The Jack Russell Terrier Club – Special Awards Classes

Thank you so much to the committee for the invitation to judge these classes. JRT’s are a breed that has stolen my heart and I am very grateful to all exhibitors who entered and exhibited their dogs under me, it was a real pleasure. The club were so welcoming and do a lot for their exhibitors, judges and spectators, it was a great day out.

Special Award Junior Dog or Bitch

1st Turner & MacDonald’s LOCHIEL ROCK ON – A 12 month only male who just oozes ring presence and attitude. He is very well proportioned and balanced male. He has a beautiful head with good finish and square, strong in muzzle, with good dark eyes. Ears were correctly carried close to side of skull and at the correct level. He has a good straight front and angulated well both fore and aft, he has lovely feet too. Ribcage is oval and correct being spanned well. Moving he is so true and free and has real showman attitude with his tail carried correctly.

2nd Mackay & Turner & MacDonalds – LOCHIEL SNOW QUEEN – Another beautiful JRT from this kennel. This little lady also has great ring presence, bring lively and alert and keen to please her handler. She stands well and is presents a balanced picture. Good head and well-defined muzzle with plenty work in her head. She is clean over the neck and shoulders with good placement and correct amount of angulation throughout. She carries a level topline on the move and is very stylish when moving around the ring driving from behind.

Special Award Post Graduate Dog or Bitch

1st Turner, MacDonalds & Raister Dunne’s – KRISBOS VOICE OVER WITH LOCHIEL – 18 month old male who is stylish in outline. He has a lovely head and expression with good eye and ear set. Spans well, slightly shorter in loin but maintains good level topline when stood and moving. He is well off for bone, and moves well with great enthusiasm.

2nd Evans – KULAWAND WICKED WHISPER AT JACKPACK – Nice balanced bitch, who is has good angulation both fore and aft. She has a pleasing head and eye. She is clean in neck into well placed shoulders. Rib cage well sprung but still oval. She moved true both coming and going.

Special Award Open Dog or Bitch

1st Sgura’s – AM CH TOTGREE’S HANNABELL – WOW - this young lady blew me away. She is such a showgirl and her handler gets the best out of her. She is so well balanced and proportioned just perfectly. She has the most beautiful head and finish to muzzle, correct dark eyes and good ear set. So clean over her neck and shoulders into good angulation both in front and rear. Lovely straight front and correct bone for her size. She is just a picture when stood but also comes into her own when she is moving, she moves so true and correct, with such free striding movement, maintain her topline and great tail carriage the whole time. Will continue to watch her career with interest.

2nd Dunne – IR CH KRISBOS TICKLE ME PINK – Another young girl who is a credit to her handler and owner and delighted to have the opportunity to judge her. She is another who presents such a beautiful outline when stood, smaller frame than 1 but this doesn’t detract from her qualities. She is a good dark eye and pigment, good head with enough stop and work to muzzle. Correct ears carried level and goes clean into well placed shoulders and front angulation. Another who has a lovely straight front. Enough spring of rib and length to body to remain balanced and in proportion. She moves so well and drives so well from behind. Thank you for bringing her.
