1st Kerry’s Overbore Sky Flyer – 1st Special Yearling
Spaniel (Clumber)
Open (1,0)
1st Thorogood’s Anbrook Don’t Stop Me Now at Harrifield – 4 year old mature dog standing alone in the breed today, but worthy of his BOB award nonetheless. Broad skull with a square head, broad across the skull and decided occiput and square muzzle. Ears set just below level of clean eyes. His body is long, strong and muscular, with a deep chest and well sprung ribs. Muscular loin and moved straight fore & aft with effortless drive.
Spaniel (English Springer)
Puppy (4,1)
Tough class of puppies that will constantly change places with not all performing as I am sure they could, or as they will in the future.
1st Williams & Toublic’s Cobhay Heavenly Hydrangea – 7 month bitch who won the class on her true movement. I loved her head, fairly broad across the skull with a fairly deep muzzle, square in flew. Sufficient bone and standing on tight, round feet. She holds a level topline on the stand and move. OK depth of chest for age. Look forward to seeing how she matures. BP
2nd Williams & Toublic’s Cobhay Dashing Dandelion – 7 month dog and litter brother to the winner. Strong bone and loved his body proportions “Neither too long nor too short”. Slightly shorter in muzzle than his sister but remains square in flews and has long ears. His movement in profile is effortless, just needs to tidy fore & aft.
3rd Cokell, Nicklin & Ainsley’s Carlyquinn Winer Storm
Special Yearling (5,2)
1st Weyman’s More Than Amazing Wanna Be A Gangster at Spuffing – This 15 months dog tri dog is very stylish and moved well from all angles. Broad across the skull, square end to muzzle of medium length. Good bone standing on round, compact feet. He holds a level topline with good depth of chest and spring of rib and short, strong loin. RBOB
2nd Walker, Walker & Bellamy’s Dexbenella In My Dreams – Loved this bitch for type as she walked in the ring. Feminine head, dark, almond-shaped eyes showing a kind expression and long ears, set in line with her eye. Good bone, tight, compact feet and holds a level topline. Correct angulation fore & aft and tail set low. She moved true fore & aft but lacked reach in this class.
3rd Whitworth’s Kingsheath Moon Dance at Freworth
Post Graduate (2,1)
1st Walker, Walker & Bellamy’s Dexbenella In My Dreams – 2nd Junior, but a change of handler to her co-owner. What a change in movement, now showing that lovely reach expected from an ESS “ Forelegs swing straight forward from shoulder, throwing feet well forward in an easy free manner” Best Opposite Sex
Open (4,1)
1st Walker’s Dexbenella It’s Only Me – a taller Black & White dog, but I could not deny him today. A lovely shape and proportions throughout with a strong body. Gorgeous head with an alert, but melting expression, with his dark eyes and long ears. Good bone, tight feet, he was so well made and balanced in his angulation. He moved true and showed powerful reach & drive. BOB
2nd Williams &Toublic’s Cobhay Fancy Phlox – 4 year old bitch of a different type to my winner but took this place on her true moment, my notes saying “moved like a dream”. Her topline is strong and level and correct, balanced angulation. She has the sweetest of heads.
3rd Weyman’s Spuffing Prosecco
Res Rowlinson’s Meltarose Mystique
Spaniel (Irish Water)

1st Stoddart’s Cambridgcurl Aileen Fox – 16 month bitch skull of good length and width, almond-shaped, dark eye with intelligent expression. Good forechest and strong level topline with short, muscular loin. Correctly angulated which showed in her true and free movement. RBOB
Open (3,1)
1st Latheron’s Fynder Reacher. An upstanding male coming into maturity. Short coupled giving that compact appearance. Well made and balanced, he has well laid back shoulders with correct return of upper arm. He is a lovely dog to go over including his barrel-shaped rib cage. BOB
2nd Andrews’ Famous Crowds Secret Parade at Mudlarks – Lovely bitch for type and shape but she lacked condition today, but that will return. Loved her shape and size with correct angulation. Beautiful head and expression, she moved well.

1st Harris’ Winsleywood Wellington - Retriever (Labrador) – There is no mistaking this is a male with his substance. Broad throughout from his skull, chest, loin and hindquarters. Dark eye with ears set close to his head. On the move he was a pleasure to watch, with reach & drive, along with true fore and aft. Pleasure to award him this class.
2nd Henson’s Cinderbank Move It JW – Retriever (Golden) – This is one of those dogs who is just lovely to go over, everything flows from his clean & muscular neck, his well laid back shoulders, over his deep, well-sprung ribs and strong loin and then to his well-bent stifles. He carried his tail level with his back when flowing around the ring.
