DOBERMANN

Puppy (1, 1abs)

Yearling (2,0)  1st Mr L Blackburn & Miss E Tait’s KNECT LITTLE RICHARD. 19 mths bl/r standard height male presenting a strong, square outline with ample substance and well-developed musculature. Very masculine head with correct ratios, deep slightly convex muzzle, with strong underjaw and tight lips. Well-filled under dark almond eyes, with neat well-sized and set ears lying close to clean flat cheeks. Strong nicely arched neck into slightly open front assembly, well-sprung ribs with good depth to brisket and evident forechest. Standing a little10-2 at the moment, although pasterns are short and strong and elbows tight. Tidy underline with good tuck-up, firm sloping topline and short loin, would prefer a little more fill to the croup, good tailset. Pelvis falls away correctly, into good rear angulation with super width to 2nd thigh and straight hocks. Very well-handled to display powerful movement, true from all angles, holding his topline and with good neck carriage. Best of Breed, and delighted to see him go on to take WG1 and ultimately RBIS.

2nd Mrs J Kent, Mr M Kent & Mr A Sutton’s KORIFEY RECKLESS. Square, compact and balanced 16mths male with good deep black coat and super rich rust markings. Different style to 1st and not quite the substance or maturity at this stage. Clean head with flat cheeks, decent underjaw, tight lips, and lovely dark eye. Planes are parallel although skull is a little domed and I would prefer more length and strength of muzzle. Ears are very well set and the size and shape I like to see. Long dry neck into clean wither and moderately angled front with shoulder and upper arm of equal length, brisket and forechest starting to develop well. Front is true with parallel legs, short strong pasterns and nice tight elbows. Straight topline slopes gently into excellent croup, pelvis and tailset, just needs to tighten up over the loin. Rear angulation matches front, with strong straight hocks and super well-arched feet. Moved out steadily and accurately with a balanced gait, with super focus on his talented young handler at all times. More to come from this boy as he develops and drops into himself.
