Many thanks to the Committee for the invitation and to my pleasant and efficient steward (Brian) who kept proceedings running smoothly. AV Imported Register Hound (1,0) 1 - Stephenson’s Rolenska Faith In You At Bondgate, B/T Coonhound, 2 ½ year old bitch, very nicely balanced and proportioned, standing just off-square, typical head with clean eye, defined occiput and good length of leather. Well boned without being overdone, scored very highly on the move with a long, effortless elastic gait. Shown in lovely condition and bloom. Liked this girl a lot hence BOB & HG1 today. Dachshund (Long-Haired) Junior (1,0) 1 – McGavigan & Pettigrew’s Pettigans Veni Vidi Vici, 11m b/t bitch, typical head and good reach of neck, plenty of forechest without being overdone, moved out with drive and held her topline, would prefer just a touch more ground clearance. BOB. Dachshund (Miniature Long-Haired) Junior (1,0) 1 – Dalton & Beach’s Zarcrest Red In The Room. 7m red dog, very promising puppy, nicely proportioned with good ground clearance, scores highly in head and ear, well angulated in front with well-formed keel, moved very well today despite the conditions, demonstrating excellent reach and drive with a steady topline for one so young. An exciting prospect. BOB, HG4, PG1. Open (1,0) 1 – Mee’s Barlaine’s Commander 5yo b/t male, nicely proportioned with profuse coat, would like just a little more bone, moved well enough and held his shape well on the go around. Just preferred the head and bone of the puppy today. Dachshund (Miniature Smooth-Haired) Junior (1,0) 1 – Mills’ Mumysami The Heart Won’t Lie At Greyvista, 18m b/t bitch, typical in head and ear shape, demonstrated good drive on the move but lost her topline a little, nicely proportioned, would prefer just a touch more clearance. Open (1,0) 1 – House’s Gleadsbury Rumour Has It, 8yo red bitch, well proportioned with good ground clearance, well filled in front, generally moved well enough and held her topline, in very good condition for her age. BOB. Dachshund (Wire-Haired) Junior (1,0) 1 – May & Ball’s Wyreview Olympia, 10m wild boar bitch, typical head and expression, with decent keel and infill in front, moved well with steady topline although a little proud of her tail at times, slightly soft in coat. BOB. Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppy (2,0) Two nice puppies of different types. 1 – McIntosh & Mackfall’s Chagall Iona With Attitude, 8m bitch, well balanced and upstanding, good depth of chest and plenty of length to her, long muscular neck into good lay of shoulder, strong back, loin and croup, very sound and steady on the move. HPG2. 2 – Tanner & Baldwin’s Barfordridge Magda, very raw 6m bitch, gave way to the more forward puppy today but such a sweet soul, nicely proportioned with good length and depth to chest, moved soundly with reach and drive, well boned and constructed. Rhodesian Ridgeback Junior (2,0) 1 - McIntosh & Mackfall’s Chagall Iona With Attitude. 2 – Zhao’s Vkloof Lady Lambo Huracan, 12 month bitch, typical in head, good strong neck into well laid shoulder, good depth of chest, moved well with good reach and drive, would prefer just a shade more length to balance her outline. Rhodesian Ridgeback Open (2,0) 1 – Scanlon’s Kinabula’s All About The Bass JW ShCEx OSW, one I have given a BOB before, typical head, good reach of neck into well-constructed front, good depth to brisket, nice spring of rib and strong in loin, today I thought she looked particularly together, strong and imposing, sadly she became a little jaded in the group. BOB. 2 – McIntosh’s Benicloujam Lola Of Chagall, not quite the stature of 1st placed, nicely balanced and constructed with good reach of neck, strong back and good sound movement. AVNSC Hound Puppy (2,0) 1 – Kenmare’s Omega Huculska Dolina At Craigmills (Imp Pol), 8m Hamiltonstovare bitch, very raw but so well put together, moderate and unexaggerated, stands well over her front with good depth to chest, scores very highly on the move with a long reaching, effortless gait. 2 – Knowles’ Sarawana Dragon’s Conquest, 8m red Basenji bitch, well made and constructed with typical head and expression, breed typical movement although a little affected by the conditions today. AVNSC Hound Junior (1,0) 1 – Knowles’ Sarawana Dragonfire Rising, 8m red Basenji bitch, typical head and expression with good wrinkle, well crested neck, scores in overall construction and outline, typical swinging stride but a little picky in front today. AVNSC Hound Post Graduate (1,0) 1 – Pearson’s Armardio Candle In The Wind JW, 2yo r/w Basset Hound bitch, typical head with clean eye, presented a very pleasing outline, adequate ground clearance and broad, level back held on the move, muscular quarters, clean in outline without excessive loose skin. AVNSC Hound Open (6,2) 1 – Pearson’s Armardio Wind Of Change JW, 2yo r/w Basset Hound bitch, more substantial in build than her litter sister, very typical head with good occiput and clean eye, muscular neck into well laid shoulders, large well knuckled feet, excels in bone and substance, strong back and loin, supple skin but without excess, strode out well holding her typical outline, pushed very hard in a strong group but felt she didn’t quite give her all on the move when it mattered today. HG2. 2 – No Details Given, r/w Basenji bitch, typical head and expression, well put together with a definite elegance about her, level topline and well muscled quarters with moderate turn of stifle, sound and correct in movement. Hound Group 1 – Black And Tan Coonhound, Rolenska Faith In You At Bondgate 2 – Basset Hound, Armardio Wind Of Change JW. 3 – Whippet, Salkeld & Graham’s Dalerafenn Follow A Dream, f/w trim Whippet bitch, pleased in overall type, shapely in outline and stands naturally over the ground, correct bladed bone, well-constructed, not enjoying the conditions today but a very nice bitch nonetheless. 4 – Dachshund (Miniature Long-Haired), Zarcrest Red In The Room. Hound Puppy Group 1 - Dachshund (Miniature Long-Haired), Zarcrest Red In The Room. 2 – Rhodesian Ridgeback, Chagall Iona With Attitude. 3 – Hamiltonstovare, Omega Huculska Dolina At Craigmills. 4 – Whippet, Brooks’ Collooney For Your Eyes Only, 11m br/w Whippet male, teeming with quality and condition, nicely put together with good depth of chest, clean and flowing in outline, correct bladed bone, strong topline held on the move, true out and back, low neat hocks, another which didn’t enjoy today’s conditions. AV Hound Puppy (7,2) 1 - Kenmare’s Omega Huculska Dolina At Craigmills (Imp Pol), Hamiltonstovare. 2 – Brooks’ Collooney For Your Eyes Only, Whippet, AV Hound Veteran (4,2) 1 – Scanlon’s Kinabula’s All About The Bass JW ShCEx OSW, Rhodesian Ridgeback. 2 – Knowles’ Ch. Tokaji Klassic Trickster At Sarawana, 8yo tricolour Basenji, upstanding male with a long easy movement, well constructed in front and rear with a short, level back, would like just a little more work in head and ear placement.
