Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge at their show, a fantastic entry of quality dogs and a well run show. 

Golden Retriever

1st Hodder FULVIA MIDSUMMER BREEZE 

13 month old bitch with complete scissor bite. Clean eye of good shape. Head developing nicely without excess. Good reach of neck onto well angled shoulders. Firm top line with good tail set. A fidget on the stand but moved well with clean action and drive. Was much more settled when it came to the group where she put in a foot perfect performance. BOB & Group 2

2nd Hill DRUMKILTY ONE NIGHT STAND FOR SANDAULA

11 month bitch of heavier type than one, lots to like about this youngster and a very close choice between the two. Just found 1 more balanced at this stage. Scissor bite, good bone throughout. Fantastic coat and presented well.

17 month old dog, scissor bite, dark eye of good shape. Strong in bone for size and well constructed throughout with a strong top line. Sound mover, covering the ground with efficient drive. 

2nd Thorne PANTEGPARISH DUKE OF YORK 

18 month old dog, scissor bite, strong masculine head. Well angled front with good fore chest, slightly weak in pasterns at this stage. Well presented, and in firm condition. Strong top line which was maintained on the move. Slightly proud of tail today, was more settled in the open class and this reflected in his movement.

1 year old black dog, scissor bite, dark eye. Good reach of neck with a well constructed front. Level top line, would like more angulation in the rear to improve drive on the move. Worked well with handler.

3 year old black dog, scissor bite, strong in head. Would prefer a darker eye. Moderate in bone throughout. A solid dog throughout and moved with steady drive, covering the ground with ease. BOB

8 month old dog of good size, really making his handler work today. Scissor bite, head developing well with good proportions. Clean eye of good shape. Well boned for size. Strong top line, moved well once settled. BPIB

Young bitch, just turned 12 months old. Scissor bite. Lots to like with this young girl. Pleasing head, developing well with well shaped eye of good colour. Well boned throughout. Correct angles front and rear with strop top line, covered the ground with ease.

1st Jones GWENDARIFF ITS JUST A RUMOUR 

3 year old dog who caught my eye as he entered the ring, masculine head of good proportions. Scissor bite, clean eyes of good colour and shape, ears well set to give gentle expression. Well boned with tidy feet. Shown in fantastic coat. Came into his own on the move which continued on into the group where he had plenty of space to excel and ultimately top the group. 

2nd Webb ALOLFRANA WHOLE LOTTA LOVE WITH REDESHKA (BA2)

A young bitch, finer in type but lots to like. Scissor bite, lovely headpiece. Good reach of neck and well angled through out. Would like slightly more bone. Moved well, working well with handler.

5 year old dog, clean head of good proportions, scissor bite. Clean in throat, with good reach of neck. Well angled through out with strong top line. Covered the ground well. 

2nd Bentley PENCLIPPIN JUBILEE FLAME JW 

28 month old dog, lots to like, clean head and neck and well made through out. Slightly drops off at croup. Moved well covering the ground with ease.

9 year old dog still full of life, scissor bite, correct head proportions but slightly more flew than I would like. Clean neck of good length, well angled throughout and steady mover.

3 year old black bitch of good type, scissor bite. Smaller in frame but well made throughout which showed in her movement. 

3rd Dutton, Davies & Davies GLENTURRET BELL’N’WHISTLE AT BRYNYWAWR

6 month old bitch with lots to like, unfortunate to be up against more finished dogs today. Scissor bite, clean eye, good bone throughout. Worked well with handler and pleased to award her BPIB.

7 year old bitch, full of life, scissor bite. Clean eye of good shape, good reach of neck. Well boned throughout with tidy feet. Well angled rear and good drive on the move.

8 month old bitch, scissor bite, clean head of good proportions, eye of correct shape. Good reach of neck, set onto well angled shoulders. Strong top line and well angled rear, well conditioned throughout. Worked well with handler and covered the ground with steady drive. Pleased to award her BPIB, Group 1 and hear she went on to win BPIS. Well deserved. 

2nd Phillips RIVERTONE RETROGRADE 

17 month old dog of good size. Scissor bite, clean eye. Good reach of neck, well angled front with good fore chest. Tidy feet. Lacked some drive on the move today but feel he would have benefited from a larger ring to really get into his stride.

15 month old male, scissor bite, clean head of good proportions. Clean in throat, good reach of neck. Well angled throughout with strong top line and shown in firm condition. Good bone for size and tidy feet, moved well covering the ground with ease. Pleased to award him BOB and Group 3.

2nd Griffiths MERCHINETES PADRIG (BB2)

6 month old dog of cracking type. Scissor bite. Well boned through out with tidy feet. A really promising youngster but unsettled today and didn’t show himself to his advantage, moved better in the puppy group once he had time to settle.

2 year old dog, scissor bite, clean eye of good shape. Well constructed throughout with level top line. Clean movement with plenty of reach and drive. 

2nd Williams NYLIRAM THE ALIBI FOR TREBETTYN JW 

Another cracking young dog, caught my eye as he entered the ring but played his handler up, letting himself down on the move. Beautifully made with tidy feet. Will be one to watch once he settles.

9 year old gentleman who excels in unexaggerated breed type. Scissor bite, clean eye and lovely head. Clean lines throughout with correct angulation. A pleasure to watch on the move, pleased to award him BOB and the veteran group later in the day.

6 year old bitch, scissor bite, clean neck. Well boned throughout and good foot placement. Another sound mover. Could swap places with one on another day.

Black quality bitch, scissor bite, strong neck, well placed shoulders. Compact body. Foot perfect on the move and presented in top condition. Really came into her own in the group ring. Pleased to award her BOB and group 4.

Black dog, scissor bite, clean eye. Head well developed. Well constructed which showed in his movement once he settled. Another well presented male.

Black and Tan bitch of heavier type. Clean head, good reach of neck, without throatiness. Well angulated front and good top line. Carrying a little extra weight today which showed on the move.

9 month old bitch, scissor bite, clean eye. Daughter to class winner. Preferred the front of her mother at this stage but has plenty of time on her side. Level top line and a steady mover. BP.

3rd in PG class, 9 month old bitch with lots to like about her. Scissor bite. Well constructed through out and just needs to work on her ring training to get the most from her. Plenty of time on her side.
