Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge my first working group since awarding CC’s earlier this year. Lots of absentees on the day but pleased with my overall winners and a well run show.

1st Herring WOMLU WORTH THE WAIT WITH HEFFALUMP

Judged this boy as a puppy and I am pleased to see his developing well. Masculine head developing well. Dark eye. Well angled throughout with good bone to support his size. Well conditioned throughout and a light mover for size, covers the ground with ease and was much more settled today. A worthy winner for Best AVNSC and later I awarded him Group 4.

1st Cook BOESE JIGGERLOTTI

10 month old Boxer bitch, dark eye of good shape. Head developing well. Strong neck set on to well laid shoulders. Good bone throughout. Strong top line and well conditioned throughout. Needs to tidy on the move but plenty of time on her side. Pleased to award her puppy group 2 later in the day.

1st Powell BOTLIERSKOP SILVER SCEPTRE FOR RIVERSROCK

16 month old dog, correct bite. Dark eye of good shape. Masculine head of good proportions developing well. Strong neck, well angled throughout. Level top line, which was maintained on the move. A quality youngster with so much to like and plenty of time on his side. Steady mover covering the ground with drive. Pleased to award him Best RBOB in the group and later watch him to go on to win overall Best Reserve Best Of Breed In Show.

Boxer bitch, dark eye of good shape. Head of good proportions, strong neck and well angled fore and after. Good bone throughout for size with tight feet. Strong top line. Well muscled throughout but would like slightly more drive on the move.

1st Clark BOTLIERSKOP TITAN THEIA

6 year old Rottweiler bitch. Good bite. Dark eye of good shape, head slightly plain but of good proportions. Good length of neck. Well angled throughout, good bone for size, strong top line which was maintained on the move. Moved well, covering the ground with ease with correct tail carriage.

1st Simms NL CH SNOWMISTS ISAAC AT ARTICSKIES JW ShCM VW (IMP CAN) BENELUX W18

8.5 year old Siberian Husky. What can I say about this boy that the titles above don’t say for themselves. Scissor bite, eye of good shape and colour, head of good proportions and ear set correct to give good expression. Well angled throughout with good bone for size. In fantastic condition throughout which showed in his steady effortless movement. Pleased to later discover that it was his offspring that I awarded the adult and puppy group too. 

2nd Mclure KANUKALOS BURLETTA

9 year old black and gold Hovawart bitch. Scissor bite, head of good proportions. Well angled throughout with good bone. Strong level top line which she maintained on the move. Lovely bitch just lacked some muscle tone and stamina today. 

Working Group 

Group 1 Simms ARTICSKIES THE CHOSEN ONE JW

Judged this Siberian Husky a few weeks ago where I awarded him BOB. Oozes quality and really owns the ring. Everything is in proportion and he comes into his own with his steady movement where he covers the ground with effortless drive. Thrilled to award him Group 1 in my first Working Group and later watch him go on to win BIS. 

Group 2 Bull CH SANDBEARS WHAT YA FANCY AT RAVENSHORE

A quality Newfoundland bitch shown in top condition. Dark eye of good shape with head of good proportions, gentle expression. Well proportioned throughout and in fantastic coat. Covered the ground with ease and a real stand out in the group. 

Group 3 Kuech BOESE JIGGERLARDO JW 

Boxer dog who creates the characteristic silhouette and doesn’t disappoint when you get your hands on him. A quality dog coming into his prime. Well conditioned throughout and covered the ground with effortless drive working well with handler. 

Group 4 Herring WOMLU WORTH THE WAIT WITH HEFFALUMP

See critique for AVNSC, again he put on a fantastic performance in the group, impressing with his effortless movement. 

Puppy Group

Group 1 Simms ARTICSKIES BLACK DIVA 

Coming up 12 month old Siberian Husky, relative to my veteran winner and my group winner with much of the same quality. Fantastic expression and balanced throughout. Covered the ground with foot perfect performance really working well with handler, another one to watch from this kennel. 

Group 2 Cook BOESE JIGGERLOTTI 

For critique see AV Working Puppy. A quality Boxer youngster with a bright future ahead, more settled in the group than in the AV classes. 

Group 3 Mclure PINES MANSION AT KANUKALOS 

Raw young Hovawart with plenty of time on his side. Good bite, dark eye and head developing well. Has lots to like at this stage but just needs to get it all together. Once settled he moved well covering the ground well, if a little proud of his tail.

Group 1 Powell BOTLIERSKOP SILVER SCEPTRE FOR RIVERSROCK

See AV Classes for critique. A cracking youngster who I was pleased to later discover has already had a RCC and needed 1 more point for his JW, A real stand out of the day for me and I will follow his future with interest. 

Group 2 Harvey & Bole HARVLIN’S MYSTIFICATION JW 

See AV Classes for critique, again put on a great performance in the group and lots to like about this quality Boxer. 

Group 3 Hemsworth HIGHTIMBERS TRAVEL TICKETS

Hovawart bitch of good quality, carrying slightly too much weight today, I have judged her previously and awarded her RBOB. Lots to like and covered the ground well. Works well with handler.
