It would like to thank the Society for the allowing me to step in and Judge BIS at this well run terrier show.
I had top quality dogs to examine, and my final short list was exceptional, leaving me spoilt for choice.
I would also like to thank my efficient stewards for keeping the ring so organized.
BIS
Toulson’s Taylor Made - Airedale
This outstanding dog demands your attention as soon as he enters the ring. Head of good proportion with keen expression. He has a straight front with excellent bone. Shoulders well placed with a good spring of rib, strong in loin, powerful hindquarters, a good bend of stifle and hocks well let down. Propulsive free movement, presented in an excellent hard wiry coat of rich tan colour.

Blow’s Jodean Tennesse at Coppatrota- Lakeland
What a smart dog, with nothing overdone; she has a flat skull with ears carried alertly and a good bite. Her shoulders are well laid back, with a short coupled strong back and muscular hindquarters. She moves freely with drive. Presented in an excellent jacket.

Crawley’s Ragus War Paint - Norwich
This one caught my eye with his expressive attitude. Typical hardy compact dog, he has a broad skull, erect ears, set well apart, and a good bite. His neck is of good strength and length into powerful forequarters, ribcage long and well sprung, with a beautiful topline and tail on top. Moved freely and enjoyed his day.

Gee’s Watercroft Moon Dust - Norfolk
This black & tan is a true showman, with an alert character, compact in body and of good size, wedge shaped muzzle, dark oval shape eye, and a defined stop. He has a short back, a good spring of rib, level top line and tail on top leading to muscular hindquarters with a good turn of stifle. Moved smoothly keeping his topline level.

Kenny-Marriott’s Millingford Out of the Blue - Scottie
Just loved this bitch, she has typical breed characteristics, with a proportioned head, almond dark eyes and neat well placed pointed ears. She has a muscular neck, well boned forelegs with broad chest, rounded ribs, short coupled, powerful hindquarters and moved with drive. One to watch for the future.

Thompson – Morgan's Belleville Infamous Clown - Norfolk
What a confident bundle of joy. Masculine head with keen expression, good ear set, broad skull and wedge shaped muzzle. He has clean shoulders which are well laid back, short coupled with a level topline and good rear angulation. Moved smoothly with drive and straight in front.

Bell’s Cloverwood Total Legend - Dandie
This young pepper bitch showing determination with a strongly made head well domed, with eye set well apart, muzzle well developed with a correct bite. Good length of neck, with shoulders well laid back. Ribs well sprung with a good depth of chest and a flexible long body. Moved with a free easy stride.

A quality bitch with a flat skull, dark keen eye, and foreface well filled with delicate chiselling. She has a good length of neck into well laid shoulders a good spring of rib with a level short back. Moved freely and presented in excellent condition in a hard and wiry coat. RBOB

Feminine head with a narrow skull, gentle expression, and filbert shaped ears. Forelegs straight with a horse shoe front. A long tapering neck, a good body length and a natural arch of loin. Free flowing movement with mincing action. Excellent presentation with a crisp blue coat of correct texture. BOB, BP
2nd Nunn’s Mactufts Brave Mans Game
His head has good depth and is well rounded, with correct bite. He carries his head high on a long neck and has a muscular body. Slightly out at elbow, and needs a little more training to get the best out of this dog. Moved and presented well.

A feminine bitch, with neat hair feet, straight front, flat ribbed with good width and depth leading to a moderate tuck up, tail set on low, moderate length of hindquarters with hock well let down. Moved well.

Maturing nicely, head well filled with dark eye, giving the correct appearance. Forelegs straight and flat shoulders with a good length of neck She has moderate arch of loin and tuck up. Tail set on low, moved effortlessly. Did not put on her best performance in the challenge. RBOB

At 15mth this young cream bitch is balanced, with a harsh double coat. She has an exquisite expression with neat well placed ears, dark eyes, enough width in skull, which is well furnished. She has a straight front, level back with a good tail set. Hindquarters muscular with enough bend of stifle. Moved freely. RBOB
2nd Dennis & Waites Svendalens Skye Lantern
At just 6 months, this young bitch was enjoying her day. A pretty head with fearless expression, neat well placed ears, a good length of neck, well placed shoulders, a little long in loin, but has a good tail set, and moved well. BP

This bitch is of a good size and balanced throughout. She has an alert expression, with a good width of skull, and definite stop, with a strong jaw. She has a medium body length with well sprung ribs, strong in loin, with a level topline. Moved well. Correct double coat but was a little sparse today.

An assertive dog that is demands your attention. He has an expressive head, with good width of skull, and well filled muzzle. He has a straight front, good depth of rib, level topline with good tail set, muscular hindquarters with good bend of stifle completed the picture moving with confidence and drive from behind. Double coated with harsh jacket. BOB
2nd Munday’s Lentrica Mystic Warrior
Another balanced dog, he has a masculine head with a strong muzzle and dark eye. Neck of good length, well laid shoulders, a good spring of rib with a supple loin, muscular hindquarters and correct tail set. Moved freely with good reach in front.

Balanced throughout with a long flexible body, muscular hindquarters, good bend of stifle and hocks well let down. Presented in good condition with double coat. A shame he was reluctant to move.

Head of good proportions, with dark round eyes of good size. Pendulous ears set well back. This bitch has a wide front with good depth of brisket, well laid shoulder, low with gradual rise over loin leading to tail. She is presented with a lovely topknot, and good furnishings throughout with correct texture.
Moved freely with easy stride. BOB
2nd Sleight’s Ch Danchester’s Can you Hear Me Roar for Bonnybeck
Strong well-proportioned head, broad skull with large round eyes, surrounded by a profuse top not. Good bone, good depth of body, well laid shoulders, with long body and curve over loin. Presented in double coat in excellent condition. Moved well. RBOB

9mth bitch She has neat ears and a dark almond eye, her head is of good proportion although a little weak in muzzle. She has a good reach of neck, straight front, well sprung ribs, level back with moderate length of loin. Free striding movement. BP
2nd Laycock’s Chandlimore Buddy Boy
7mth male Strong in muzzle has a well-defined stop and moderate width of skull, he has a straight front, well bodied with a level back and slight arch leading to a good tail set. Muscular hindquarters, with a good bend of stifle. Moved well.

Masculine head with tan markings, he has a dark eye, good bite and well placed ears. A sufficient length of neck into well laid shoulders. Rib cage oval and spannable, with muscular loin. Moved freely with straight movement from rear and aft. RBOB

This smooth bitch has that typical look of a JRT that could easily go to a day’s work. She has a flat skull with neat ears, and a well-defined stop. She has a good reach of neck into well laid shoulders with good angulation throughout. Moved well.

This alert dog has strength in his muzzle, with a well-defined stop, and a flat skull. Muscular neck, deep in chest, well sprung rib, and is strong in loin, although slightly long cast, is in overall balance. Strong hindquarters, which he uses to produce a good stride. BOB
2nd Thornley & Smith’s Fast Love with Locheil ShCEx
Male dog with rich tan markings on his masculine head, with neat ears which he uses well, dark well shaped eyes. Good neck into well laid back shoulders, spannable, correct height to length proportions and held his topline on the move. Presented in weatherproof coat.

This dog is low and keen, moderate neck and well-laid shoulders with balance of upper arm. He is short in back, strong top-line with a good tail set. Wedge shaped muzzle and well filled, correct ear set. Moved with propulsion. Presented in hard and wiry coat.

One I have admired from the ringside, this cobby bitch has a lot to like. Her head is well developed with good proportions, well filled muzzle, distinct stop formed by bony ridges. Clean well laid back shoulders with deep ribs, short coupled, level topline. Muscular hindquarters, hocks well let down. Presented in a white harsh double coat. She moves freely with plenty more in the tank.

2nd Fewings’s Ch Komidion Passionato - Cesky
Head of good proportions with a distinct stop, ears of good size and carried close to cheeks. Elegant neck, medium body length with slight rise over her loin. Strong muscular hindquarters. Propulsive movement with drive, keeping her topline as she goes.
