Masculine headpiece with good proportions and planes, a touch more stop than that of the winner, very good ears and dark eyes but like the winner they are a little rounder. Good angles both ends and moved well all through. Good coat and presentation.
3. Kennedy’s Oakcroft Aurora Dream at Donbeley

1. French’s Ch Lindfern Light Sabre JW. 6 yr old sable dog who scored for type and presented a super outline with nicely arched neck, firm topline, good depth to chest, ribbed well back, muscular loin and tail correct for both set and carriage. Quality head and expression; flat skull which is proportionate in length to that of muzzle, correct stop, expressive eyes, excellent ears and good underjaw. Correct angulation both front and rear and stands true in front on correct feet. Moved out freely and went particularly well on the go around. BOB.
2. Colman-Smith’s Kyleburn Sibylla at Shelridge. 6 yr old sable bitch. Feminine throughout and presenting a well balanced outline with good neck, firm level back, nice spring of rib, correct croup and tail set. Attractive head with good skull to muzzle proportions, flat cheeks, and excellent eye and ear. Well laid shoulders and stands straight in front on oval-shaped feet. Displayed great freedom of movement. Very well handled. Reserve BOB.

1. Cook’s Boese Jiggerlotti. 7 mth old brindle bitch of pleasing type and presenting a balanced outline. Nicely arched neck, short back with slight slope and ribbed well back. Feminine head which is still to fully develop, pleasing eye, good mouth and underjaw. Pleasing angles front and rear but obviously still to develop in forechest. Moves out well on the go around with particularly good front extension. Best Puppy and Reserve BOB.
2. Longley’s Limkyns Moonlight Tango with Attomic. 12 mth red bitch. Neck of good length to balance, short back with slight slope from withers to croup, pleasing rib, muscular loin and tail of good carriage. Dark expressive eyes but preferred expression of winner. When gaiting she is foot perfect on the down and back but could not quite match profile action of 1.

1. Peck & Ames’ Winuwuk Line of Duty for Enesha. Coming up to 2 yrs this brindle dog pleased for overall type, carries good bone and presented a nice square outline. Muscular neck, firm topline with slight slope, ribbed well back, strong loin and tail of good carriage. Masculine head with good skull, distinct stop, expressive eyes and good underjaw. I would like to see a tad more depth to chest but he moved out well on the go around.
2. Taylor’s & Lay’s Wivendene Summer Tyme with Swiftwood. 3 yr old red bitch carrying good bone who presented a nice square outline with muscular neck of good length to balance, straight back with slight slope, pleasing rib, short loin and tail of good carriage. Feminine headpiece but preferred expression of winner. Standing on good feet but would like a tad more breadth in front. Moves pretty well all through.

1. Wheeler’s Olibetay Bella Rose at Hipkins JW. 3 yr old brindle bitch. This girl appealed for overall type and presented a nicely balanced outline with arched, muscular neck, short straight back with slight slope from withers to croup, deep brisket, short loin and good tail for set and carriage. Feminine headpiece but no suggestion of weakness; well proportioned, expressive eyes, good ears and nice breadth to jaw. Pleasing angles front and rear and stands straight in front on super feet and has a well-developed forechest. Moves freely all through. BOB.

1. Downs’ Optimus Mulberry. 3 yr old fawn bitch who was a comfortable winner in this class for me. Carrying good bone and substance, she presented a nicely balanced outline with muscular neck, firm topline, deep chest, powerful loin and tail good for set and carriage. Feminine head with broad skull, pleasing eye and ear and broad underjaw. She stands well in front on good feet and moved out freely and went particularly well on the go around. Reserve BOB.
2. Smith’s Luna Day Dream. 2 yr old brindle bitch. This girl presented a pleasing outline but I would just have liked a little more of her all round. Good neck, firm level back, good length to ribcage and tail of correct carriage. Nicely proportioned head with expressive eyes and ears set on wide. Pleasing angulation both ends and she moved out freely. Well handled.

1. Thomas & Bull’s Phoria’s Seventh Heaven JW. 2 yr old fawn dog. Powerful lad with a super temperament and was good to go over. Muscular neck of correct length to balance, firm topline, deep brisket, well sprung rib, broad loin and tail good for set and carriage. Masculine head with broad skull, pronounced stop, expressive eyes, ear set on wide, well filled cheeks and nice broad underjaw. Pleasing angles front and rear and went so well on the go around and used himself at all times. BOB.

1. Harding’s Nordic Mastiffs Regal Queen of Wisdom in the Stars avec Mulaloo. 10 mth old fawn bitch, standing along here but I thought her most promising. Feminine all through and carrying good bone. She pleased in outline with slightly arched, muscular neck, firm topline, good ribbing, broad loins and tail correct for set and carriage. Attractive head of good proportions; good breadth to skull, expressive eyes, short muzzle and good dentition. She stands nice and straight in front with well developed forechest for age and has excellent feet. Moves out well with good length of stride and nice strong rear. Super temperament. Best Puppy.

1. Zadeh’s Morganlefay Yanomami by Faynad. 16 mth old brindle dog with lots to like. He impressed for overall type and size and carries super bone and substance. Strong, muscular neck, pretty good topline, deep brisket, excellent ribbing, broad well-muscled loins and tail good for both set and carriage. Masculine head with good breadth of skull between his well set ears, dark expressive eyes set well apart, short broad muzzle and excellent underjaw. Well made both ends, standing straight in front on good feet, well developed forechest, and firm, muscular hindquarters with strong hocks. Moving well all through and using himself as he goes. Reserve BOB.

1. Zadeh’s Faynad Mykola. 2 yr old fawn dog. Impressive lad who appealed for type and carries super bone. Excellent neck, firm topline, good depth and breadth to chest, ribbed well back, powerful loins and tail good for set and carriage. Masculine head of correct proportions, ears set on wide apart, excellent eyes, good depth to muzzle and correct dentition. Good angles front and rear, straight forelegs, good feet and well-muscled hindquarters. Great extension in front on the go around.
2. Reyhan’s Wiggenhall’s Eleanor. 2 yr old fawn bitch who presented a pleasing outline with strong neck of correct length to balance, level topline, good ribbing, muscular loins and tail of good carriage. Feminine head but expression not that of winner, perfect bite. She stands nice and straight in front on acceptable feet. Well muscled hindquarters with good turn of stifle. Moves true behind but 1 had the edge on the go around. Excellent temperament.

1. Burgoine’s Ch Hallbred Finbar. Two very different dogs challenged here and my winner was this 2 yr old brindle. Carrying good bone and plenty of substance, this lad was so good to go over. Masculine throughout, he scored in outline with muscular neck of good length, firm level topline which he holds at all times, deep brisket, excellent ribbing, powerful loin and good tail for set and carriage. Masculine head of good proportions with broad skull, expressive eyes, muzzle of good depth and breadth and good dentition. Soundly constructed, standing on excellent feet, and moved out steadily. Very well handled. BOB.
2. Zadeh’s Suncamo Naughty Boy at Faynad. 2 yr old fawn who wasn’t entirely settled. Masculine all through and carrying very good bone. Strong muscular neck, topline could be firmer, deep brisket and tail of good set and carriage. Masculine headpiece with good breadth to skull, ears set on wide apart and muzzle of correct length to balance. Well developed forechest. Tad erratic on the move.

1. Musk & Bingham’s Jezeve Jam Master Jay. Two pleasing pup competed here and I see they are littermates. This 9 mth old dog was my winner. Slightly arched neck, firm topline, ribcage carried well back and tail of good carriage. Masculine head with good breadth of skull, almond-shaped eyes, defined stop and good dentition. Standing well naturally. Moves true on the down and back but not quite extension of 2.
2. Rivett, Gibbard & Piggott’s Jezeve Love Junkie. Feminine youngster with good length of neck, topline just needs to firm a tad, rib developing well and tail of good set and carriage. Nicely proportioned head with good dentition but overall preferred expression of her brother. Stands true in front with pleasing forechest. Really moves out on the go around but 1 went better behind.

1. Watts & Gibbard’s Jezeve Hot Tottie. 9 mth old bitch who turned out to be from the same litter as the two puppy class exhibits. For me she won this class comfortably and has so much to like. Pleasing for type and outline with muscular neck, firm topline, excellent rib for age and short, strong loin. Feminine head with good breadth of skull, defined stop, good eye and ear and scissor bite. Soundly constructed and really opens up on the go around and used herself as she went. Best Puppy and Reserve BOB.
2. Peacock’s Hausmason Barby Rio. 22 mth old bitch. Feminine throughout with strong neck and firm topline but would like to see more development of chest. Nicely proportioned head with good breadth to skull, eyes of good colour but not quite shape of those of winner, scissor bite. Could stand tidier in front but she has a nice firm rear. Moves true when going away but winner had the edge overall when gaiting.

1. Vanson’s Pasko Du Temple D’Adranos von Tiesto (Imp Fra). 4 yr old dog who was good to go over. Masculine throughout and carrying plenty of bone. Muscular neck of good length to balance, firm topline, excellent ribbing, powerful loin and tail of good carriage. Skull of good breadth between his well set ears, well defined stop, dark expressive eyes and good depth to muzzle. Pleasing angles front and rear and stands true in front on good feet. Powerful, free action. Well handled. BOB.
2. Rivett’s Jezeve Castaway. This 2 yr old dog also has plenty to like. He presented a pleasing outline with strong, slightly arched neck, firm topline, super rib, muscular loin and tail of good carriage. Masculine head but somewhat different to that of winner; good proportions, excellent eye and scissor bite. Standing straight with good breadth to forechest. Moves out well on the go around, true when coming towards but winner had the edge going away.
Siberian Husky

1. Cunningham’s Siberiadrift Daring Minx from Icebex JW. 20 mth bitch. Moderate girl all round who pleased in outline with arched neck of correct length to give balance, level topline, good length to ribcage, muscular loin and tail of good carriage. Nicely proportioned head, well furred ears of good set, eyes a little rounder, scissor bite. Good angles front and rear and stands straight in front on very good feet. Moved freely all through and was well handled here. Reserve BOB.

1. Wolfe’s Jewel In The Crown Snowflake of Engel with Dreamwolves (Imp Svk). Two very different Sibes challenged here. My winner was this 2 yr old bitch. Feminine throughout she pleased for overall type and is beautifully balanced. Moderate length of neck, firm topline, correct ribbing, well-muscled loin and tail good for both set and carriage. Quality head and expression with super eye and ear. Soundly constructed all through and moved out freely. BOB.
2. Samuels’ Shimani Love For Life. 3 yr old dog with a super temperament. Muscular neck, level back and good length to ribcage. Masculine head of good proportions but a little more stop, well furred ears which are set on high and correct dentition. He stands straight in front but is a tad broader in chest. Not quite action of winner but another so well handled and presented in lovely nick.

1. Samuels’ Lyfearon Have I Gone Mad. 3 yr old dog who presented a pleasing outline with good length of neck to balance, level topline, deep brisket, ribbed well back and tail of good carriage. Nicely proportioned head, high set well furred ears, pleasing eye and correct dentition. Standing well naturally on oval-shaped feet, moved true on the down and back but could open up more on the go around. Good coat.

1. Williams, Newtons & Slack’s Rarjo Macduff Making Waves with Megulcie. 8 mth old Portuguese Water Dog bitch who I have done well for previously. Quality youngster, scoring in outline with correct length of neck, firm back, slight incline to croup and tail correct for both set and carriage. Super head with feminine expression; good skull, eyes set well apart, well defined stop and scissor bite. Well made throughout, standing true in front and moved out well on the go around with good carriage.
2. Fisher’s Poppykins Golden Nuggett. 8 mth old red rough Chow Chow bitch who pushed the winner all the way. Typey girl, full of confidence and making the most of herself at all times. Quality head and expression; broad, flat skull, small ears set on wide apart and inclining forward, the very best of eyes, broad muzzle of correct length to balance, scissor bite and first class pigmentation. Well built all through and stands on super feet. Moved out with characteristic gait. Quality coat.

1. Webb’s Chifido Follow The Dream. 15 mth black rough Chow Chow bitch. This girl pleased for overall type and presented a lovely outline with slightly arched neck, short level back, excellent ribbing, nice short loin and curled tail set on high. Well proportioned head with super expression and excellent pigmentation. Correct angles front and rear and with such good feet. Moved out freely with good carriage. Offstanding coat of good texture.
2. Down’s Elessar Blue Diamond JW. 8 mth old blue merle Cardigan Corgi bitch. Most promising pup who was good to go over and presented a nicely balanced outline. Muscular neck, firm level back, rib developing well for age and carried well back and tail of good length and carriage. Feminine head and expression with good eye and ear and correct dentition. Pleasing forechest and front assembly. Moving freely all through. Super temperament.
