PGD/B (3,1)

1. Stephens’ Chalksville Made of Magic for Brightmeadow. 11 mth old dog who got the day off to a great start. He pleased for type, carries good bone, presented a super balanced outline and was a delight to go over given his correct construction. Quality headpiece; well proportioned with good planes, almond-shaped eyes of good colour, ears set on high, strong muzzle and scissor bite. Strong neck of correct length to balance, firm topline with gentle slope, deep brisket, muscular loin and tail good for both set and carriage. Standing straight in front on good feet and certainly didn’t let himself down on the move where I found him faultless. BOB & Best Puppy. I was pleased to see him again at the end of the day where it was a pleasure to award him Best Puppy in Show.

2. Malcolm’s Llynvees Amadeus. 2 yr old long coat dog. Completely different type to the winner. Clean neck of good length, firm topline, good depth to chest and ribcage extending well back. Head of good proportions and planes but more stop than the winner, eye of good colour but a tad rounder, ears set on high and scissor bite. Feet could be better. Moves pretty well on the go around but not action of 1.

OD (4,1)

1. Nolcini’s Ch Broadmaynes Eclipse to Nolmacdon JW ShCM ShCEx VW. 10 yr old dog who I have done well for previously. He is all male and carried good bone and substance and presents a well balanced outline. Muscular neck of good length, firm topline with gentle slope towards the croup, excellent ribbing, deep brisket, well-muscled loins and tail correct for both set and carriage. Masculine headpiece with good proportions and planes, expressive eyes of good colour, ears set on high, powerful muzzle and scissor bite. He stands true in front and has a well developed forechest. Unfortunately time is catching up with him and he had to settle for Reserve BOB today.

OB (2,1)

1. Wharton’s Strettonhill’s First Class. 2 yr old long coat bitch. Neck of good length to balance, firm topline but would like to see some slope, well ribbed back, good depth to chest and tail of good carriage. Well proportioned head with feminine expression, pleasing eye and ear and scissor bite. I would like to see more development of forechest and she could stand better in front. Moving ok when going away but front action not her fortune.
