Tunbridge Wells & District Canine Society

It was my great pleasure to be invited to judge the Tunbridge Wales and DCS, the special

140th-anniversary show. The organisers showed skill in organising a fabulous celebration.

There were excellent rings, layouts, entertainment, and raffles. The location was well

selected, and there was great parking, with excellent weather as a bonus.

A special Thank you to the lovely secretary of the society Debbie Willett and all the

committee for their hospitality. To my super efficient steward Carole Spelman. And to all the

exhibitors for entering their beautiful dogs under me.

Shetland Sheepdog

Class 298 puppy (5 entries, 1 absentee)

1st 498 - Dukeson the Cruzader

7 month old sable boy, nicely matured for his age, presenting good outlines, good dentition,

correct ears, nicely shaped eyes creating a pleasant expression. Good reach of neck, level

topline, good coat structure, ‘well dressed’ for his age, moved freely, with lovely attitude,

attentive to his handler. Promising puppy, just hope he will not grow any higher.

Best puppy, nice to see him winning puppy group 4.

2nd 496 – Sandwick iridescent to Zaniah

Very feminine bluemerle girl, beautifully balanced with nice outline. 10 month old. Good

dentition, correct head proportions and stop, good ears, dark almond eyes with the sweetest of

expressions. Excellent angulation, lovely topline, correct tail set with enough length.

Her blue background coat colour is just divine, on well structured coat.

Moved freely, in style, just need some more confidence. Good luck with her lovely baby.

2nd 489 – Valdosta Lionking at Lynscot

Handsome sable boy, 17 month old, with good dentition, pleasant head and expression. Dark

almond eyes, nicely shaped ears, good length of neck, well sprung ribs. I would prefer a

touch longer body loin for a better tailset and carriage. Moved freely, in a bubbly mood.

1st 499 – Dippersmoor in Dreams

Beautiful tricolour girl, feminine and very well balanced. 17 month old. Good dentition,

correct headlines, stop, dark almond eyes with sweet intelligent expression. Correctly arched

neck of good length. beautiful top line, good length of tail and its carriage. Correct coat

structure. Well boned parallel leg, correct angulation of both front and rear. Moved sound

with excellent drive and action. My BEST of BREED.

2nd 501 – Evad Halloween Spice JW

Very sweet sable girl, with pleasant head and expression. Very well balanced all over. 1,5

years old. Dark almond eyes, clean head lines, good stop, correct ears set, good dentition.

Parallel legs with tidy feet, well angulated. Good length of tail, beautifully carried, moved

freely and soundly. Reserve best of breed.

Class 301 – open (6 entries, 1 absentee)

1st 483 – Dippersmoor Daquiri at Sonspirit

Attractive orange male, very well matured for his age. 3 years old. Correct dentition, good

proportion of head, but would prefer a tad narrower in skull. Bright dark eyes. Level back,

nicely developed ribcage. Strong parallel legs, tidy feet, rich correctly structured coat,

immaculately prepared and presented. Moved freely around the ring.

2nd 500 – Evad Halloween Queen JW

Ultra feminine sable bitch, of lovely outline. 5 years old. Good dentition, clean headlines,

would prefer a touch fuller muzzle. Good stop, dark almond shaped eyes with super sweet

expression. Good length of neck, top line. Excellent angulation, front and rear. Long well

feathered tail of good carriage, moved soundly.

1st 437 – Laceway Bite the Bullet

An attractive 11 month-old puppy boy, well matured for his age. Pleasant head and

expression, correct dentition, nice set of ears. Strong topline, good paralell leg with excellent

angulation, well sprung cage of ribs, with enough depth. Nicely masculine all over. Beautiful

shiny coat, immaculately prepared and presented. Moved soundly around the ring with great

action. BEST PUPPY, really pleased to see him winning Pastoral Puppy Group 1.

1st 432 – Bilyara isn’t she lovely AI

Top class young girl, oozes of breed quality, fit for purpose. Almost 1,5 years old. Correct

dentition, pleasant head with intelligent expression. Beautiful eyes, nice set of ears. Good

reach of neck, excellent topline, strong parallel legs front and rear. Impressive angulation.

Well sprung ribs, enough depth of chest. Ideal size, shows an outstanding gait and movement,

typical of the breed. My BEST OF BREED, nice to see her winning Pastoral Group 4.

2nd 437 – Laceway Bite the Bullet

1st 434 – Cwnhapus Jewel in the Crown

Beautiful young girl with excellent outlines. Well balanced all over. 14 month old. Good

dentition, well proportioned head with nice oval eyes of pleasant expression. Good width and

depth of chest, parallel leg, good topline, moderate angulation, moved freely with good drive.

2nd 444 – Birkcross Black Raven

Attractive male, strong and masculine, well balanced and matured for his age. 1,5 years old.

Good dentition. Strong muzzle with pleasing expression. Good length of neck, correct top

line. Well boned, parallel leg, nicely padded feet. Well prepared shiny coat of correct

structure. Moved freely around the ring, just preferred the action of 1st

.

Class 269 – open (5 entries, 0 absentees)

1st 438 – Jupavia Divine Dream

Well balanced handsome dog with beautiful head, pleasant eyes of mild expression. 2 years

old. Correct size and position of ears. Good dentition. Strong well ribbed body. Good length

neck of good reach. Excellent bone, parallel legs, neat feet and impressive angulation, front

and rear. Shows lovely outline while standing and on the move, sound, covering ground with

good action and drive. Reserve Best of Breed.

2nd 440 – Moshanta may contain nuts JW ShCEx OSW

Beautifully matured boy, well balanced and shown in immaculate condition. 5 years old.

Good dentition. Well proportioned head with gentle expression and good ears set. Excellent

length of neck and top outline. Well sprung ribs with enough depth. Strong paralell leg,

pleasing angulation. Moved freely around the ring. Just preferred the type and action of 1st.
