Class 299-Special Yearling, (1)Pearce, Francis & Williams, Mr G, Mr D and Mrs J, Longsdale’s Dance With Me, Sable Dog 29/03/23, Beautifully presented in full bloom and sparkling personality especially loving the feathers he found to tigger a true GS temperament I believe this breed should make you smile with the joy they display and this chap didn’t disappoint, he also pushed hard in the challenge just feel with age and physical maturity this will soon have him racking up the prizes.

Lovely textured and density of coat, a nice thick covering of hair over well-set triangular ears, flat skull true to breed with a well-balanced muzzle-to-skull ratio, with lovely dark pigment and eye, though eye is a little on the round side exaggerated by his colouring, good length of neck set well on to well-angled shoulders, legs of good bone density covered by correct coat finished off with nice cat feet, chest and spring of rib coming with maturity balanced hight length ration strong loin with good pelvis legs angulation down to good cat feet. Tail set on well with abundance of coat verging on overdone but again a young dog and not out of breed standard. stood a good four square with no deviation in symmetry when standing or moving. Moved out with a good drive from behind showing his sound fit healthy structure and condition.

Class 230-Limit, (1) Huntly Mrs J, Fecimus Brother Bear At Puidelup, Brown Dog25/05/2023. This little chap is going through the joys of adolescence and feel he probably left his best clothes at home. Lovely expression head of correct shape and proportions ears set on well, pigment matching coat colour which looks like it could contain some dilute lovely eye shape but a little light, set well on to neck which is a little short correctly set well on to his shoulders, chest coming in, would like slightly more spring to ribs but again time and maturity could improve these, overall proportions correct nicely set tail with quality of coat which emphasised to me this chap is just needing time and maturity. Stood slightly toeing out on his near hind and this showed on the move could be due to a multitude of things. Over all a pleasing young dog going through all the natural stages of a young animal that is not being rushed to finish via making too fat to try and give the illusion of substance, and typical to this breed, would have liked him to display a little more zest and personality but was not shy or displaying any negative behaviour and very attentive to his handler.

Class 301-Open, (1) Slack, Mrs S, CH Fecimus One Of Us, Sable Bitch 31/07/2018, beautifully turned out in her best coat. Ears are well set but a little round in shape, and lovely dark eye and pigment, eye is slightly on the round side and would have liked more muzzle the coat is very deceiving on this bitch with its depth and colour you really need to feel for the dog under it but her movement also displays her structure, sure-footed confident and driven from behind she displayed all the air of a bitch knowing her job and loving her day out and muscle condition proves this dog gets good exercise. She does appear short in leg and neck but her overall balance and proportions are correct, she has nice bone and really good cat feet, and her chest, ribs, back and loin give you the feel of a solid, balanced and correct dog very pleasing under hands lovely tail set due to correct angulation. I really enjoyed the feel of this dog which is why she was my BOB thought the Sable dog pushed her hard she was on the day the more finished packaged. Both are lovely and fit dogs and a pleasure to have the opportunity to go over.
