Thanks to the officers and committee of the society for their kind invitation to judge at this well run show. Thanks also to Fiona my steward who kept the ring running smoothly.

Sussex Spaniel

G 1 ALDERSON’S MEGGAMOOCH YESTERDAY, 6 month old dog of the correct type with wide skull and frowning expression. Soundly made with correct body proportions, strongly boned with well padded feet. Moved well; 2 FOSTER’S NESSI COVA DA IRIA TAF, 12mth old longer cast bitch. Feminine head and long strong neck, her eyes giving a soft expression. Shown in lovely condition and beautifully handled. She still has some maturing to do but time is on her side.

O 1 ALDERSON’S STORMACRE TINY DANCER WITH MEGGAMOOCH (BOB & BP). 9 month old well grown dog puppy with wide skull, correct bite and strong neck. Soundly put together all through and well boned with strong loin. Moving true out and back; 2 MOWBRAY’S SH CH GAINSMILL LILLY LUNA POTTER AT CRUMBLEDOR, 5 year old bitch with much to like, appealing head with eyes giving a soft expression. Strong neck and correct angles fore and aft. Correct coat with tipping and sound on the move.

American Cocker Spaniel

PG 1 MORRIS’S MYCALLEYS SIROCCO (BOB) 17 mth old dog with handsome head and alert expression. Muscular neck into well-made body with strong back and short coupling. Correct slightly sloping topline. Covered the ground well on the move; 2 MOULD’S UNE CERISE NOIRE VIGIE DU CLOS DES ABYSSES DE PROVENCE (IMP FRA) (BP) 10 month old black dog with masculine head and dark eyes. Strong neck and really covering the ground on the move, I just preferred the topline of 1.

O 1 MOULD’S NASAILLEN NIGEL. 3 year old dog with masculine head and soft expression. Soundly made and in good coat and condition with ground covering movement with the correct topline; 2 MORRIS & JEFFERSON’S MYCALLEYS KOKO JW. 17 mth old bitch with feminine head and dark eye. Nicely put together all through I just preferred the topline of winner on the move.

Clumber Spaniel

O 1 DAWSON’S BIG BOOM’S VIKING LIV BESKERBY (BOB) A 3 year old bitch of good type with appealing head and expression. Strong neck into adequately angled front, well boned with nicely proportioned body and large round feet. Not handled to the best advantage today but excelling in type; 2 DAWSON’S BESKERBY FLORA FINCHING. A soundly put together 15 mth old bitch who is longer in body than 1. Well presented and handled she still has some maturing today and was lacking the coat of her kennel mate today.

Cocker Spaniel

P 1 WATSON’S QUETTADENE STARS ALIGNED OVER BORDACITY (BP) 9 month old black dog with well proportioned masculine head with correctly shaped dark eyes. Lovely angles all through and in good coat and condition. Sound on the move.

J 1 KALISPELL’S WHOLE LOTTA LOVE FOR BRABAZONIA. A 14 mth old blue roan bitch with pleasing head dark eye and kind expression. Well put together with square outline and level topline lovely rump and constantly wagging tail. truly merry.

PG 1 BACON’S TIMBRIC DORIS DAY JW Pretty blue roan bitch with pleasing head, dark eye and gentle expression. Decent neck into adequately made front. Good outline stacked and in full coat. Movement was OK.

O 1 BARBER-BALL’S KALISPELL COUER DE LION (BOB) 5 yr old blue roan dog whose tail never stopped wagging. Handsome head with dark eyes and intelligent expression. Correct bite and muscular neck into well made front. Correct depth of body and good outline stacked. Covered the ground well on the move; 2 TERRY’S SHAGGYLANDS DESPERATE DAN. 4 yr old blue roan dog pleasing head and well balanced with everything in the right place. He just didn’t seem to have his mind on the job in hand today.

English Springer Spaniel

PG 1 CALVERT’S CALVDALE WITH RESPECT JW (BOB) 15 mth old dog with correctly proportioned masculine head. Good strong neck into well laid shoulders. Deep chested with good spring of rib, balanced and with quality bone. Moved well on tight feet once settled

O 1 CALVERT’S SH CH CALVDALE EVER THUS JW. Father to the winner of the previous class and similar comments apply. Soundly made and a worthy champion, I preferred the stronger backend of his son today.

Field Spaniel

O 1 HEPBURN & LAVERICK’S IRISBEL FROM NOW ON (BOB) 16 mth old black bitch. Feminine head with dark eye and gentle expression. Correct bite, deep chested with level topline and nice rear angles. Moved well once settled.

Irish Red & White Setter

O 1 TAIT’S SH CH TALINTYRE WINTER SPICE (BOB) 4 year old pretty bitch with appealing head and muscular neck into well balanced body with deep chest. Sufficient bone for a bitch she was beautifully presented and handled.

English Setter

O 1 STEPHENSON’S MARIGLEN WAVE DANCER FOR BONDGATE JW (BOB). 2 year old balanced bitch with pretty head and muscular neck. Correctly put together and well ribbed up with nice turn of stifle and shown in good coat and condition; 2 SMETTEM-MINSON’S LUCKSHERAY ZENITH OF FAME AT CHYWOON (IMP RUS). 4 year old dog with masculine head and lean muscular neck. Adequate angles fore and aft, his movement did not match that of 1.

Irish Setter

J 1 SCOTT’S SCOKIRA EMERALD DREAM (BOB). 15 mth old bitch with typical head with dark eyes and kind intelligent expression. Muscular neck into well laid shoulders, Deep chested with gently sloping topline and good turn of stifle she was shown in good coat and condition.

PG 1 S EMERALD DREAM; 2 NEVITT’S JOAODAWS STARGAZER JW 2 year old bitch with feminine head and dark eye giving a kind expression. Good reach of neck and well made all through with nice turn of stifle. Moved well; 3 RIDDELL’S RIVERWOOD WE WILL ROCK YOU (IMP BEL).

Labrador Retriever

 J 1 CHARLTON’S FOXRUSH HERMIONE (BP & PG2) A beautiful 9 mth old puppy who never stopped showing the whole time she was in the ring. Pretty head with dark eyes and intelligent expression. Strong neck into well laid shoulders. Soundly made body with strong loin and correct jacket. She covers the ground well on the move; 2 MORROW’S SERENGOCH’S NINE TO FIVE. Well grown 13 mth old chocolate bitch feminine head with dark eye and intelligent expression. Strong neck, balanced and well made all through she just didn’t have the animation of 1; 3 TINLIN-THOMPSON’S CILURNUM TINTHO FLAVIA.

PG 1 MORROW’S RHYTHM LACEY (BOB) 3 year old chocolate bitch with pleasing head and intelligent expression. Strong neck into well placed shoulders. Chest of correct depth and well sprung ribs. In good coat with quality bone and moving well on round feet; 2 CHARLTON’S FOXRUSH HENRIETTA Litter sister to the winner of the previous class and similar comments apply. She will hold her own in good company but did not have the ring presence of her sister today; 3 TINLIN-THOMPSON’S CLAYCHALK NATILLIE.

P 1 KING’S ASHBYGLEN I PUT A SPELL ON YOU (BP, BOB, PG1 & BPIS) 8 mth old well grown bitch who is full of quality. Balanced feminine head with dark eye and good pigmentation. Muscular neck of good length into well laid shoulders. She is balanced with a strong loin and has pleasing turn of stifle. Excelling in breed type she was shown in lovely coat and moved with drive on tight feet; 2 PRICE’S JOMIAGAN STORM WARNING.7 mth old dog, masculine head with well set ears. I would prefer a better lay of shoulder but he has good depth of body, quality bone and was in good coat. He looked raw next to 1.

J 1 A I PUT A SPELL ON YOU; 2 WILLIAMS’ LAMHRYN STAR OF THE SEA JW. 15 mth old bitch from a smaller mould. Appealing head with dark eye and excellent pigmentation. Strong neck and nicely put together with short loin and quality bone. I preferred the movement of 1; 3 KEAY’S CASTLEGOLDEN CLASSY LADDY.

PG 1 MADDISON’S JAYMARDY SWEET CAROLINE JW. 3 year old bitch with feminine head and muscular neck. Soundly put together with level topline and in good coat. Perhaps could benefit from carrying slightly less weight.

O 1 WILLIAMS’ AURISTELA LADY LUCK AT LAMHRYN. A well balanced bitch with appealing head and strong neck into well made front. Straight forelegs and quality bone she was in fine fettle and moved with drive on tight feet; 2 EWART PARLICKVIEW BLAZE OF GLORY OVER BEAUPIPPIN JW. Pretty girl with mid gold coat. I would prefer more depth of muzzle but she has a strong neck into adequately angulated front. Strong in the loin with nice turn of stifle and good feet.

AV Gundog

P 1 TAIT’S TALINTYRE FOMHAR REIVER. 10 mth old Red & White Setter with masculine head and correctly set ears. Muscular neck and well made all through with good depth of chest and well sprung ribs. In beautiful coat and condition with well bent stifles and short hock to heel; 2 BALMER’S TRAPALEBA CARRERA. 11 mth old Weimaraner who is balanced and with much to like. Well put together but at still needing to tighten up which affected her movement.

O 1 BALMER’S MABANIKA OMEGA. Weimaraner 5 yr old balanced bitch of a nice size. Correctly put together and sound moving with sufficient substance; 2 SH CH G LILLY LUNA POTTER AT C.

V 1 SCRIMGEOUR’S VELVETINE THE BRIDE, 8 yr old Chocolate Labrador who presents a typical outline standing. Strong front construction, correct depth of body and level topline held on the move, she covered the ground well. BV & BVIS; 2 WATSON’S SH CH BORDACITY HONEY RYDER VW. 10 year old English Springer Spaniel. Appealing head and strong neck into well made shoulders. Soundly made all through she did not match the movement of 1 today.

Gundog Grp

1 CHANDLER’S SH CH CHANANGEL JO SUGDEN JW. WSS. So soundly constructed and very typical in good coat and fine condition. He really powered round the ring like he owned it.

2 BOOTH’S LUNDGARTH JUBILEE JW. POINTER. Sound moving and ultra feminine her outline is a series of graceful curves.

3 PEARSON’S KELEVRA COVO DI LADRI JW. BRACCO. Soundly constructed and moving, with the correct gait and well handled.
