Thank you to the society for inviting me to judge at their open show. A super big thank you to my steward Julie Cartwright for her efficient running of the ring. And a final thanks to all exhibitors for your entries, I am very grateful for your support.

Puppy (4,3)

1. 80- Heron’s- DILIRYSTAFF MATEO

8-month Playful white dog with a speckle of red on him. He certainly doesn’t lack for strength with plenty of width to his front, depth to brisket and spring of rib at this age. He’s well off for bone. He has a strong head to balance it out, with a distinct stop, dark eyes and well pronounced cheek bumps, correct scissor bite and plenty of underjaw. He has lovely expression which he uses well. He has good bend of stifle and well let down hocks. He enjoyed his time on the mat, playing his handler up on the move but being a cheeky puppy is all part of the fun, but once he got moving, he held his topline and moved with confidence. He was my BPIB and pleased to see him go to Terrier Puppy group 3.

Junior (3,1)

1. 90- Martinez’s – BULLBROTHERS SWIFT WIND

17 month Feminine red and white bitch. I really liked her she had such a pretty face and expression. Lovely head proportions, enough stop, dark eyes, clean as a whistle. Correct scissor bite, enough underjaw. Straight boned front, enough brisket, Neat and extremely well-padded feet. Good rib and close coupled, nice tuck up, with good bend of stifle and good rear angulations. Tad unsettled on the move at first but once she got moving, she moved well holding her topline. I think as she matures the overall picture of this bitch will finish her off. But as she is right now, she is lovely.

2. 84- Kirk, Rochelle, Rochelle & Wilson’s - KIRSTAFF GOD OF THUNDER

12 months red dog just days into junior. Neat ears, Distinct stop, clean muzzle housing the biggest and whitest teeth of the day, and a lovely look at me expression. Well boned front with the neatest of feet. Sufficient rib, good top line and decent rear angulation. He moved well, holding his topline. He made his lady handler work hard as he wanted to be everyone’s friend today. Slightly less mature than 1 at this stage which meant he lost out on the overall balance and maturity but time is on his side he has a lot more to come, I am sure!

Post Graduate (6,2)

1. 76- Cartwright’s - ELITEBULL SKYEFALL JW

She may as well have fallen as a gift from the sky because she is lovely! Standard size 22-month Black brindle bitch. Who knows what ring presence is and how to use it to her advantage, I couldn’t take my eyes off her. Prettiest of heads, with distinct stop, neat well-placed ears and clean tight lips, correct scissor bite. Straight front, with good width and depth to brisket, neat feet. Good rib, good rear angulation and well bent stifles. She moved out well, with drive and free flowing. I was pleasantly surprised when I put my hands on her that her condition was firmer that meets the eyes! She was very balanced and meets the standard well. Pleased to award her RBOB.

2. 79 – Heron’s- DILIRYSTAFF EURPHORIA

Pretty brindle bitch with a lovely head shape, good length of muzzle and correct ears. Lovely dark round eyes. Clean and tight-lipped, correct scissor bite with enough under jaw. This girl has a keen expression. Straight front, with decent width to it, I liked her spring of rib. She had a level top line, close coupled but longer cast than 1. Her rear angulations were good and well-muscled, she was in lovely condition. She moved out well showing a level topline and correct tail set. I just preferred the overall balance of 1.

3. 92- Robinson, Robinson-Cox & Cox’s - HAMASON A WISH AWAY

Open (5,0)

1. 82- Hinsley’s - EARTHQUAKE STAFFS WEAR IT WELL AT TIGERBULL (IMP ESP)

A stunning white dog with red eye patch, and splash of red on his ear. 2 years old and He blew me away. I wrote in my notes, WOW and wow indeed. Dark eyes, tight lips, and a correct bite, sufficient underjaw. Well boned, good width to his front, balanced, correct lay of shoulder, and width to rib, close coupled and a lovely muscled rear. Tight pasterns, and well-padded neat feet. I was excited to put my hands on him and feel his condition, no muscle was left ignored, a huge credit to his owners because that doesn’t happen overnight. His construction seems on point which made sense when he moved effortlessly up and down the ring which showing drive from his rear and holding his topline, after all if they are made right, they move right! I had no doubts in awarding him BOB and I was delighted to see him go and win the terrier group then to find out he went best in show just speaks volumes to how wonderful this boy is! Congratulations!!!

2. 93- Robinson, Robinson-Cox & Cox’s -STUDSTAFF SUGAR AND SPICE OF HAMASON JW ShCM

For her age, I want to know this girls secret because she pulled out of her bag of tricks some of the best movement I have ever seen! At nine years old, she barely has a speckle of grey on her red and white. Lovely clean head, with neat ears, the darkest round eyes and correct bite. Well off for bone and rib, and good depth of brisket with the correct lay of shoulder. She had a good amount of rib, and good rear angulations. She won her place by not only having these virtues but then sealing the deal by with this mesmerising movement. If I was to be picky, would I want better condition maybe? But at 9 years old she is in pretty good nick too! Thank you so much for bringing her!

3. 74. Bowman’s – Sikaistaff All of Me at Kamiflo
