I would like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this well organised and popular show. Thanks also to my steward Graham who kept the ring running smoothly. It was great to be outside I always think that the dogs look better on grass. I took over Linda Crowley’s American Cocker & Pointer entry and I hope that she has now made a full recovery.

Pointer

P 1 Barham’s Alozia Zephryne (BP). 11 month old liver and white bitch with typical head and expression, adequate bone and well muscled. Balanced and moved well once settled.

J 1 Allen & Betts Hawkfield Kings Ransom. 14 month old dog with some maturing to do. Appealing head with well set ears. Long neck and body with good depth balanced. Erratic on the move today.

PG 1 Cardiff’s Freebreeze Pixar at Prosperity (BOB) A very typey bitch of 20 months she presents a lovely shape standing. Beautiful head and expression. Soundly construction with well let down brisket, quality bone and covering plenty of ground on the move. I really liked her. 2 Matthews Sonham C’est La Vie, A different type to 1, black and white bitch with much to like. She has a typical head and nice expression, is balanced and moved soundly. (RBOB) 3 Barham’s Droveborough’s Mocha Mayhem.

O 1 Barham’s Kenwardgold Minnie Me A 9 year old liver and white bitch with good outline stacked, correctly shaped head and pleasing expression. Strong front and well let down with good bone she moved OK.

PG 1 Walden’s Taramount Golden Ticket (BOB) A well made dog with correctly proportioned masculine head. long neck into soundly made front, good depth of body and strong loin. In full coat and beautifully presented, Covered the ground well on the move with ease. 2 Kemp’s Arrowbien Ivy Queen. A very feminine 3 year old bitch who was in fine fettle and well presented. She couldn’t match the movement of 1 today. O 1 Walden’s Truly Yours Clear Magic for Taramount (Imp DNK) (RBOB) A well presented pretty bitch with appealing head. Muscular neck into well placed shoulders. Short compact body, in good coat and covered the ground on the move.

Hungarian Vizsla

P&J 1 Challis’s Vizslanya Domenkos (BP) A 6 month old puppy dog who is very well put together and moved soundly when he got going. Typical head with good bite. Strong neck and pleasing angles fore and aft he is well balanced and slightly tucked up.

PG 1 Challis’s Vizslanya Vizi JW (BOB) A 2 year old bitch with beautiful head, correct eye colour and size. Muscular neck into well made front with good depth of body. Strong loin and well muscled she covered the ground on the move.

O 1 Challis’s Vizslanya Csibe JW (RBOB) Another very typey bitch from this kennel with beautiful head, Long muscular neck into soundly constructed front assembly. She is balanced with moderate rear angulation but was not as positive on the move as her kennel mate today.

Spaniel English Springer

P 1 Cokell, Nicklin & Ainsley Carlyquinn Winter Storm (BP) Really lovely 9 month old bitch puppy who demands your attention. Pleasing head with correctly shaped eye and kind expression. Good length of neck into well made front. Nice depth of body and rear angles with quality bone she moved freely once settled. 2 Williams, Toublic & Toublic Cobhay Heavenly Hydrangea, 8 month old bitch who is a nice size. Pretty head and strong front construction, she has good depth of body, a strong loin and quality bone no as together as 1 at the moment but she has plenty of time. 3 Glass Cobhay Rosa Meg.

J 1 Tolladay’s Calvdale Half a Story at Bethersden. 16 month old black and white bitch with lovely head and expression. Muscular neck and pleasing angles fore and aft. She still has some maturing to do but has good depth of body, turn of stifle and short hocks. Her movement was better in the class than later in the challenge today. 2 Fitchett Kingsheath Sun Dance 16 month old black and white dog with masculine head and who is balanced. He was in good coat with quality bone and tight feet but had girls on his mind today.

PG Abs

O 1 Hydon’s Clentonian Pandemonium JW ShCex OSW (BOB) Nice sized bitch with feminine head and kind expression. Correct eye shape and colour, strong neck into well laid shoulders. In good coat and condition with sufficient bone and short hocks she was a happy and sound mover. 2 Williams Toublic & Toublic’s Cobhay Fancy Phlox (RBOB) A pretty bitch with pleasing head and kind expression. Well made all through and sound moving she was sympathetically handled.

Spanish Water Dog

PG – 1 Page & Robinson’s Zorrazo Xquisite Croatian Perl at Deltoroesta (BOB) 5 year old medium sized bitch in full coat. Pleasing head and muscular neck into adequate shoulders. Level back and deep chest. Pleasing rear angles sympathetically handled moved well out and back.
