Chelmsford & DCS Monday 6th May Thank you to the committee for the opportunity to judge at your lovely open show, hospitality was super and many thanks to my very efficient ring steward. Who kept the ring moving . I had some lovely dogs to judge today . Many thanks to the exhibitors for allowing me the chance to go over your lovely dogs. Long Haired Dachshund Open 1st Labbadax Kristiansand, what a lovely start to my day, mature lady, feminine head and expression, long muzzle with good strength in under jaw. Good front assembly, with prominent forechest and excellent keel. Very sound on the move with parallel hocks. BOB Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppy 1st Nuthouse Going For Gold, feminine puppy with plenty of substance, high set ears , reasonable long neck, kind expression with work below eyes, well constructed front with correct layback of shoulder and level back,movement was accurate and correct foot fall BOB & BPIB 2nd Asharaa’s She’s Magic To Azuli JW not as mature but has time, stands with straight front and well arched feet, good width to second thigh, needs chest to drop. Good muscle tone throughout. Moved with good side gait not as positive behind. Sp Yearling 1st Nuthouse Mastermind , brother to my best puppy, lovely strong male shown in super body condition. Strong bone , straight front , chest needs to drop. Good with to 2nd thigh and compact feet. Super on the move very free and accurate stride. RBOB AVNSC Gundog Puppy 1st Roanjora Cremant D’Alsace. IRWS Lovely outline on the stack ,10 months old , she is mature in body, good length and spring to ribs, level back and good finish to croup. Head broad and slightly domed skull, pretty expression, good finish to muzzle . What I loved and why she won class was her free and easy stride. She is very confident on the move , holding her level topline . BAVNSC puppy & Puppy Grp 2 2nd Teignvalkey Footprint At Juldene , ESS , what a lovey puppy ,I was especially taken by his head , masculine but what a kind and expressive, expression, well angulated front and balanced rear. Moved well with that springer swing , yes tail was a little high but will settle as he matures. 3rd Epsilon Adhara At Molokain. CC Retriever Sp Yearling 1st Quensha Remember The Name Valasarch, Irish Setter , this boy has matured very well, beautiful boy with raised brows and low set ears, kindest of expressions and well finished muzzle, lovely to go over, good length of neck ,shoulders well set, well sprung ribs. Rear end is strong , good width to second thigh and stifles well let down . On the move he was accurate on the up and down and good side gate . Lovely partnership between dog and handler . IRWS repeat of puppy 3rd Dexbenella Oasis Dream Of Chamford ESS Post Graduate 1st Adormidera Apache Rose At Cravessa, Spanish Water Dog , super moderate girl , medium size , flat skull , slight stop and kind expression. V shaped ears , short muscular body , moderate in rear angles, on the move very correct footfall , brisk and active . Coat of correct texture . Liked her a lot. 2nd Creamwood Silver Hawthorn, Labrador, nice male, very balanced when stood, liked his head, masculine but kind expression. Well set ears. In good body condition, well muscled rear quarters. Moved with drive and good side gait. 3rd oakleaf Manorbay Of Oakmarsh (Imp Deu) JW Open 1st Bazzy Inti Anka At MoloKain ( Imp Cze) ,CC Retriever well made male, wedge-shaped head so typy,small ears, enough length to neck, shoulders well set back and deep through rib cage. Strong muscular rear quarters, easy long stride, rear hocks parallel. Shown in super coat. 2nd Moontorn Better Half Of Me JW, Flat coat Retriever, beautiful girl, feminine head with pretty expression, slight stop and ears well set. Very nice to go over, she flows from her well-set shoulders to her good finish to croup. Shown in a silky coat and great body condition, moved with super reach and drive. Unfortunate to meet 1st on the day. 3rd Cravessa’s Bottoms Up JW. GSP Puppy 1st stood alone, only a baby, she is well balanced in a small package , she has all the basics there to grow on. Typy head with kind expression. Little raw on the move, as you would expect. BPIB & BOB Novia Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Sp Yearling 1st Tollisty Raudr, well put together 14 month male, liked the strength of this young dog , broad head, typy wedge shaped head, good expression , dense coat and correct white points, round feet with well arched toes . Moved very well with driving from rear hocks. 2nd Tollisty Shincha , good outline and good proportions to body , typy head with feminine expression, strong neck , shoulders well laid back , level topline , needs time to mature now , steady on the move. Postgraduate. 1st Acadiabyrne Tibetan Coral, liked him a lot, stood out for type and balance, head of good proportions, slight stop , large nostrils, triangular ears. Medium length neck , deep chest and balanced in angles front and rear, good double coat , correct white markings stood on tidy feet , lovely front reach , parallel movement showing single track . RBOB 2nd Tollisty Couldn’t Care Less, unlucky to meet 1st , another very typy bitch , head of correct proportions, shoulders well laid back , elbows close to body , ribs well sprung and strong muscular rear quarters. Another that covered the ground well . 3rd Tollelkin Dream Loch Open 1st Tollisty You Can’t Decline, medium size quality male, lovely balance when stood, typy in head, slight wedge appearance and well-set ears. Shoulder placement correct and good depth and spring of ribs. Straight front and tidy feet. On the move he had the action I was looking for, spring to his active stride, parallel front and rear and looked as if he could do a day's work. Delighted to award him BOB & Grp 3 2nd Raynechaser Luna Eclipse Beg Ex, mature male, typy in head and in good coat, liked his rear quarters, strong and muscular and he used them well on the move to cover the ground well. Cocker Spaniels Puppy 1st Reemif Sweet Heart , what a poppet, cobby in body, pretty feminine head with sweet expression, she had good front and rear angles, brisk on the move with that typical cocker action, shown in coat of silky texture. 2nd Plaiglen Daiquiri, loved her head, she just needs to strength through body as she dropped her topline on the move, slightly longer in loin than first m she moved with style and good rear action. Sp Yearling 1st Yokotai Queen Of Chaos, moved very well to win this class, typical cocker merry action, kept her level topline. Straight front, good bone and deep through brisket with good spring of ribs. 2nd Popbel Limited Edition very much liked her head, square muzzle and pretty expression. Low set ears and decent reach of neck, well set shoulders. Just not as positive in rear action today. 3rd Esqueen I’m Ironic For Babtonkelpie JW Post Graduate 1st Stobytill Bootylicious, quality girl, shown in lovely coat, loved her head, dark eye and lovely chiselling, level topline which she held on the move, good tail set and carriage, moved with style and typical merry cocker action. 2nd Yokotai Queen Of Chaos, Open What a lovely class and I am sure places could change on another day. 1st Stobtil After The storm , liked this male for overall type and size , compact dog . Head masculine without any coarseness, well developed skull. Low set ears. Straight front. Shoulder well laid and good spring to ribs, deep brisket and muscular rear quarters, movement was brisk and merry, tail carried well. Shown in excellent body condition and coat. BOB 2nd Rozamie Black Pearl Jessremjul, lovely typy girl , liked her a lot very close up to 1st , pretty expression, correct stop and square muzzle, long, low set ears. Super level topline which she held on the move, another who moved well with merry tail action and look at me attitude RBOB 3rd Esqueen Following Star At Babtonkelpie ( Imp pol ) JW , smart , quality cocker. Import Register Gundog Open 1st Corve Defiance, Barbet A medium size dog of moderate body proportions, balance and nothing overdone, coat of good texture, a little erratic to begin with on the move Best Import. AV Gundog Puppy 1st Roanjora Cremant De Savoie Evec Eusanit, typical IRWS puppy male , he is at that stage of legs and waiting for his body to catch up ,he does stack very well but won this class on his movement, long free easy stride, at one with his handler. 2nd Culverwell Magic Touch , English Setter, elegant puppy with masculine head and soft expression, moderate angulations and deep through brisket , not as positive on the move but carried himself well. 3rd Brainescroft Ravenclaw At Belleverantis GSP Postgraduate 1st Berrymeade A Fool In LoveOf Jasperleigh , lovely quality Golden Retriever, loved his masculine head , soft expression. Plenty of bone and substance, very impressed with his movement for one so young. 2nd Zorrazo Alter Bridge At Prizelands ,SWD moderate and balanced dog, so balanced stacked and moved with brisk strides and good footfall. 3rd Droveborough Mocha Mayhem Open 1st Wansleydale Amaretto At Latjeata , 7yr old elegant English Setter bitch, beautiful expression, good length of neck, shoulders well laid back and level topline. Rear quarters strong and moved very well. 2nd Evaluna Chasing Rainbows With Hookwood JW, pointer showing a lovely curvy outline, super angulated front, plenty of neck, head pretty with good but not overdone stop. Moved with style. Plenty of drive from rear quarters. 3rd Fynder Reacher IWS Veteran 1st Sh Ch Dexbenella Atticus Finch Shcm, stood away for quality and style, presents a super shape stacked, head of good type, broad skull, showing lovely chiselling which adds to the appeal of this boys expression. Good length of neck, straight front, balanced front and rear angulations. Loved the width to his second thigh. On the move he had that typical front swing that you want from an English Springer. Used his hocks really well to drive around ring. A pleasure to judge this male. Best Gundog Veteran 2nd Int Ch/ SRB Ch Serci After Dark At Shadow Amor Of Chamford ShCEx , what a merry little cocker, he is lovely for size and type, he presents a lovely outline stood , level topline which he held on the move , good substance with nothing overdone. He moved with a typical brisk action. 3rd Int/Multi Ch Nical Blue Diamond Among Ohanava Gundog Group 1st Irish Setter , Quensha Remember The Name Valasarch, 2nd Golden Retriever Mossburn Golly Miss Molly JW, very close decision, I loved her or size and type. Balanced on the stack, she stands over her ground , good substance and nothing overdone. Well laid shoulders, rear quarters are well muscled and she used them well to drive around the large ring. Quality girl. 3rd NSDTR, Tollisty You Can’t Decline 4th Pointer Heartbury Matador Gundog Puppy Group 1st Golden Retriever, Brekswood Gentleman Jack, loved this puppy, full of quality and substance, gorgeous head with the kindest of expressions, super body proportion and good height to length ratio. He has straight front and well laid shoulders. He moved so well for a puppy at the end of a long day.
