My thanks to the officers and committee for the invitation to judge at their today and a special thank you to my steward who stood alone but did a fantastic job for me and made my day so much more enjoyable. Lastly my thanks to all the exhibitors who entered their hounds for me to go over today.

1st Hooper’s Davricard Jacobean

Handsome dog of correct size and full of quality. Correct in his head with a domed skull, prominent stop and typical soft expression from his large eyes. His front has a well laid back shoulder and straight forelegs that fit nicely under his body. Well sprung ribs to his deep chest which extend well back to his short muscular loin. To the rear he has well bent stifles and good strong hocks. On the move he kept his topline at all times covering the ground with good length of stride and plenty of drive. B.O.B., B.P.I.B. and later pleased to see him take 4th in the hound group and 1st in the hound puppy group.

2nd Barrow’s Redcap Pretty Woman At Meganjin.

Beautiful bitch, compactly built and presented in excellent muscle. Correct in her head and expression with good length of ears. Good front and complimenting rear quarters which again she used so well covering the ground with ease.

1st Barrow’s Rosanka Skye At Meganjin.

Well made, compact, sturdy tri colour bitch of correct size. Feminine head of ample proportions with equal length nose to stop, stop to occiput. Low set ears of ample length and a nice dark eye correctly set, all carried by her neck of sufficient length. Neat front with shoulders well laid and her elbows dividing her height in half. Deep in her body with ribs well sprung and extending well back to her short muscular loin. Muscular rear with stifles well bent and complimenting her front. Her movement was effortless with good reach and drive. R.B.O.B.

2nd Hooper’s Bijou Tosha Avec Torbers.

Bitch of correct size, well made in her head with a dark eye carried well by her neck of ample length. Well-made front with straight forelegs with ample bone and set well under her deep chest. Complimenting rear with muscular thighs and well bent stifles. On the day she moved well with good reach and drive, I just preferred the tail carriage of the winner.

1st Small’s Minard Darque Red For Devondax.

Handsome red dog of moderate length and presented in good coat. Correct head, tapering nicely to his muzzle and with nice dark almond shaped eyes. Ample length to his neck leading into his well-made front with all set neatly around his prominent breast bone and his legs set under carrying his body well. Well ribbed up in his body with a level back leading to his muscular broad rump and well angulated rear assembly which compliments his front perfectly and shone through in his free flowing movement around the ring. B.P.I.B. and later 2nd in the hound puppy group.

1st Clark’s Minard I’m So Fancy.

Beautiful bitch of correct size with a conical shaped head, dark almond shaped eyes and carried well by her muscular neck of ample length. Well laid shoulders with matching length of upper arm and set nicely under her deep body with prominent breast bone. Well ribbed up in her body with sufficient ground clearance leading to her strong, muscular rear with complimenting angulation to her front. On the move she covered the ground well with plenty of reach and drive. R.B.O.B.

2nd Westway’s Abbilis Maleficent At Treranch.

Well-made bitch correct in her head with typical expression from her dark almond eyes. Good strong front with shoulders well laid back and legs sitting nicely under her body. Ample length of back leading to her short loin and well-made rear assemble. She again moved with ease around the ring.

1st Butler’s CH Minard Out Of The Darque From Drymoor JW.

Beautifully presented black and tan bitch of correct proportions. Loved her conical shaped head which tapers nicely to her muzzle. Dark almond shaped eyes and high set ears of moderate length. Well made in her front with prominent fore chest, sloping shoulders with matching return of upper arm and legs set neatly under her deep body with sufficient ground clearance. Moderately long in her body with a level back good ribbing leading to her short, muscular loin and broad rump. Muscular thighs to her well angulated rear which complimented her front and showed in her movement as she covered the ground with a free, flowing striding action with ample drive from her rear. B.O.B. and later she took 2nd in the hound group.

2nd Westway’s Abbilis Jive Talking At Treranch.

Lovely bitch full of type and quality throughout. Balanced in her proportions with a good head carried well on a muscular neck. Well made in both her front and rear quarters with excellent muscle and well ribbed up in her body she again moved well with good length to her stride.

Well balanced black and tan dog of correct size. Typical in his head, long and conical with dark almond eyes and neat high set ears. Good front with shoulders set at right angle and ample return of upper arm. Deep in his chest with prominent breast bone and ribbing extending well back. Well made in his rear with ample length of upper thigh and shorter lower thigh all set at right angles to each other. On the move he covered the ground with long, free flowing strides and plenty of drive from his rear. B.P.I.B. and R.B.O.B.

Red bitch of sufficient length and nicely balanced throughout. Feminine in her head of good length, tapering nicely to her muzzle and with a dark almond eye all carried well by her long neck. Good front with matching length of shoulders and upper arms which all lay close to her ribs, supported well by her well placed forelegs. Deep chest with ribbing extending well back to her short muscular loin leading to her broad rump with balancing angles to her front. She moved freely around the ring with plenty of drive from her rear.

Well-made red dog, moderately long in his profile with ample ground clearance under his body. Correct head, conical in shape with dark almond eye set obliquely and high set well rounded ears. Neat front assembly set around his prominent breast bone with shoulders sloping and good return of upper arms. Good depth to his chest with ribbing extending well back. Well rounded rump, muscular thighs set at correct angles to compliment his front. On the move he covered the ground with long strides and plenty of drive from behind. B.O.B.

2nd Rose’s Pennydach Mystique At Rosencrantz.

Black and tan bitch of moderate length. Good head shape and correct eyes again carried well by her long neck. Well made front with forelegs placed nicely under her deep chest. Strong muscular rear with complimenting angles to her front she again moved freely around the ring.

3rd Poulier’s Auradach Alfred The Great.

1st Rose’s Barratini Song And Dance With Rosencrantz.

Well balanced bitch of correct size presented in good harsh coat. Good head balanced in length and dark almond eyes with nice ridges above. Nice high set well rounded ears of good length to finish and all carried well by her long neck. Strong, prominent breast bone to her front with well laid shoulders and ample return of upper arms. Sufficient ground clearance from her deep body with a level back and good ribbing. Muscular rear quarters with long upper thigh and short lower thigh giving balancing angles to her front. She moved easily around the ring with ample drive from her rear. B.P.I.B. and R.B.O.B.

2nd Kilroy’s Rozelle Rosalie At Janacop.

Beautiful bitch full of quality and maturing nicely. Correct head and eye with nice eyebrows and beard. Well made front with shoulders fitting nicely around her deep chest and legs set well under her well ribbed up body. Muscular rear with good angulation and legs straight and parallel. She moved with ample reach and drive around the ring.

Well balanced bitch with correct length to height proportions and presented in a good dense harsh coat. Correct head, conical and tapering well to muzzle. Dark almond eyes with nice ridges above and well set ears all carried by her neck of sufficient length. Her shoulders are well laid with good return of upper arms and legs fitting close to her body with ample depth of keel. Level in her backline her ribbing extends well back to her short, muscular loin. Well rounded rump to her rear with muscular, long upper thighs and shorter muscular lower thigh. On the move she covered the ground effortlessly with long, free flowing strides. B.O.B.

Well made young dog of correct proportions. His head has balancing length from nose to stop and stop to occiput. Almond shaped eye and high set ears of good length and all carried well by his long neck. Deep in his chest with ribbing extending well back and with his shoulders set at correct angles to enable hi legs to sit well under his body. Muscular, short loin leading to his well made rear quarters. Presented in good coat he moved with and effortless action around the ring. B.P.I.B. and later he took 3rd in the hound puppy group.

Beautifull well balanced bitch of correct proportions. Correct head with beautiful dark almond shaped eyes and high set ears with well rounded tips. Excellent front with a prominent breast bone, well laid shoulders with balancing return of upper arms and correctly placed forelegs covering lowest part of keel. Moderate length to her level back and ribbing extending well back to her short loin. Well rounded rump with upper thigh set at correct angle and a shorter lower thigh, all with excellent muscle tone. On the move she covered the ground with an effortless gait showing plenty of reach and drive. B.O.B.

2nd Way & Burley’s Swansford Almadora.

Another elegant bitch of correct proportions throughout. Correct in her head and eye, all carried well by her long and well-muscled neck. Excellent front giving correctly laid shoulders with legs nicely placed under her deep keel. Well ribbed up in her underline and a good strong rear assembly with complimenting angulation to her front. She again moved well with long reaching strides and drive from her rear. R.B.O.B.

Well made handsome red dog of typical proportions and standing sufficiently clear of the ground. Long conically shaped head of ample width and with super expression from his dark almond eyes. Well-made front with breast bone prominent, shoulders sloping and well laid. Good return of upper arm set at right angles and his legs standing neatly under his front on his broad feet. His body is well ribbed up and leads to his short muscular loin. Broad, full rump with his rear quarters covered in good strong muscle and giving complimenting angulation to his front. On the move he covered the ground with long reaching strides around the ring. B.O.B.

Beautifully balanced bitch correctly proportioned throughout. Loved her head and expression all carried well by her long neck. Deep keel to her front with well laid shoulders fitting neatly around her body and standing true on her broad front feet. Her ribs extend well back to her short loin and strong well-muscled rear with her upper thigh set at right angles to her pelvis complimenting her front perfectly. On the move all of her qualities shone through as she covered the ground effortlessly. B.P.I.B. and later 4th in the hound puppy group.

1st Rycroft’s Jacksondax Hornet Hurrah At Trisensara JW.

Well presented black and tan dog of correct proportions. Conical shaped head, tapering nicely to his muzzle and with dark almond shaped eyes all carried well by his slightly arched, muscular long neck. Well made front with correct shoulder placement all fitting nicely around his deep well ribbed up chest and nice prominent breast bone. His underline merges gradually into his abdomen. Well rounded rump with excellent strong muscles and his rear quarters set correctly, complimenting his front perfectly. He moved well covering the ground with good length of stride and driving well from his rear. R.B.O.B.

2nd Wilkinson & Wakeham’s Raajput’s Canadian Winter with Wakywilks.

Beautiful black and tan bitch loved her correctly proportioned head with her dark almond eyes and high set ears. Well laid back shoulders to her front set neatly around her deep chest and prominent breast bone. Well ribbed up in her body and keeping a level back at all times. Muscular rear quarters with long upper thigh, shorter second thigh all giving complimenting angulation to her front. On the move I felt she did not like the surface and was not as settled as winner on the day.

1str Turner’s Devonhound Who’s That Girl JW.

Absolutely stunning orange and white bitch so full breed type and never put a foot wrong on the day. Loved her head of correct proportions, poweful in her muzzle with a beautiful expression from her lozenge shaped eyes and finished off with her low set ears of good length. Well arched muscular neck leads down to her well-made front with well laid back shoulders and plenty of bone to her forelegs all fitting nicely around her crook front. Her body has ample length with a level back and well rounded ribs extending well back to her loin with sufficient ground clearance. Muscular rear quarters with stifles well bent and strong, well let down hocks with moderate wrinkling on legs. On the move she carried her tail up covering the ground with an effortless, smooth gait with plenty of reach in front and powerful drive from her rear. B.O.B. and later she took 1st in the hound group.

Beautiful bitch presented in lovely harsh coat. Loved her head well balanced with moderately domed skull, moderate stop and dark oval shaped eyes set correctly. Ears on a level with her eyes and of ample length. Sloping shoulders to her front with good straight legs and a deep chest with well rounded ribs extending well back. Her rear compliments her front with well bent stifles and well let down hocks. She moved well with quick strides to her action. R.B.O.B.

Bitch of correct size and presented in a harsh coat. Head and skull of medium length with slight oval shaped dark eyes. Good reach of neck leading to her well made front with straight forelegs set neatly under her deep chest. Complimenting rear assembly well-muscled and with good strong hocks. She moved with good strides but did not like the surface today.

Handsome well balanced dog presented in a good, flat harsh coat. Medium length to his head with a slightly domed skull and a dark oval shaped eye with ears set on level with them and reaching to nose when drawn forward. Slightly sloping in his shoulders, nice straight forelegs all set neatly around his deep chest with well rounded ribs extending well back. Strong muscular loin leading to his rear with stifles well bent and good strong hocks. On the move he covered the ground with a quick striding action. B.O.B.

2nd Horn’s Mochras Mahjesty.

Well made bitch with a typical head and well set oval eyes. Correct straight front with shoulders sloping and fitting well around her wide, deep body. To her rear she has muscular thighs with well bent stifles and strong hocks. Sadly, today she was not moving out as well as her excellent conformation would enable her to do.
