DOBERMANN

Junior (2,0)

1st Mrs A Pardoe’s ARITAUR DARING AT DOBIEDAR. Super smart bl/r female, just 6mths 1 day on the day. Loved her strong bone and substance, and her square, well-proportioned and well-muscled body. Her head is a beautiful clean and well-filled wedge, with equal, level and parallel planes, length and depth to her muzzle, and good underjaw. The darkest of almond-shaped eyes are framed by correctly set neat ears, lying close to flat cheeks. Long dry neck arches elegantly into a well-laid shoulder matched by the upper arm, with ample forechest, good spring of rib and depth down to close-lying elbows. Excellent front, with straight legs set well under, short strong pasterns and well-arched feet. Her topline is firm and straight, sloping into a short strong loin, well-filled croup and good tailset. Pelvis is set correctly, into a balanced and lovely muscled rear with enough turn of stifle. Needs to strengthen a little in her hocks, which will hopefully come with age and conditioning. Clean and accurate on the move, but would like to see her lift her head and show more vigour – again, this should come as she grows in confidence and settles into her showing. Happy to award her BPIB and RBOB and see her take WPG2, and I will watch her career with interest.

2nd Mrs R & Mr D Bullen’s ARITAUR DREAMER. 6mths br/r female. Litter sister to 1st, of a taller frame and not quite the depth at this stage, but many of the same positive attributes. Another lovely head, presenting an elongated wedge from all angles, with good fill, well-set neat ears and a super expression. Very good front, with straight legs, good pasterns and a well-developed forechest. Decent shoulder, with upper arm of equal length and close elbows, into a tidy underline and good tuck-up. A little steep in her rear assembly, causing her to stand and move a bit ‘bum high’ at this stage, but this should correct as she matures and drops into herself. Hocks are nice and straight, with good muscling to her rear and tight feet.

1st Mr R Massey & Dr R McGeoch’s MANZART ZEBEDEE JW. 2yr old br/r male. Standard sized, square and balanced with good substance and muscling perfectly matching his frame. Very handsome head presenting the correct elongated blunt wedge, with clean equal parallel planes, moderate stop, good fill and flat cheeks. Typical expression from lovely dark well-shaped eyes and neat high set ears. He has a super reach of neck into a strong sloping topline and short firm loin, well-filled croup and correctly angled pelvis, matched by a tidy underline with well-sprung ribs and depth to elbow. Well-developed forechest, front angles are set slightly forward and he tended to stand a little wide in front, however no issues on the move where he came in well to display a balanced, sound and easy gait from all angles. Decent rear angulation with sufficient turn of stifle and good width of second thigh, would just like a little more strength in the hocks. Expertly handled, he never stopped showing and the rapport with his handler is lovely to see. BOB, and delighted to see him go on to take WG2.

2nd Miss L Wright’s AMAZON AMERICAN GRAFFITI WITH SEALANDAIR SHCEX. 7.5yrs Bl/r male. Another standard sized male, very masculine with ample bone and substance. A touch longer cast than 1st, but with good static balance from his well-angulated front and rear. Lovely strong head with parallel planes and a flat skull and cheeks. Super dark eyes give that proper Dobermann expression, with ears set very well but a tad long. He has a very good forechest and front set well under with elbows lying close, and a lovely long and lean convex neck into a clean wither. Croup, pelvis and tailset are all excellent. He is showing his age a little in his topline and rear, losing some strength in both, and he was favouring a rear leg slightly on the move. That aside, he moved out well showing very good reach at the front and covering the ground well.
