LABRADOR RETRIEVR GRADUATE (8,3)
1/ Hibbs BINNAIG BLISSFULL. Typy yellow bitch, balanced in outline and enough length of leg, would prefer a bit more bone on her and a bit flat on her pasterns at present. Lovely head and soft expression, good reach of neck and front angulation, correct coat and tail. Won here on her more positive movement.
2/ Gardner REWARI EDWARDO. Nice shape to this young male, good length to his leg and corresponding depth of body, balanced head with soft expression, good coat and tail, just couldn’t get into his stride today
3/ Gilroy CLAYCHALK COSTA MONETA
LABRADOR RETRIEVER OPEN (6,3)
1/ Gardner REWARI EMILY. Smaller black bitch with lots to like, good balance to her head and soft kind expression, a little bit throaty but good length to her neck and well laid shoulders with correct length and return of upper arm which allowed her to show good front extension and length of stride in profile. Correct coat and tail, just preferred her overall shape and type for BOB.
2/ Gilroy CLAYCHALK COSTA YEN. Appealing yellow dog with many breed virtues, up to size with balanced outline, good bone and strength through his body, correct coat and tail although he was a little bit proud of it today. Not quite as accurate in movement as 1.
3. Pollock POLLHAM PRETTY IONA
ENGLISH SETTER OPEN ( 7, 3)
1/ Vallance ROWANMYLE WAS A SKELLUM. Lovely class headed by 2 blue belton males. This boy has a lovely shape, gorgeous head and gentle expression, well angulated both ends with good depth to his rib cage. Lovely tail carriage and in good condition. Very accurate in footfall and fluent movement, just pipped the younger dog on maturity and a bit more substance. BOB and G3
2/Vallance ENNYDLOC YORKSHIRE LIAISON TO ROWANMYLE. Very similar qualities to the winner, so little to separate them other than the strength in body and movement that comes with age, he is definitely one for the future and held his topline a bit better than his older kennel mate. I will watch his progress with interest.
3/ Vassie ROWANMYLE BONNIE LASSES
GORDON SETTER GRADUATE ( 3,2)
1/ McFarlane ARDNADAM WILLOW COPPICE. Junior bitch on the smaller side and still needs to mature and drop in body. Attractive head and expression, good overall construction and balance in angulation, little bit steep in croup. Free flowing movement.
GORDON SETTER OPEN ( 5,2)
1/ Miller LIRIC JUST THE TICKET Handsome, upstanding dog who is masculine without being course. Plenty bone and substance, good front construction and depth through the body, well ribbed up and good on the move. Just preferred his better front and maturity in body over 2. BOB
2/ Millar & Scobie YENNADON CALVAY. Lovely dog with lots to like, balanced and in very good coat and body condition, moved ok, a bit lighter framed than winner.
3/ Hogg GAILIECH NGALYOD
ESS OPEN (3,0)
1/ Wilson & Connor PINEREOCH NO STUNTS LARRIE. Another good class with each having their strengths. This is a very eye catching youngster, most appealing head shape and expression, well set ears. Balanced all through and very sound on the move holding his shape slightly better than 2 today. BOB
2/ Stevenson PEASBLOSSOM BROGAN AT GAOLACHCARA. Another very appealing male with lots of quality, lovely head and expression, really well constructed front assembly , well proportioned in body although not quite the maturity of winner, another sound free mover.
3/ Ganarin BERKENBAR GIOVANNI
COCKER SPANIEL GRADUATE (3,0)
1/ Neatham SHOOGSEA HEIR. Blue roan youngster, still a puppy but already mature in body with good ribs. Liked his compactness and size. Lovely balance to his head with good depth of muzzle although eyes need to tighten which slightly detracts from his expression. Plenty bone with good feet. Level topline and good tail carriage on the move. BOB
2/ MacLean LYNWATER BLACK AND BLUE Another nice blue roan male, lovely type with lots of quality, really liked his lovely head type and free positive movement, just preferred compactness of winner.
3/ Mason LYNSHOW NOVNA
COCKER SPANIEL LIMIT AND OPEN NO ENTRIES
GSP GRADUATE (5,0)
1/ Dodd LAGOPUSMOOR BLACK MANDALA . Real mix of type and size in this class. This solid black bitch was the most balanced and together today showing a lovely outline and athletic build. Nice head and expression, balanced angulation, good reach of neck and short back, moved out well on good straight legs and tight feet. BOB
2/ Thomson SARCOTTAH ENCHANTED. Has a lot of qualities but just at an awkward stage of development, lovely head and expression, good front angulation, a bit longer cast than winner and a bit untidy on the out and back but looked better in profile movement.
3/ McCafferty THORSCRAG ARORA
GSP OPEN (3,0)
1/ Dodd JHEBRONS JENO VIA ELFINDREW. Again, a mix of type in this class. Winner was cleaner in outline showing strength and athleticism and standing four square, good angulation both ends and in lovely condition, moved out well which won him the class.
2/ Garvey RICHTIG RAGDOLL . This bitch has a lovely head, well boned legs and very well constructed in front with good depth of body. She really wasn’t happy today which meant she dropped her topline and just couldn’t get going on the move .
3/ McCafferty THORSGRAG HADES
GWP OPEN (2,0)
1/ Chrystie BAREVE BEST DONE NOW Handsome boy of athletic build, well proportioned head showing balance between skull and muzzle, lovely eye shape and expression. Very good front with straight forelegs, good bone and standing four square. Well furnished although coat could be harsher, very animated and happy boy on the move. BOB
2/ Hills BAREVE BEST BY MAGIC . Litter sister to winner, similar type but not quite the quality in outline, lovely head. Very reluctant to move today.
HUNGARIAN VIZSLA OPEN (7,0)
1/ Legg & Scott Sh Ch OAKSWARREN PURE MAGIC A mixed class headed by 2 super dogs, both worthy title holders and very little to separate them. This bitch has the most beautiful head and expression, athletic and strong in build but still elegant, balanced angulation, good bone and feet, quality bone, lovely colour and in great condition. Doesn’t make the most of herself standing but when she moves her quality is there to see in her super outline , her footfall is accurate and she covers the ground effortlessly. BOB and G1
2/ Morton, Milicevic, Burns Sh Ch/Lux/Ir Sh Ch ANDRONJAS STRADALE . Very similar comments apply to this lovely boy, he is as male as she is feminine and also in great body condition. Felt he had the better shape standing and slightly better front but the bitch just edged it in movement and tail carriage today.
3/ Mason, Clubb OROSHAZA LUCY LOCKET
WEIMARANER SY(4,1)
1/ Balmer TRAPELEBA DIOR. All 3 still puppies and not much to choose between them at this stage. This bitch was a bit more balanced in her outline and a bit more strength to her underjaw than 2. Good bone and feet, nice proportions to her body with enough depth for age and moved well.
2/ Sayer & Wallwork BRAEFELL BLACKTHORN. Male who was a bit lighter framed all through, nice head shape, preferred his expression to winner, straight forelegs and good bone. Moved well enough for his age.
3/ Balmer TRAPALEBA CARRERA
WEIMARANER PG (5,2)
1/ Jamieson GREYSPIRIT KEPT ME WAITING. Liked the overall shape and balance of this dog, has a bit of size and substance about him but not coarse and has good proportions, good depth to his ribcage carried down to the elbow. Moved on a good stride.
2/ Sayer & Wallwork BRAEFELL BRIAR. Still a minor puppy and therefore giving away a lot in maturity but shows promise. Liked her shape and size, good feet, nice straight forelegs and moved on a free stride.
3/ MacLaine & Dickson GREYSPIRIT MYSTIQUE
WEIMARANER OPEN (8,1)
1/ MacLaine & Dickson GREYSPIRIT PURDUE 2 very nice bitches heading this quality class. This girl is nicely proportioned and has a lovely head and expression, excellent front and good length to ribcage carried down to her elbows, well boned, straight forelegs, good underline and tail carriage. Her movement is accurate and free flowing and she holds a lovely shape standing and moving. BOB, G4 and best gundog veteran
2/ Balmer MABANIKA OMEGA similar type and shape to winner and very much the same remarks apply, I note from the catalogue that they share the same sire. Winner just a bit stronger in topline and profile movement but I liked her very much.
3/ Alison ShCh SIREVA SURFER TO SILBERSTERN
AVNSC GUNDOG OPEN ( 19, 5)
1/ Knowles,Knowles & Glen BESSALONE SHAMELESS (It Spin) Cracking class with so many lovely dogs headed by this quality youngster. Very handsome, athletic male of lovely type, plenty of substance, good bone and feet, lovely headplanes and soft soulful expression, very good front assembly complemented by moderate rear, moved out well on an easy stride BNSC G2
2/ Vallance GLENCARRON SECOND EDITION TO CORCENCONE (IS) Young bitch who still has to finish but thought her very feminine and appealed greatly for type and overall shape. She has a beautiful head and expression, just the right amount of substance and lovely flow from head to tail, in super coat and condition.
3/ McCallum WEEMAES ALL ABOUT EVE (IWS)
AV GUNDOG PUPPY (18,4)
1/ Scotland ROSECOURT TUXEDO (CS). Super class. Loved this cocker puppy, square and compact with substance and good ribs. Excellent neck and front angulation and complementary rearend, nicely rounded with correct tailset, nicely proportioned head and good eye shape with soft expression, good bone and feet. Although a little unsettled on the move he got his act together enough to show his soundness and take this strong class.
2/ Miller CAFOTALIENA HEART OF A HERO (GS).Another super puppy of just 6 months. He has a lovely shape to him with some substance but still athletic in outline. Good bone and overall balance with a lovely head and eye. A bit excited today but when he settled down he was sound on the move. Liked him very much.
3/ MacKessock-Leitch CACI’S THE JEWEL OF JUNE AT INCHSTELLIE (FCR)
AV GUNDOG VETERAN ( 11,4)
1/ G. PURDUE (Weim)
2/ Mason & Clubb Sh Ch OROSHAZA CHUKAR (Vizsla). A dog of quality unlucky to meet the winner today. He has a beautiful head and eye, kind expression. Lovely overall shape and balance and in super condition moved very well holding his outline.
