My sincere apologies on the delay with this critique. I had originally written and sent to Our Dogs a critique. Several months later I was made aware that my critique had not been published but then due to a serious fault on my MAC I lost my original critique. I have therefore rewritten my critique using the remains of translated notes from my remarkable. Morale here is always keep more than one backup of your PC/MAC, don’t delete the source files from your remarkable and don’t just email your critique – post it online as well. Lancashire Heeler Puppy (1) 1st – Bradford’s Droversrock Pyrite 11 month old Black & Tan Bitch, charming and alert character with a good front and correct angulation. Moved soundly in both directions with brisk side gait. Best Puppy Junior (2, 1 abs) 1st – Bradford’s Droversrock Pyrite. Post Graduate (5, 3 abs) 1st – Bradford’s Simonsville Ediva* Compact 3 year old bitch with good head shape, correct ears, ok neck and shoulder. Moved soundly to win this class. 2nd – Lawrence’s Brinscall Moors Bertie 3 year old male with balanced angles in front & rear, moved very well in profile. Open (2) 1st – Lawrence’s Hoscar Ellis’s Eddie - Nice type 6 years dog, compact, alert, good head properties, would prefer a little less weight, sound in both directions, moved well in profile. Best of Breed 2nd – Hughes’ Poolheywood Barney JW 2 year old dog of different type to winner with a longer leg. OK body and rear, moved ok in profile and away. Welsh Corgi (Cardigan) Puppy (0) Junior (0) Post Graduate (1) 1st – Smith’s Ceranda Gower Diamond JW 2 year old bitch, pleasing head with good eye, good neck and shoulder, correct bone and body, ok rear angulation, moved soundly. Open (1) 1st – Irving’s Twinan Shield Of Steel 13 months old bitch with super head, good neck, correct front assembly, firm topline, good rear angulation. Moved very well in all directions. – Best of Breed Welsh Corgi (Pembroke) Puppy (2, 1 abs) 1st – Irving’s Twinan Swing On A Star I fell for this 6 month old dog immediately he entered the ring. He has lovely balance and that extra wow factor that says look at me. Correct head properties, excellent front assembly, good ribs for age, firm topline, good rear. Moved well in both directions, excelling in reach in profile. Very exciting youngster. – Best of Breed and Best Puppy and I understand Puppy Group 1. Junior (1, 1 abs) Post Graduate (0) Open (2) 1st – Irving’s Craigycor Golden Ticket by Twinan (IKC) 11 month old dog, keen expression, lovely eye of good colour and shape, balanced skull with well set ears, good body proportions and angles, good bone and feet, firm top-line, moved out well and was presented in excellent condition. Very close between him and his younger kennel mate. 2nd – Morris’ Reach For The Stars 2 year old male, pleasing head, OK neck, moved well out and back. Finnish Lapphund Puppy (1) 1st – Lloyd’s Arianrhod Havukrunnu (AI) 10 month old dog of nice style, ok head proportions, good eye shape, well set and active ears. Correct body proportions, good rear angulation. Moved soundly with a brisk gait. Best Puppy Junior (1) 1st – Lloyd’s Arianrhod Havukrunnu (AI) Post Graduate (1) 1st – Lloyd’s Arianrhod Havukrunnu (AI) Open (2, 1 abs) 1st – Whyman’s Lappviken Keltainen of Manu 14 month old dog who I have judged previously as a baby puppy. He is continuing to mature nicely. Excellent head proportions with strong muzzle, good eye and correctly placed and shaped ears. OK front and rear angulation, slightly longer than high body proportions. Moved well even with a change of handler Best of Breed 2nd – Lloyds Arianrhod Amorphis 9 year old bitch, correct eye shape, ok ears, good bone, ok neck. Did not settle on the move today. Australian Shepherd Puppy (1) 1st – Hodges’ Jopium Dark And Demure 11 month old Black Tri Bitch of good balance. Feminine head with good proportions and nice eye. Good bone and feet, good reach of neck and firm topline. Excellent muscle tone, well presented. Moved soundly with balanced side gait in a confined ring Best Puppy and close up to BOB. Junior (1) 1st – Hodges’ Jopium Dark And Demure Post Graduate (3, 1 abs) 1st – Robert’s Under The Polar Star Du Reve Austral Dreamtale (Imp Fra) 21 month old bitch with feminine head. Moderate neck, balanced angulation. Moved soundly. 2nd – Haddock’s Glamour Aussie’s Easy Rider Jicarilla (Imp Hun) 4 year old dog, ok head, good shoulder. Lost out on the move to the winner. Open (3, 1 abs) 1st – Robert’s Troya Elvikam Of Dreamtale (Imp Pol) 5 year old bitch who won this class on her construction and movement. She excels in front assembly, firm body and good rear. She moved soundly out and back and she coped perfectly in a confined ring winning this class and ultimately Best Of Breed on side gait. 2nd – Hutchcroft’s Allmark One Of These Days 4 year old dog who on first look I thought would be my winner. I preferred his more balanced head to the 1st. He has a good neck, excellent body and is well balanced in front and rear. Moved soundly – just lacked the reach of 1st. German Shepherd Dog Puppy – (4, 1 abs) 1st – Blackwell-Price’s Chalksville Spring Meadow I liked this 8 month old Bitch for her overall balance and style. She has an excellent front with good shoulder and length of upper arm, correct foreleg with strong sprung pasterns. Good topline. Needs to strengthen in hocks, super side gait. – Best Puppy 2nd – Amis & Stanley’s Droyales Present Verdandi 10 month old dog with good head, who was excellently handled and moved really well. Sound in all directions. Close up to 1st. 3rd – Brown & Kearnan’s Swnynant Icon Junior (1) 1st – Davies’ Wilczyjar Candy 1 year old long coated bitch she is of nice size, ok head with dark expressive eye. Good bone needs to tighten in pasterns still. Angulation is balanced front and rear. Struggled on this surface when moving. Post Graduate (6, 1 abs) 1st – Finnigan’s Reyakosa Diablo 2 year old dog who won this class today on his sound out and back movement. Ok head, good neck and shoulder. Body firm, strong rear. 2nd – Cave’s Ballynabola Ria At Casiann 6 year old bitch who never really came to terms with the indoor surface. Achieved second on her balanced construction. 3rd – Askham & Ranshaw’s Reyakosa Dakota Open (6, 1 abs) 1st – Kearnan’s Nl/Bel/Int Ch Rosebud Daenerys Ir JCh – Impressive 6 year old bitch who commands attention. Good head, excellent front assembly, ok ribs, very good topline. Moved very well with excellent side gait. Best of Breed 2nd – Kenmare’s Windgunns Rio Grande 4 year old bitch, good head and expression, good shoulder, bone and feet. Preferred her rear over first but struggled in the confined ring and ultimately the side gait and topline of 1 prevailed. 3rd – Finnigan’s Reyakosa Brando Old English Sheepdog Puppy (1) 1st – Leybourne & Johnson’s Dominoesdale Thymes Spirit A 9 month old male of good breed type. Good head proportions, good pigment, compact body, ok shoulder, deep brisket, moved soundly – Best Puppy Junior (2) 1st – Sweet & Doran’s Makaylen Cu Caol Ila Appealing 16 month old bitch, presented in lovely condition. Feminine head, good neck, good lay of shoulder, compact body, gentle rise, well angulated rear quarters. Moved soundly – Best Of Breed 2nd – Moore’s Melowdee Do I Love You At Shimorill 16 month old bitch. Ok neck and shoulder, good rear. Moved ok out and back. Post Graduate (3, 2 abs) 1st – Sweet & Doran’s Makaylen Cu Caol Ila Open (1) 1st – Laybourne & Johnson’s Melowdee Paws In Thyme In Dominoesdale JW 6 year old longer cast dog, with ok head. Good neck, well laid shoulder, ok rear. Moved soundly out and back but lacked animation in side gait on this surface.
