My thanks to the officers and committee of the LCC for the kind invitation to judge this lovely show. Whilst we all got a bit soggy, it was great to have a spacious outdoor ring. Thank you to my two lovely stewards for their hard work and great company and to the exhibitors who brought their beautiful dogs. It was a highly enjoyable and very sociable day, thank you all.
Veteran D/B (5,2)
Lovely class of quality veterans.
1st Benton’s Ch. Brooklynson Jane Russell of Oakestelle VW 10 yrs shaded s/w and totally belying her years and in full bloom. Quality make and shape with lots of breed type. Balanced head of good length set on parallel planes and correct wedge shape, good length of neck and well angulated shoulders, good depth to brisket without cloddiness and bone proportionate to her size. Shapely body with firm hindquarters and sound hocks. Effortless on the move with a good length of stride and plenty of power in rear, well fitting coat. Combines activity and beauty. For BB I just preferred the sweeter expression and ear set of the youngster, RBB, BV, BVIS with the agreement of my co-judge
2nd Skinner’s Samhaven Time Is Money with Nikal a really sweet tri and another who at 10 years was in fine fettle. Retains a nice shape with a dense coat which fitted her outline well. Clean wedge shaped head of correct balance and a sweet expression, dark eyes set well and good ears, enough neck and balanced in angulation, liked her breed type, soundly constructed and moved around the ring well, presented in super condition.
3rd Collino’s Wicani Altitude at Imaginist tri male in fabulous coat and condition with a lovely masculine head with a strong underjaw, good eye colour and correct ear placement, well boned without coarseness, well muscled and angulated, carrying a bit too much body weight and rather deep through, whilst movement was sound, he didn’t have the lightness of the girls today.

Liked his length of head, well-blunted clean wedge and strong underjaw, flat skull, dark eyes with good expression, ears well carried and used, a little wide set. Bone good for overall size, enough neck and correct in body proportions and outline with strong hindquarters, excellent movement, correct tail carriage. RBD
22nd Skinner’s Ladnar Makeithappen with Nikarl a nice colour b/m in between coats at the moment. Little shorter in head than 1 but it’s well shaped with balance of skull and muzzle, good eye shape, colour and expression. Good reach of neck, correct shoulder placement, chest deep and ribs well sprung with good height to length. Strong rear and correct tail set. Moved out well, handled to get the best out of him.

Sets himself up so well. Masculine but not overdone, really liked his lovely clean length of wedge head, flat skull and moulded foreface. Eye colour and placement, ears and stop correct. Good length of neck well arched and fitting into a well angulated front with forelegs straight and good depth of chest, slightly longer than high with ribs well sprung, loin strong with rise, stifles well bent and hocks strong, good length of tail which was carried low. Free, forward reaching stride with good drive off low set hocks, silvery blue coat beautifully presented, well fitting and harsh with good undercoat. BD, BOB and BIS in agreement with co-judge. I really liked her head proportions and length, wedge shape, flat skull and correct ratios on parallel planes, eyes dark and expressive, obliquely set, correct ears, well used. Really good reach of arched neck giving a most appealing outline with proportions slightly longer than high and a gentle sweep over the loin, round bone and excellent forehand with well laid shoulders, strong and sound behind, tail well carried, elbows tight but plenty of freedom of stride, effortless gait with minimal uplift of feet and good hind drive, well presented, dense well fitting coat, BB, also RBOB, BP.
