I would like to say a big thank you to Salisbury & South Wilts Canine Society for giving me the opportunity to judge Dachshunds at their Open Show on Sunday 22nd September. Thank you to my stewards for doing a fantastic job, and thank you to all the exhibitors who entered.

1st Rowe's Boloria Goodnight Mr Tom: Confident Wild Boar dog of just 11 months. Pleasing masculine head, with good almond-shaped eyes and correct bite. Lovely length of neck, correct shoulders and ribbing that went well back. Good Strong hind quarters, Looked an absolute picture in profile. BPIB & BOB. Pleased to hear he later went HG3 and HPG1

2nd Matthew's Sonham Fire Cracker: 20 month old Wild Boar dog. Ok head, good reach of neck. Prominent forchest. Shoulders ok, not as tight as 1 in the elbows which could be seen on the move. When on the move, he moved with confidence.

1st Dunford's Ruletadax Evie Antonia: Black & Tan Bitch coming on 10 months. Feminine head, slightly round in eye . Correct scissor bite. Enough length of neck leading into well laid shoulders.Good length of ribs that went well back. Good hind quarters,Lovely topline which was kept on the move. BPIB & BOB

2nd Johnson's Ruletadax Destina: Black & Tan Bitch, Litter sister to 1. Feminine head, better almond shaped eye than 1. Good shoulder placement, excellent length of keel. Lost topline on the move and didn't have the hind movement to match her litter sister.

1st Ruse's Flossfields All About Olive Wild Boar bitch of 8 months. Feminine head with good eye and correct bite. Long slightly arched neck into well placed shoulders. Moved out well with a good length of stride, handled to advantage. BPIB & BOB
