A challenging day with very windy conditions that affected many dogs. Many thanks to my two efficient stewards.

Lagotto Romagnolo

Puppy (1) 1st Lightfoots Rajo Del Carpino Nero. 10 month old with correct moderately broad head, round eye. Up on the leg at the moment and needs to balance out. Movement was erratic possibly due to the windy conditions.

Open (2) 1st Roberts Havana King Of The Truffle To Byphar (Imp) Squarely built bitch that appealed for size and type. Pleasing head. Short muscular neck into reasonable front angulation. Compact in body, strength over the loin. Moved with a free easy stride. BOB

2nd Lightfoots Gaesten Dannys Delight To Joydon. Has good depth to body, correct coat texture. A little erractic on the move today.

Open (1) 1st Allums Sh Ch Macarica Fair And Square JW. Super quality throughout. She has the most beautiful, typical head. square outline. Substantial but very feminine. Best of coats. She powered round the ring with a long easy stride, covering the ground so well. G2

American Cockers

Post Graduate (3,2) 1st Moonmist Ispy. Very balanced throughout. Head of correct proportions, expressive eye. Plushness to muzzle. Really good depth to body with elbows well under. A little long in back but held topline well on the move. Free easy mover. BOB

Open 1st Afterglow Bang Tidy. Super head and expression. Well angulated front and rear. Decent length of neck. Moved out well just dipping topline slightly today

2nd Luczynski Baladeva Scarlet Letters For Kanara ShCM ShCEx. Very feminine 8 year old. Retaining her good topline. Well made front and rear. Very unsettled in the conditions today.

Field Spaniel 

 Post Graduate 1st Hardings Kingsmist Remember Me 2 ½ year old liver male. Really liked his head and expression. He has a good frame but just needs that bit of maturity to fill out. Excellent bone. Would just prefer him to have a bit more drive and enthusiasm.

Limit 1st Hardings Kingsmist The Black Knight. Balanced in head with dark eye. Good topline, excellent spring of rib. A little unsettled on the move.

Open 1st Hardings Kingsmist Miss Marple JW. Very pretty bitch. Nicely constructed with quality in the head and kind eye. Moved freely with plenty of drive from the rear. BOB

Labrador

Puppy (5) 1st Perkins McFarwins Grey Legacy By Keeninspires. Super class of puppies. Upstanding yellow. He is a picture of balance and gives an overall impression of strength. I liked his broad head that also has overall balance and quality. Super depth throughout. Strong hindquarters with good width of second thigh. Moves with enthusiasm. BP

2nd Wightmans Langanhoe Lady Marmalade. Another pleasing youngster but in a smaller frame. She has balance throughout and is clean in outline. Deep in chest with excellent spring of rib. Positive footfall and has drive. Just preferred head of 1 today.

3rd Goodwins McFarwins Flashing Lights

Post Graduate (7) 1st Cary Langanhoe Liberty Bell In Aquadell. Very balanced throughout. Pleasing head with muscular neck into good forehand. Excellent depth, Moved out well.

2nd Wallace Dreamake For Tiaja JW (Imp DNK) Yellow bitch. Pleasing head, very clean in outline. Very feminine. Super topline. Well angulated front and rear. A little erratic on the move today

Limit (1) 1st Hobans Meadowleigh Turn Back Time. I really liked this three year old chocolate bitch. Presented a pleasing picture standing foresquare. Balanced head. She just lacked enthusiasm on the move today.

Open 1st Perkins Carromer Teguila By Keeninspires. Kind expressive eye. Masculine head, dark eye. Strongly built. Has excellent bone. Well placed shoulders with good forechest. Scores in rear with good width to second thigh. Coat of good harsh texture. Powerful mover. BOB

2nd Moodys Trendlewood Ebony And Ivory. Broad in head, dark eye. Built on strong lines. He was very enthusiastic about life today and movement was difficult to assess.

Puppy (3) 1st Carpenters Aschfahl Kepa Secret. Medium size. Has a balanced outline. Topline level with slight slope to croup. Very pleasing head. Moved well once she settled. BP

2nd Burgess Gamepoint Zoom By Hantzburg. Very feminine throughout. Scores in head. Just preferred rear movement of 1 today.

3rd Jefferies Rivertone Aurora Over Silbermeer

Post Graduate (3,1) 1st Heustons Parhelis Carrino. Three year old male. Liked his head and typical expression. Excellent depth throughout. A little wide in front when moving but sound.

2nd Jefferies Silbermeer Annie Get Ya Gun. Good length of neck into reasonable shoulders. Has a good spring of rib. Moving quite wide behind today.

Open (4,1) 1st Reakes Thrihyne Love Letters. Really nice to go over, moderate with no exaggeration. Feminine head. Enough bone, level in topline with well set tail. Moved straight and true, covering the ground well. BOB

Puppy 1st Allums Zakhans Sky Dancer Del Macarica. Just 7 months of age, very feminine throughout. Balanced angulation. Super head and expression. Nicely sloping topline. Stands on good feet even on a sandy surface. Moved steadily. Very promising BP

Post Graduate (5) 1st Prangles Clonageera It’s a New Dawn At Heathclare JW. Good class of youngsters.This is a bitch that you need to get your hands on to appreciate her qualities. Under the coat there is ample forechest with really good depth of chest. Elbows are well under her and has good spring of rib, ribs well back. Muscular across the loin. Moved out well.

2nd Clarkes Covarney Dream Time From Bronrians JW Close up to 1. A little stronger in head but still feminine. Presents a good outline. Muscular neck into well angulated shoulders. Super rear angulation, long from hip to hock. Good width of second thigh. Stylish mover.

3rd Rorkes Zakhans Diamond Queen JW

Limit (2) 1st Rorkes Zakhans Diamond Jack JW. racy outline and very balanced. I liked his lean head. Dark eye with kind expression. Clean muscular neck into well angulated front. He has excellent depth of chest. Slightly sloping topline. Good width to hindquarters. Really covered the ground well with plenty of drive from the rear. Super rich coat colouring. BOB

2nd Purves Grousehill Dream Boy. Upstanding male, well put together. He has good length of neck, good depth throughout. Strong topline which he kept on the move. Just preferred head of 1

Open (2) 1st Murrays Bluebyeyou Love Affair At Derrydore. Attractive masculine head, correct eye shape and colour. Just needs to relax in topline. Moved steadily. Rich chestnut coat.

2nd Foxs Kerryfair Special Diamond. Very feminine 6 year old bitch. Really liked her lean head of correct proportions. Nicely angulated front and rear. Her movement was affected by the windy conditions and she didn’t move as well as I have seen her before.

Post Graduate (2,1) 1st Hills Novaforesta In A Nutshell. Barbet 18 months. Large strong head. Of medium size. Level topline, well proportioned. Covered the ground well. Correct profuse coat with correct curl.

Puppy (7,1) 1st Tweedsmuir Moonflower Clumber Spaniel. Delightful 7 month old Clumber Spaniel. Was not bothered by the windy conditions at all and got on with the job in hand. Raw as you would expect but everything is in the right place. Really positive on the move and covered the ground well. BP PG2

2nd Tuckers Walshaw One More Night English Setter. Classic head on this orange boy. Kind eye with soft expression. Reachy neck into reasonable shoulders, good spring of rib. Excellent level topline, wide across the loin. Needs to tighten up on the move but very promising.

3rd Williams & Toublic Cobhay Heavenley Hydrangea English Springer

Post Graduate (2) 1st Scottings Ashrings Love Touch For Recondy. English Springer who was unfortunately a bit spooked at first by the wind. Compact in body, well angulated front and rear. He won this class on the move with his positive driving action.

2nd Gudgins Jassendue Usoa. Appealing head on this Brittany. Well set ears. Not the substance I was looking for and has a tendency to crab.

2nd Hydons Clentonian Pandemonium JW ShCEx OSW English Springer. Very typical in outline with soft expression. Compact body which is well proportioned, elbows well tucked in. Well sprung rib. Correct bend of stifle with good width of second thigh. Excellent compact feet even on the sandy surface. Super mover.

AV Gundog Puppy (22,12) 1st Peebles Seasham Too Much Heaven. Really promising GSP btch. Only just 6 months but so together for her age. Strong in outline. Very balanced front & rear. So positive on the move. She obviously needs to grow on but I’m sure she has a bright future ahead.

2nd Rolf Parker & Hipkiss Skysaria Blaze Of Hope. Super quality Duck Toller who took my eye in the puppy group. Unfortunately something spooked him and he went to pieces on the move.
