Sincere thanks to the Officers and Committee for affording me the opportunity to judge my first ESS Club Show.

VD/B (4,1)

1 Cunliffe Ir Sh Ch Calvdale I Say Of Fallenleaf CJW18 Cw18 Cent’W

Presents a balanced outline. Feminine, balanced head with kindest expression. Ears well set and of good length.  Well made forequarters with firm front pasterns. Excellent feet and bone. Plenty length and return of upper arm through to a well laid shoulder. Clean through her good reach of neck into a correct topline.  Good through the ribs and strongly made in loin.  Excellent hindquarters with plenty width to the thigh and hocks low to ground. Moved out soundly. BVIS.

2 Joyce Kingsheath Total Diva At Felltops

Another of typical breed type and presented in gleaming condition. Built on a larger frame with a lovely head and eye. Firm topline with balanced angulation front and back.  Excellent feet and bone.  Firm topline set on well sprung ribs with ample depth to the body.  Short coupled. Steady movement.

1 Calvert Calvdale With Respect

What a scrumptious puppy. Unmistakably masculine with excellent bone and deep padded tight feet.  Balanced head with squareness and strength to the muzzle. Excellent eye with the loveliest of expressions framed by lovely brows and good shaping to his skull.  Ears well set.   Well made in upper arm with strong neck, clean layback to shoulder.  Excellent topline, well ribbed back with strength through the croupline and short coupled.  Excellent tailset.  Balanced ratio of leg to depth of body.  Moved soundly.  He oozes quality and so had no hesitation to award him RBD as well as Best Puppy in Show.

1 Merry Gleadsbury It Is Destiny For Anacapa

Presents a pleasing outline.  Masculine head with expressive eye and good shape to his brows and skull.  Well set ear.  Stands true in front with ample bone and good feet.  Excellent length of neck into well placed shoulder.  Good return of upper arm and nice, tight elbows.  Well made through his well developed chest and ribcage.  Strong hindquarters.  Moved with plenty reach and drive from firm hocks.

2 Warrener Eastfalla Sherlockholmes

Balanced head with well set dark eye and kindly expression framed by desired shaping to the brows.  Balanced skull to muzzle with good amount of stop.  Good length of leg relative to body and ample depth to his brisket.  More moderate in front and rear angulation than the winner so not as much extension in his forward reach and rear drive, nevertheless was sound enough in action on the out and back.

1 Tracz Beresford On My Way With Acregate

Masculine, balanced head with strength to the muzzle, good stop and typical shaping to the skull and brows.  Beautiful expression from correctly shaped dark eyes. Ears well set.  Clean lines through his strong, well arched neck into good shoulders and a firm, level topline. Well made in ribs with plenty of strength and depth to the body. Excellent feet and bone.  Moved out soundly in typical breed style.

2  Claydon Nineoaks Bring Him Home

Another appealing boy.  Balanced in head with good shaping to the skull and muzzle. Lovely eye with pleasing expression.  Stands true in front with ample bone for his size.  Well put together through his middle with ample spring of rib and strong coupled.  Moved out well from strong hindquarters with hocks well let down.  

3 Gledhill Greg De Les Tres Llacunes (Imp)

1 Calvert Sh Ch Calvdale Scaramouche Jones JW

This boy is so well constructed and balanced all through.  Masculine head with plenty work to it and lovely dark, expressive eyes.  Well proportioned between skull and muzzle, with arching to the brows and good chiselling under the eye.  Excellent reach of neck resulting from a super front with its good return and length of upper arm. Clean through the shoulder with a firm, level topline.  Plenty depth through his well sprung ribs.  Excellent rear assembly with ample angulation and broad, well muscled thighs.  Tight, well-padded feet.  Typical breed gait with plenty reach and driving off from very strong hocks. Best Dog; he was up against an outstanding female for top honours and just felt today he had the winning edge.  Delighted to award him Best in Show.

1 Gledhill Dexbenella Dream Of Dreams

Presents a clean outline, nicely proportioned all through, with good angulation front and back.  Balanced, feminine head with super eye and ear.  Good shape to skull and liked the work in her head.  Super hindquarters with plenty width in first and second thigh.  Ample bone and well padded, well shaped feet. Strode out well when settled.  

2 Tolladay Calvdale Half A Story Bethersden

Pleasing outline with clean build through the neck, shoulder placement and correct topline.  Head still breaking but has nicely balanced proportions and good depth to muzzle.  Stands true in front.   Excellent build in body with ribs extending well back.  Excellent bone and feet.  Pleased to award her Best Black and White in Show.

1 Smith Melverly Vignette

Impressive girl who is slightly heavier in build but clearly is full of quality and well balanced.  Beautiful head with dark eye and good work in brow and cheek.  Square muzzle.  Excellent proportions all through with really well made forequarters. Deep, well sprung ribs underpinning a correct topline. Super bone and feet.  Excellent topline and tailset.  Hindquarters sturdy with ample angulation and good breadth across the first and second thighs. Hocks well let down.  Purposeful mover.  

2 Joyce Peasblossom Aura At Felltops

Feminine with lovely head of balanced proportions and correct shaping to the skull and muzzle.  Kindly, dark eye.  Not quite as upstanding in front as one though front angulation appears to be ample with good breadth and depth to the chest. Correct topline with decent spring of rib.  Enough breadth across the hindquarters with hocks well let down.

1st Rose Plaiglen Raggtrade

More finely made in muzzle relative to the strength in skull.  Lovely, soft expression.  Good bone relative to size and decent feet.  Stands true in front with decent length to upper arm. Topline appears level.  Well made in rib.  Plenty of width to the first and second thigh.    Moved a little close behind.

1 Richardson & Terry-Richardson Daenerys Moondancer To Cherishym

Balanced in head with pretty and feminine expression.  She is lighter in frame though very sound throughout and very typical in movement. A touch more length in neck would balance her outline. Strong pasterns front and back with decent angulation.  Good width to thighs.  Well ribbed back with good depth and short coupled.  Excellent topline and tailset.  

2 Boole Plaiglen Raggs To Riches Of Arramow

Another very feminine girl who presents a clean, balanced outline.  Pleasing head with nice shaping to the brows and square in muzzle.  Lovely dark eye.  Stands true in front.  Good reach of neck into clean, well placed shoulders.  Well ribbed back and short coupled.  Ample width across the hindquarters with tidy, well padded feet.

Two super females that pushed hard for the top spots.  Both excellent on the move and presented in first class condition.

1 Calvert Sh Ch Calvdale Flutter JW

Teeming with quality and breed type.  She has such an excellent head and dark eye, all so feminine.   Super reach of neck flowing into well made shoulders and correct topline and tailset.  Well made in forechest with ample depth through the body and good length of leg.  Excellent bone and feet with balanced angulation to her fore and hindquarters.  Looked an absolute treat on the move.  BB, BOS and RBIS

2 Corbett Sh Ch Trimere Time Flys

Another from the top drawer.  Again, so feminine but with strength and balance in her build.  Head has all the desirable detailing with good balance between skull and muzzle.  Ample bone with excellent feet.  Plenty spring and depth to rib cage with elbows sat close to body.  Strong limbed with balanced angulation front and back.    RBB.
